Lauren Bigelow, Chief Operating Officer, WeeWorld Inc., has extensive experience pioneering interactive media companies that push online content, self-expression and marketing to the next level. From mobile and Web-based models, to virtual worlds and social networking communities, Lauren has a proven track record in emerging technology and currently leads WeeWorlds North American growth strategy, as well as product management and marketing worldwide. Lauren has held executive positions at search portals (Lycos/AltaVista) and emerging technology companies such as Mobot (mobile picture recognition) and SkyGo (mobile advertising, now part of Enpocket/Nokia). Honored as one of the Top 25 Most Wired Women in Boston, Lauren also regularly provides insight at industry events including Digital Hollywood, SXSW, OMMA, Virtual Worlds Conference and Web 2.0.
Amra Tareen, CEO, allvoices: Prior to allvoices, Amra was a partner at Sevin Rosen Funds. She was at Sevin Rosen from 2000-2006 to focus on investment opportunities in communications infrastructure and next generation carriers. Prior to joining Sevin Rosen, Amra was a product marketing director at Ascend Communications. She was instrumental in growing the DSL business. She was also responsible for product positioning, competitive analysis and outbound marketing for the remote access business. Earlier she worked as the product manager for Ascend's SS7 gateway. Before Ascend, Amra worked at Lucent Technologies in sales and business development positions. She was a sales manager responsible for selling Lucent VoIP and data solutions to carrier customers. Amra began her career in Telecom working as an engineer and a C programmer for Telstra Australia. Amra has an MBA from Harvard University and a Bachelors of Electrical Engineering and Computer Science from University of New South Wales, Australia. Amra grew up in Pakistan and Australia and moved to the USA for her MBA. Amra is married and is a mother of two young boys.
Judy Shapiro, Senior VP, Sales & Marketing, Paltalk: Judy Shapiro comes to Paltalk with deep marketing and sales experience in technology, including spending the last three years as VP of Corporate Marketing for Comodo, an Internet security company. Prior to her tenure with Comodo, Ms. Shapiro held senior-level marketing positions with Computer Associates, Lucent Technologies, Procter & Gamble, Bell Labs and AT&T, where she led key customer acquisition, retention and upsell programs. In addition, Ms. Shapiro was responsible for shaping the strategic efforts of new product Bell Labs technologies within communications, VoIP and networking spaces. Ms. Shapiro holds various degrees from the City University of NY (with honors) in Marketing, Advertising and History. Chris Adams, CEO and President, View2gether: Chris Adams is an internationally recognized new media pioneer, entertainment industry executive and social entrepreneur with nearly twenty years of experience in creating partnerships, programming and relationships between and to the benefit of media, entertainment and online brands. As a media strategist, Chris works with clients to create and execute on initiatives that have deep impact and measurable outcomes. To achieve greatest possible success, Chris focuses on the intersection of media and audience - helping to bring brand visibility to consumers, reach the greatest audience possible and create multi-platform programs that engage and inspire individuals. Clients range from Facebook.com, for which he helped to create and Produced Facebook Diaries, the first-ever hybrid user-generated video/reality TV show distributed on Facebook.com, Ziddio.com, Comcast VOD and the IFC Channel, to HBO to Comcast Cable and Interactive, to Glam.com, the number one site for women in the world, to View2gethe.comr, a social viewing platform where he is CEO and President. Prior to launching his own company, Chris co-founded Participant Productions in 2004 with Jeff Skoll, eBays first President. Participants vision is to create entertainment that inspires audiences to make social change. In this capacity, Chris developed and executed on the business plan and managed the company overall. Participants first slate of movies -- Syriana, starring George Clooney and Matt Damon; North Country, starring Charlize Theron; Good Night and Good Luck, starring David Strathairn and George Clooney, and the documentary Murderball were nominated for an unprecedented 11 Academy Awards. Chris is also proud to have identified and helped develop former Vice President Al Gores Oscar-winning documentary, An Inconvenient Truth that, along with Gores work, participated in his being awarded the Nobel Peace Prize. In addition to the above-mentioned films, Chris developed and Executive Produced Participants first feature: American Gun starring Marcia Gay-Harden, Forrest Whittaker, Donald Sutherland, Linda Cardelini and Tony Goldwyn. In addition to his work in media, Chris provides his clients with years of experience as a nationally lauded filmmaker, marketer, writer and business/strategic development executive. Straight out of film school at the age of 25, Chris wrote, produced and raised money for the short film, The Middle Passage, which went onto win 9 Best Picture Awards at various film festivals around the country and was in competition for the 1995 Academy Award nomination. As a writer, Chris has been published in The Washington Post, The Denver Post, Triathlete Magazine, SPORT Magazine and wrote on Columbia TriStars hour-drama The Net (distributed by USA Network). He leveraged this experience into a robust consulting career performing business development and marketing services for Amazon.com, Lycos.com, Pop.com and other online companies in the late 1990s. He went on from there to help start wireless application development company, Xpherix that sold to Remoba in 2005. Chris serves on the Board of Directors for The Young Storytellers Foundation, which is dedicated to developing literacy, self-expression and self-esteem through the art of storytelling. Born and raised in Pennsylvania, Chris graduated from the University of Denver with a double major in English literature and mass communications. He received his MA from USCs School of Film and TV and his MFA/PhD from USCs School of Professional Writing where he pursued his degrees concurrently. Chris lives in Los Angeles with his wife Sharon and their son, Cooper and is an avid surfer.
