Joerg Bachmaier, Senior Vice President, Digital Media, Business Development, Endemol, (Big Brother, Deal or no Deal): Joerg joined Endemol USA in 2006 as Director and was elevated to VP Business Development, Strategic Planning, Digital Media in 2007. He was promoted to SVP, Digital Media & Business Development in September 2008 and now heads-up the US Digital Department. Previously he was the Director New Media & Business Development, ZDFE for one of the biggest European TV Networks (ZDF, annual sales US$ 1,6 billion) and managed the production, co-production and distribution of content across multiple platforms. Prior to that Joerg worked for two other big Media Networks: the German Kirch Group (annual sales at that time US$ 1,8 billion) and CNN International. At CNN International Joerg was part of a small team that established the brand new German office where he handled the strategic planning and organization of all sales and marketing activities. At KirchSport he distributed sports TV and media rights into over 30 countries including USA, Canada, UK and Brazil.









Rebecca Baldwin, General Manager, Zap2it.com: As General Manager for Zap2it.com, the leading entertainment web site produced by Tribune Media Services (TMS), Rebecca Baldwin oversees all site operations as well as strategic planning and product development activities. With extensive experience in Internet publishing at TMS and Tribune Interactive combined with a background in entertainment journalism from various Tribune newspapers, she brings both technical and editorial expertise to the role. Baldwin is responsible for maximizing the Zap2it audience comprised of influential and engaged entertainment consumers; growing page views and impressions delivered by the Zap2it National site and extensive network of Affiliate sites; developing effective environments and innovative advertising/sponsorship opportunities for entertainment and non-endemic marketers; and producing a best-in-class online TV, Movie and Celebrity service offering superior editorial content and local listings functionality. Before being elevated to GM, she held the role of Editorial Director for Zap2it.com during which time she sharpened the site's focus on TV and oversaw key search engine optimization activities. In her previous position as Director/Product Development at Tribune Interactive (TI) from 2000 - 2006, she was responsible for leading the company's development of new online products, and for managing TI's database marketing initiatives, market research activities and metrics analysis. In 1997, Baldwin led the launch of Metromix.com, TI's award-winning entertainment web site in Chicago. Prior to that, she held the position of Market Segment Manager for entertainment at The Chicago Tribune, heading up one of the company's first cross-functional teams focusing on increasing market share and revenue in the entertainment category. Baldwin joined Tribune Company in 1984 as a copy editor at The Orlando Sentinel. She served in various positions there and was Arts & Entertainment Editor when she left in 1993 to join The Chicago Tribune. At the Tribune, she served as Arts & Entertainment Editor from 1993 to 1996. The Style section editorship was added to her duties in 1994. A native of North Carolina, Baldwin holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management at Northwestern University; a master’s degree in Journalism from the University of Florida; and a bachelor’s degree in Journalism from the University of Southern Mississippi.

Chad Bennett, Vice President, Development, Production, Integration, International and Ancillary, Reveille: Chad Bennett is Vice President, Development, Production, Integration, International and Ancillary for Reveille. He oversees brand development, merchandising and licensing as well as generating sponsorship and cross promotions for Reveille’s reality shows, responsible for managing all advertiser, agency and network relationships. Bennett also handles production for unscripted series and serves as the creative and production point person for broadcasters producing and airing the programs in international markets. Bennett manages THE BIGGEST LOSER’s an eight-figure, multi-platform health and lifestyle brand with its vibrant online subscription site, New York Times best-selling book series, #1-selling fitness DVDs, magazines, mobile applications, meal program, equipment, protein supplements and countless other products. The Biggest Loser consumer products program has generated over $50 million in spending with presence at more than 25,000 major retailers to date and was recognized as a top brand of the year in Advertising Age’s 2008 Marketing 50. Since joining Reveille in 2004, Bennett has worked on shows including THE BIGGEST LOSER, SHEAR GENIUS, TABATHA’S SALON TAKEOVER, AMERICAN GLADIATORS and NASHVILLE STAR and with blue-chip marketers, including General Mills, Subway, Rodale, Wrigley, Kraft, 24-Hour Fitness and SC Johnson. Prior to Reveille, Bennett worked at Moxie Pictures and as a production associate on CNN’s Larry King Live. He graduated from Furman University with a degree in communications studies.

