Dimitry Ioffe, CEO, The Visionaire Group: Dimitry successfully oversaw the merger of the three Visionaire Group divisions and helped build the combined company into a digital agency that consistently pushes the boundaries of online marketing. In addition to his operational duties Dimitry is also responsible for building and growing strategic partner relationships, sales, high level presentations and driving innovations across all divisions. Prior to the formation of The Visionaire Group, Mr. Ioffe was founder and president of Media Banners, which garnered success through the design and production of award-winning online advertising campaigns. His vision has led such ground breaking campaigns as X2: X-Men United, The Bourne Ultimatum and Knocked Up. Dimitry blazed a trail of innovation over the last seven years in the industry that includes the development of the In Banner Website, Video Channel Banner and Progressive Flash Banners. Earlier in his career as a musician, he performed on Ed McMahons Star Search, played bass guitar in the rock band 10 Speed, which was signed by A&M Records and toured internationally for over five years. Even then, Dimitry spearheaded innovation in the music industry by creating the first ever digital street team, which included a database of over 10,000 fans. He also co-produced A&M Records first interactive CD-ROM. Dimitry was born in Moscow, Russia and grew up in Canada. At age 17, he moved to Los Angeles, where he currently resides.
Michael Bellavia, President, Animax Entertainment: President. Since Animax was founded, Michael has helped shape the company into a leader in convergent media. An Emmy-winning producer, Michael has produced or executive produced all of Animax's TV shows, DVDs, websites, virtual worlds, games, mobile apps, and a range of other entertainment based social media. Michael's background prior to Animax includes being a Lead Strategist at Concrete Media, a boutique interactive agency to working in business development and marketing at several entertainment studios including Sony. Michael has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Engineering from The University of Michigan. He is on the Board of Delegates of the New Media Council of the Producers Guild of America, a mentor for AFI's Digital Content Lab, and has spoken at Ad-Tech, OMMA, NAB, Virtual Worlds Summit, the UK's e-com Law, and KidScreen. A veteran of entertainment and technology, Michael comes to ANIMAX from Palomar Pictures, an advertising production services company, where he worked in business development. Prior to Palomar, Michael was a marketing and operations consultant leading new and traditional media engagements with clients including Miramax, New Line, Artisan, AMC Networks, A&E Networks, Nickelodeon, Columbia House, and Elektra. Michael was also a Lead Strategist with Concrete Media, an interactive services firm consulting to Fortune 100 companies, including Bechtel and McKesson. Michael has an MBA from Columbia Business School and a BS in Engineering from The University of Michigan, Ann Arbor.
Rhodes Mason, VP of Business Development, Internet Video Archive: Rhodes Mason is Vice President, Business Development, for Internet Video Archive, the entertainment industrys leading distributor of online previews for movies, TV, games, and music videos. Mason oversees all of IVAs new client acquisition as well as supervising all client retention programs. He has been with IVA for over three years, initially as a sales representative, and most recently as Director of Business Development. His background is in sales and marketing with previous stints at major ad agencies. He also has experience in the music industry, having booked clubs before going on to work at several record labels. He was the founder and President of Nuclear Blast Records. Mason is a Philadelphia native, with a BA in Communications from Temple University.
Warren Tomlin, President, Fuel Industries: As Fuel Industries President, Warren Tomlin provides the solid strategy and creative direction necessary to keep Fuel on the cutting edge of digital entertainment. Bringing over a decade of business and marketing experience to his role, Warren is responsible for the creative, operations and client satisfaction for Fuels Ottawa, Denver and L.A. offices, and is responsible for ensuring that Fuel continues to push creative boundaries and innovate in both its client-driven content and its licensed properties. Warrens extensive prior experience includes Chief Creative Officer for Fuel, where Warren has been instrumental in developing digital campaigns and marketing programs for industry giants such as McDonalds, HBO, Kraft and EA. Prior to joining Fuel, Warren led eBusiness Strategy and Product Development for Canada Post Corporation, a C$5.5-billion Crown Corporation. In that role, Warren defined and led many of Canada Posts innovations including the strategic definition and delivery of canadapost.ca to become the number-one directory website in Canada. An innovative and creative web strategist, he has intimate knowledge of interactive marketing topics including web strategy, social media and mobile marketing. With an infectious energy and passion for fostering innovation within the marketing community, Warren is an accomplished presenter and speaks on a variety of new media marketing topics. Most recently, he has represented Fuel and spoken at IN09 Toronto, Digital Hollywood 2009, and co-presented a keynote on the future of mobile gaming and advertising at the Intel Developers Forum. Mr. Tomlin holds a Masters of Business Administration from Queens University at Kingston.
