Shergul Arshad, VP, Business Development, StyleFeeder: Shergul is an accomplished executive with over 16 years of professional experience in online business development, eCommerce and traditional and non-traditional media. Shergul started his career at traditional advertising agencies, having spent seven years at Young & Rubicam and then Arnold Worldwide. After receiving his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan Business School, Shergul worked at FairMarket in sales and business development. He was instrumental in the sale of FairMarket to eBay, Inc., and he subsequently spent the next 2 years with eBay in California. Shergul was hired away from eBay to run Business Development for Sports Loyalty Systems, where he structured partnerships with the Los Angeles Dodgers and Arizona Diamondbacks. At StyleFeeder, Shergul has primarily focused his efforts on partnerships that grow traffic, memberships and revenue for the web's only personal shopping engine. Shergul has spoken at Digital Hollywood in both 2007 and 2008. Previously, Shergul was a featured speaker at the PromoExpo in Chicago while working for eBay, and was a featured speaker at the Los Angeles Dodgers sponsor retreat while with Sports Loyalty Systems. He holds a B.A. from Harvard University, and an M.B.A from the University of Michigan. Originally from Florence, Italy, Shergul currently resides in Lexington, MA with his wife and two kids.

Gary Yentin, Consultant, Global Media and Entertainment: Gary Yentin has been
consulting with global media and entertainment on their digital strategies over the last fifteen years. With a recent focus on mobile advertising and the monetization of mobile content, Gary has consulted for Admob, Nokia, Rogers and currently manages Quattro Wireless' Canadian practice. Previously, Gary worked in the role of Vice-President at m-Qube (acquired by Verisign) where he was responsible in building out the mobile storefront business for Virgin Mobile Canada, CTV, Telus and Sympatico.

Nicholas Montes, is President of Viva Vision where he is responsible for the company’s operations, market strategy and long-term growth. Under his leadership, Viva Vision has demonstrated unprecedented growth in revenue, subscribers and distribution. In 2007, Viva Vision experienced a 350% revenue growth and a 130% spike in subscribers and is on course to finish 2008 with similar growth metrics. Additionally, in 2008, Viva Vision was named one of the top five media companies on the INC. 500 list of fastest growing private companies in America. Prior to Viva Vision, Nicholas held the role of vice president, mobile sales and marketing for American Greetings Interactive (AGI), where he was responsible for all global sales, marketing and strategic planning for the company’s wireless division. He directly managed carrier distribution channels, business development, content creation and, licensing, forging lucrative deals with leading brand partners including Univision Communications, Def Jam Enterprises, and Sports Illustrated/Time Inc. Under his leadership, AGI experienced exponential growth with annual sales exceeding 12 million in revenue Prior to AGI, Nicholas spent over 10 years at Verizon Wireless where he held several senior level marketing positions. As the director of multicultural marketing at Verizon Wireless, he was responsible for driving subscription acquisition growth in voice and data services for customer segments including Hispanics, African Americans, and Asian Americans. Under his leadership, Nicholas managed over 50 million in advertising budgets and developed multi-million dollar marketing campaigns designed to drive new acquisitions. During his tenure at Verizon Wireless, Nicholas pioneered the use of wireless integrated marketing campaigns leveraging major media properties like World Cup, Copa America and Grammy award-winning Alejandro Sanz. Nicholas is a current Board Member of Viva Vision Inc. and is an active member of the CTIA WIC Leadership Team.

Simon Rivard is VP Marketing and Web analytics of Canoe.ca, the online division of Quebecor Media, the largest Canadian media group. He is a strategic thinker that can quickly capture key market drivers, define strategy and deliver financial performance. He have more than 15 years of experience in business development, product development, marketing and merchandising in B2B and B2C environment with a proven track record of building revenues and profits both online and offline. Passionate about web analytics, he like to say that “measuring and understanding is everything”













Meir Friedlander, President and CEO, Eyecon Technologies, Inc.: Digital Home and Interactive TV Veteran, previously CEO and founder at Vsoft, Executive at SeamBI, Amdocs and Digital Equipment. Mr. Friedlander has 25+ years of experience in leadership, execution, operations, strategic vision, and investments, a pioneer of IPTV, VoD, and Networked PVR at Digital Equipment Corporation. High tech background in various industries: Telecom, Media Service Providers, Advertisements, Internet Content and Home Entertainment. Mr. Friedlander has held CEO and executive roles in start-ups and large organizations; Amdocs Inc, a market leader in customer care and billing systems for network service porviders; Vsoft LTD. Founder and CEO at Mediacomp and VSoft. Mr. Friedlander graduated Magna Cum Laude from Tel Aviv University with a MSC in Computer Science and BSc in Computer Science and Mathematics. Mr. Friedlander holds 5 U.S. patents.