Roy J. Bank, President, Television, Merv Griffin Entertainment: As President of Television of Merv Griffin Entertainment, one of the industries most respected and historically rich production companies, Roy Bank is leading a resurgence of the late Merv Griffin’s brand. A seasoned entertainment industry veteran, Bank has seen his creativity and leadership flourish while working with such well-known companies as Mark Burnett Productions, Reveille Productions and alongside TV icon Woody Frasier. Some of his notable successes are Martha, Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?; (on which Bank served as both the Creator and Executive Producer); and The Apprentice. His expertise on both the business and creative sides make Bank the perfect leader to take Merv Griffin Entertainment to the next level. In 2005 Bank took the role as Head of Development, Production and Corporate Operations for Mark Burnett Productions (MBP), where he quickly began work on The Apprentice and Rockstar: INXS. While holding that position, the company experienced record growth with the launch of new prime-time shows, daytime programming and the expansion into on-line content. In addition to the continued success of its prime-time programming strategies, MBP’s 2005-2006 saw the premiere of Martha, the new Martha Stewart daytime program which was picked up for a 4th season, and Gold Rush on AOL, the largest internet event initiative to date. It was also in 2006 that Bank was named to The Hollywood Reporter’s “Next Generation, Hollywood’s Top 35 Executives 35 and Under.” In 2007, Bank orchestrated a major shift in the type of programming that MBP is known for with the introduction of two new prime-time network game shows. First, in early 2007, Bank served as Creator and Executive Producer of Are You Smarter Than a 5th Grader?, which premiered on FOX as the most watched game show premiere in television history as well as being one of the most syndicated programs internationally. Later in the year, Bank again created and Executive Produced a new game show, Amnesia, starring Dennis Miller for NBC. Before joining MBP, Bank worked in development at Reveille Productions, which was founded by the current Co-Chairman of NBC, Ben Silverman. It was there that he teamed with MBP to produce The Restaurant, the first fully ad-supplied network television show in 30 years. A graduate of University of Pennsylvania’s Wharton School of Business, Bank began his career in the finance industry and gained notoriety in the field with being one of the founders of the first internet bank in the United States. From there he changed career paths and took his business acumen to the entertainment industry, starting his career producing for television icon Woody Fraser which proved to be the beginning of a very successful career in entertainment.

Tyler Goldman, CEO, BUZZMEDIA: Tyler Goldman brings a wealth of experience launching and heading up innovative technology companies to BUZZMEDIA. Prior to joining the company, Goldman served as acting President of Feedster, a leading RSS Search Engine. From 2002 to 2005 Goldman was Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development at Movielink, a joint venture among Warner Bros. Studios, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment and MGM, for the digital distribution of video content. In this role, he was responsible for guiding the corporate growth of Movielink, including all of its strategic partnerships. Under his leadership, Movielink became the leading Internet provider of film content, with distribution partners that include Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, AT&T and AOL. In 1998, Goldman founded Broadband Sports, Inc. (BSS), a pioneering internet publisher and syndicator of sports content, which was funded by leading venture capital, technology and media companies, including DirecTV and Clear Channel Communications. As CEO and President, Goldman built a team of 300 and was responsible for the company's $18 million in annual sales and was instrumental in developing partnerships with a network of syndicators across satellite, cable and Internet platforms, including DirecTV, Fox Sports, Yahoo!, ESPN, AOL and eBay. Prior to BBS, Tyler was one of five members of Steinberg & Moorad, the country's premier sports and technology law firm. He was also an attorney at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, where he focused on corporate matters for venture capital firms and high-tech companies. Goldman holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University, where he received the Dean's Award for finishing first in his class, a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law, and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. Goldman currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.

Peter Levin is the co-founder of GeekChicDaily. GeekChicDaily is a daily free email newsletter and website dedicated to popular culture. Levin is also the principal of GYL, LLC, a technology development and investment portfolio focused on digital media companies and video game platforms. Prior to GYL, Levin served as President and Co-Founder of Bellrock Media, Inc., a mobile and broadband entertainment company creating and distributing premium content for mobile and broadband platforms throughout North America and Japan. Levin began his career at Creative Artists Agency (CAA), working in the Corporate Advisory Group with a client list including Matsushita Electric Industry Company, Sony, Nike, The Coca-Cola Company, and Credit Lyonnais. In 1996, Levin joined The Walt Disney Company in the Corporate and Strategic Planning groups and later joined Disney Online as a senior producer. Leaving Disney in 1998, Levin became managing director of Lynx Technologies. Lynx’s investments included Applied Semantics (sold to Google 4/03), Gamespy Industries (sold to IGN 12/03), Ask.com (sold to IAC 3/05) and Atom Entertainment (sold to Viacom 8/06). Levin serves on the Board of Directors of Sulake, Inc. (Habbo), Double Fusion, Power Challenge, Mind Control and the Arena Football League. He is also on the steering committee of The East/West Sports Council and the Center for International Sport Business Advisory Board at the Western New England College. Levin is founder and co-owner of the 2006 World Champion Chicago Rush of the Arena Football League and a managing partner in Palisades Baseball, which owns and operates the West Virginia Power Minor League Baseball franchise. He is also a minority partner in and strategic advisor to Strikeforce, a mixed martial arts promotional entity.

Peter Kafka is the senior editor for All Things Digital, covering media and technology. He joined the site in October 2008. Since June 2007, Mr. Kafka was managing editor of Silicon Alley Insider in New York, where he was the site's first hire and focused on enterprise and beat reporting as well as breaking news. Previously, Mr. Kafka spent 10 years as a reporter and editor at Forbes and Forbes.com covering media and technology. There he launched two tech columns and represented Forbes on industry panels and TV appearances for CNN, BBC and CNBC. Mr. Kafka was a staff reporter with City Business in Minneapolis from 1995-97. Earlier he was a stringer with the Milwaukee Journal and the Milwaukee Sentinel in Madison, Wis. He holds a bachelor of arts from the University of Wisconsin and resides in Brooklyn, New York.