Marissa Gluck, Founder and Managing Partner, Radar Research: Marissa Gluck is a writer, speaker and consultant covering the marketing and media industries. Named one of the ten "Thought Leaders of 2000" by Hub Magazine, Gluck has often been quoted in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age and Business Week. Additionally, she has appeared on CNBC, CBS Marketwatch, CNNfn, and NPR. Gluck has spoken at major industry conferences in the United States and Europe including AAAAANA e-business Conference and Trade Show, AD:TECH, and JupiterCannes Lions Global Advertising Forum. She has also addressed several university audiences and professional organizations, including USC's Annenberg School of Communication, NYU's Stern School of Business, and the IAB. Gluck was formerly a senior analyst at Jupiter Research, where she advised clients including Interpublic, Doubleclick, CBS, AOL Time Warner, and WPP on online advertising and marketing. Prior to joining Jupiter, Gluck was the research and emerging technologies specialist at i-traffic, providing strategic analysis and oversight of partnerships for clients such as Eddie Bauer, CDnow and Disney. Before that, she worked in account management at the advertising firm Ammirati Puris Lintas (now Lowe). Gluck earned her bachelors from Binghamton University and two masters degrees in global media and communication from the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California
Stephanie Piche, Co-Founder, Executive Producer, MomTV: As the co-founder, Executive Producer of the MomTV online network and community, Stephanie relies on resources both on and offline to help her manage the development of content, programming, talent recruitment, community building, and partnerships. An original "blue suit mom", she has over 20 years sales and marketing experience in start-up technology in traditional and new media, CPG and Fortune 500 clients. After spending several years in the newspaper industry, she spent eight years working in Silicon Valley with several start-up technology companies, leading teams to develop retail and network infrastructure technology (SaaS) platforms while building brand experiences that provided quantifiable results to the bottom line. During her career, she has led over 30 product launches with world-wide responsibility for sales, marketing and support. On the Internet since 1994, she has adapted new tools and technologies to stay on Internet time including creating communities and building connections with Twitter and new and social media tools. Stephanie also volunteers as the PR/Marketing Exec for a start-up, non-profit group called Green Wish, and has developed the grassroots go-to-market plan and strategy using her knowledge of technology, marketing, social media and Web 2.0 to help them build presence while working side-by-side with green eco-activist and actor, Ed Begley Jr and founder, actor, Raphael Sbarge who also works with MomTV producing several shows. In addition to being an avid sailor, she thrives on learning new technologies and how they can help make life more engaging. Stephanie has received the Presidents Club award for sales, Under the Radar Audience Choice Award, Top 50 Tweeples 2009, Mom's Choice Award 2009, founder/president of a NY NAFE chapter, founder/president itSMF Portland chapter, past industry speaker: WITI, Silicon Valley Marketing Group, Int'l Newspaper conferences, as well as contributor to MediaPost online and other industry related publications.
Rony Zarom, Founder and CEO of Watchitoo: Rony Zarom is the founder and CEO of Watchitoo, the first online social collaboration platform that allows users to share the same synchronized content (videos, photos, presentations, etc.) while instant messaging and video chatting in real time. Watchitoo is a part of Decima Ventures; a venture capital company that invests in U.S. based technology companies with a research and development center in Israel. Prior to starting Watchitoo, Rony Zarom founded and owned Exalink, a company in the field of mobile internet. Exalink developed state of the art mobile Internet routers for use by wireless operators. After a successful launch of the product in the year 2001, the company was acquired by Comverse Inc. for the amount $550 million. Rony Zarom holds a bachelor and masters degree from the City University of New York.
