John Bryan, VP/Head of Business Development, Stumbleupon: John is responsible for StumbleUpon's business development & partnership activities. A native of the UK, he has spent his entire career focusing on the entertainment & digital media industries and is fascinated by the way they have merged together. An early pioneer in interactive television, John's most recent work experiences have covered the distribution of content across emerging P2P networks and the exciting explosion in personalized search and content recommendation technologies.

Jeff Yasuda is the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Blip.fm (http://blip.fm). Launched in July 2008, Blip.fm is the only real-time social media DJ service available for music enthusiasts. Blip.fm community members actively engage with their favorite titles by recommending them via “blips” of streaming music with friends across Blip.fm, Twitter, Facebook, FriendFeed and other leading social communities. Blip.fm also integrates one-click access to purchasing available songs, merchandise and concert tickets related to each blipped title to offer a more immersive relationship with the artists. Before becoming an entrepreneur, Jeff was the Managing Director and Chief Financial Officer of Silicon Valley VC firm Redwood Ventures, where he held board directorships and managed investments in their technology portfolio. Previous to that Prior he Jeff worked in investment banking at Lehman Brothers, where he was involved with IPO’s for tech companies and Arthur Andersen, where he focused on strategic consulting, mergers and acquisitions, and financial valuation. Jeff is a co-founding Director of the Board of Little Kids Rock, a non-profit established to teach contemporary music to children in public schools and considers himself to be a bona fide hack guitarist – skills he puts to work in two bands. He earned a BA from Dartmouth College, an MBA from New York University Stern School of Business and is a CPA. .

David Kruis, CEO, Metranome: David Kruis has over 10 years of experience in the wireless and mobile applications industry. David is currently CEO of Metranome, a mobile software company that is taking a fresh and innovative approach to mobile video. Recognized by Backbone Magazine as one of the top 25 ‘Up and Coming’ tech companies in Canada, Metranome is working with content producers and leading brands throughout North America and Europe, helping them capitalize on the growing mobile video market. Utilizing its mobile video technology, Metranome helps media companies distribute and monetize their content across multiple smartphone platforms. Before co-founding Metranome, David was Entrepreneur-In-Residence at Tech Capital Partners, an early stage Venture Capital firm based out of Waterloo, Ontario. Previously, David was Director of Retail Product Planning at Research in Motion, where he created the BlackBerry consumer email service, providing best in class mobile email to millions of global users. In this role he was responsible for the development and commercialization of the BlackBerry Internet Service (BIS) including Email, Instant Messaging, Internet Browsing and other consumer oriented mobile applications. During his tenure at RIM he defined and brought to market the BlackBerry solution for ISPs and mobile operators, driving the expansion of BlackBerry into the consumer and global market.

Elaine B. Coleman, Ph.D., Vice President of Strategy & Analysis: Elaine Coleman is a research executive who has directed quantitative and qualitative research on consumer behavior for over 15 years. She has worked in academia, new media, technology think tanks, and product and web design consultancies. Her specialties include market research, brand advertising, interactive media and product design research in software and web development. Most recently, Coleman was Executive Director of Research at MarketCast in Los Angeles, heading up their advertising testing and custom research for entertainment clients. Elaine currently leads the mobile research practice at Interpret.



Alberto Montesi, Chief Executive Officer, Flycell: Alberto Montesi founded Flycell in 2004 with a simple vision: create a service that lets anyone easily find and download the digital entertainment content that can transform any mobile phone into a highly-personalized lifestyle device. With thousands of new users daily and the company earning millions in dollars in sales, the CEO of Flycell is expanding his vision to establish Flycell as the premier worldwide mobile and online entertainment destination. To execute this vision, Alberto is leading his team of nearly 100 people around the world to create a service that is responsive to the consumer’s desires and needs, while staying at the forefront of technology innovations and trends in digital entertainment. Alberto’s career began in Rome where as a development consultant he assisted Italian businesses to expand into other European markets. In 2001, he joined Acotel Group, the Italian-based company which provides wireless services and applications, security equipment and network infrastructure. Due to his successful strategic planning and execution, Acotel become one of Europe’s most successful wireless services companies, and Alberto was encouraged to pursue his dream to start a new business. In November 2004 Alberto’s dream became a reality when he was appointed CEO of Flycell, Inc, a wholly-owned subsidiary of Acotel. Alberto remains active in the mobile marketing community in Italy, and is dedicated to continuing its advancement. You can find Alberto in attendance at many of the mobile industry’s conferences globally. If not there, Flycell’s skipper may be behind the wheel sailing around the islands in the Mediterranean Sea.




Neil Goldberg, SVP Sales & Corporate Development, SayNow: Neil has over 20 years experience in the entertainment and technology industries. Prior to joining SayNow, Neil was COO at Akimbo, where provided fiscal, strategic and operational leadership. Before Akimbo, Neil was President of On Demand Media Group, a licensing, programming, marketing, and operational consultancy connecting content owners with the most technically advanced distribution platforms around the world. Previously, Neil ran entertainment programming for both DIVA and TVN Entertainment where he created and launched the first subscription VOD packages in the U.S., including HBO and Showtime on Demand. Neil started his career at Warner Bros., where he served as Director of Worldwide Acquisitions. In addition to his business experience, Neil has brings a wealth of experience to the creative process, having served as a writer and producer of film and television properties for studios and networks. Neil is a frequent guest speaker at industry events including Digital Hollywood, CTAM, Reed MIDEM, iHollywood, NCTA, and the Broadband Services Forum. He is often quoted in the entertainment and media industry trades as an expert on broadband/internet delivered video and the future of television.