Erik Schwartz, Co-Founder/CEO, Foneshow Inc. Erik Schwartz spent 15 years in Silicon Valley at the bleeding edge of the convergence of entertainment and technology. In the late '80s he was an independent developer of interactive videodiscs and CD-ROMs. In the early '90s he was employee number 7 at ICTV, a pioneer in interactive television. He was the product manager for the deployment of one of the first digital video on demand systems that ran on Cox Cable's Omaha, Nebraska system. In early 1997 he went to Yahoo! Inc. where he created the entertainment group. In that role he managed the team that built Yahoo! Movies, Yahoo! TV, Yahoo! Music, Yahoo! Radio and Yahoo! Entertainment. Erik drove the concept and managed the development of Yahoo! Games, the leading online casual games site. When he's not working in technology Erik sails across oceans singlehanded. Erik has more than 10,000 solo miles under sail, including the 2002 and 2004 singlehanded transpacific races and 3 solo transpacific passages. Infrequently you may also find Erik performing on stage in light opera, even more infrequently you may find him directing theatrical productions. Erik, his wife and their three kids live in Bath, Maine where they are (slowly) restoring a 157 year old shipbuilding magnate's mansion overlooking the Kennebec River.

Rob Grady, EVP of Marketing and Strategy, Wetpaint: As Senior Vice President, Marketing at Wetpaint, Rob leads the marketing and positioning strategies for the company. Rob came to Wetpaint from Starbucks where he was Vice President of Global Beverage. In that position he was responsible for product innovation and business management of all hot and cold handcrafted beverages served in Starbucks stores around the world. Rob moved to VP, Global Beverage from his previous positions with the company including, VP, US Beverage, Director, Espresso, and Director, Venture Development, where he lead the development of new ventures such as the White Wave soymilk partnership and Starbucks Coffee & Crème Liqueur products. Prior to Starbucks, Rob spent 5 years in marketing at RealNetworks, the pioneer in Internet audio and video, leading a variety of consumer software launches under the RealPlayer and RealJukebox names. Rob began his career at Procter & Gamble, where he spent 5 years in the supply chain organization leading the manufacturing and delivery of products in the health/beauty care and paper products categories. Rob holds an undergraduate degree in Economics from Harvard College and an MBA from Stanford University.

Warren Tomlin – President, Fuel Industries: As Fuel Industries’ President, Warren Tomlin provides the solid strategy and creative direction necessary to keep Fuel on the cutting edge of digital entertainment. Bringing over a decade of business and marketing experience to his role, Warren is responsible for the creative, operations and client satisfaction for Fuel’s Ottawa, Denver and L.A. offices, and is responsible for ensuring that Fuel continues to push creative boundaries and innovate in both its client-driven content and its licensed properties. Warren’s extensive prior experience includes Chief Creative Officer for Fuel, where Warren has been instrumental in developing digital campaigns and marketing programs for industry giants such as McDonald’s, HBO, Kraft and EA. Prior to joining Fuel, Warren led eBusiness Strategy and Product Development for Canada Post Corporation, a C$5.5-billion Crown Corporation. In that role, Warren defined and led many of Canada Post’s innovations including the strategic definition and delivery of canadapost.ca to become the number-one directory website in Canada. An innovative and creative web strategist, he has intimate knowledge of interactive marketing topics including web strategy, social media and mobile marketing. With an infectious energy and passion for fostering innovation within the marketing community, Warren is an accomplished presenter and speaks on a variety of new media marketing topics. Most recently, he has represented Fuel and spoken at IN09 Toronto, Digital Hollywood Events at CES 2009, and co-presented a keynote on the future of mobile gaming and advertising at the Intel Developers’ Forum. Mr. Tomlin holds a Masters of Business Administration from Queen’s University at Kingston.