Mark A. Vega, Of Counsel, Luce Forward: Mark Vega acts as a trusted legal and strategic business advisor to a diverse client base. His practice includes entertainment, marketing & advertising, new media, intellectual property and action sports transactions. He is often responsible for forging innovative deal structures between brand owners, content creators and distribution platforms which ultimately form the basis for new business models. Mark is also a co-founder of Los Angeles based Omelet, a version 2.0 advertising and marketing agency servicing the entertainment and new media sectors. Entertainment: Mark helps clients navigate the full range of legal and business issues associated with creative projects and new ventures. Clients include traditional entertainment production and marketing financiers, producers, narrative and documentary filmmakers and distribution companies. Projects range from creation and maintenance of entertainment production and distribution funds, to negotiation of agreements for the acquisition of literary properties, to the provision of film production services, to deals involving music, book and periodical publishing, talent, games, toys and other merchandise. Mark also counsels entertainment clients on generating revenue by viewing themselves as brands and assists non-entertainment clients with their specialized entertainment needs. New Media: Mark counsels clients about business opportunities, strategic partnerships and collaboration agreements, as well as online content distribution across new entertainment technology platforms, including video games. Mark was at the center of the dot-com-motion between 1996 and 2000 representing a variety of technology consumers and vendors. Among his conquests was the creation of the contractual infrastructure for the first and often copied online film contest -- Hypnotics famed Million Dollar Film Festival as well as a 26-item menu of online software services available to realtor members of Homestore.com.
Itzik Cohen is the Founder and CEO of ClipSync. Based in Silicon Valley, California, ClipSync was co-founded by former WebEx veteran Itzik Cohen to research, create, and implement a Social TV platform that will trigger the re-emergence of TV as a shared experience. ClipSync's ongoing mission is to cultivate and promote innovative and fun ways to bring TV viewers together to interact with each other and engage with the content theyre viewing online. ClipSync is a private company led by founders Itzik Cohen & Sam Baron, and is backed by Draper Fisher Jurvetson, KPG Ventures, Geneva Ventures, and other prominent Silicon Valley investors. Prior to founding ClipSync, Mr. Cohen was centrally involved with funding and IPO at WebEx Communications, the Web Meeting Applications Company Acquired by Cisco Systems (NASDAQ: CSCO). Prior to WebEx, Mr. Cohen was Director of Business Development at NetManage Inc., where he led the Advanced Technology team focusing on collaborative technologies. As a professional basketball player in Europe, Mr. Cohen played for Maccabi Tel Aviv, a 4 time EuroLeague champions. A native of Israel, Mr. Cohen also served in the Israeli Air Force.
Howie Kleinberg, Senior Vice President, Electric Artists: Beginning his career in music more than 20 years ago, working closely with the likes of Hootie & The Blowfish, Blues Traveler, Joan Osborne, The H.O.R.D.E. Festival and other leading acts, Howie Kleinberg learned one of the most valuable lessons of his career - community is everything. Today, this lesson has translated to his role as a digital innovator and senior vice president for Electric Artists (www.electricartists.com), one of today's leading digital agency. Kleinberg joined Electric Artists in October 2000 and for the past nine years has played an integral role in the strategic planning, business development, client services and overall marketing surrounding the company. Kleinberg has helped Electric Artists maintain consecutive growth throughout its 11 year history and worked closely with CEO and founder Marc Schiller to drive overall company direction. Kleinberg was responsible for guiding the firm from its initial base in the music business into a company that now has a diverse foundation of clients throughout the media and entertainment sector, effectively helping some of the industries' biggest brands to innovate and utilize online components to drive the bottom line. Additionally, Kleinberg is tasked with sustaining key relationships with some of the company's longest running clients, including USA Network, A&E Network, History, WWE and Food Network.
