Bant Breen, Worldwide Director, Digital Solutions, Initiative: As Worldwide Director, Digital Solutions, Bant plays a key role in driving Initiative's strategic agenda in areas such as asset alignment, communications innovation, technology and acquisitions. Before joining Interpublic, Bant was the Founder and President of Bant Breen LLC, a strategic marketing and communications consultancy affiliated with Dentsu Inc. Prior to founding his own company, he was with Leo Burnett Worldwide for five years in roles that included Regional Managing Director of iLeo (now Arc Worldwide), as well as Digital and Integrated Communications Director for Leo Burnett EMEA. Bant started his career as a WPP Fellow. Bant lives in New York City with his wife, Carmen, and two boys, Alejandro and Nico.
Jason Cieslak, Managing Director, Interactive Media, Siegel+Gale: As Managing Director, Jason is responsible for Siegel+Gales operations on the West Coast. Jason oversees key West Coast based clients which include Activision, Microsoft, Sony PlayStation, and Yahoo! to name a few. Jason has helped Sony PlayStation launch the PlayStation3, The PlayStation Network and a variety of its specific product offerings including Home, Qore and Pulse. Hes worked with Activision on Guitar Hero and he helped Microsoft relaunch Windows in 2008. In his previous role of Executive Director, Interactive Media, Jason oversaw Siegel+Gale's Interactive Media practice. The practice provides Strategy + Concept Development, Information Architecture + Process Simplification, User Experience Design + Development, Content Strategy + Development, and Online Brand Training for a global client base. Key clients he led included Capital Research, The College Board, Experian, Lexus, Jiffy Lube, Nestle, and Qtel. Jason is a frequent speaker and panelist at industry and trade conferences and has been featured at American Marketing Association, The Conference Board, CTI Expo, Internet World, KMWorld, PCIA GlobalXchange and Southern California Software Association. Prior to joining Siegel+Gale, Jason was the marketing director for Lee & Associates, San Diego, where he established a full-service marketing department that developed regional advertising, marketing collateral, standardized proposal systems, and electronic presentations for the company's regional offices. He also led the company's corporate initiative to design and implement a database management system that seamlessly integrated a variety of databases among the company's offices. Jason attended the University of California, Riverside, where he received a BS in Business Administration.
Dan Palmer, Vice President of Client Relations, Atigeo: Daniel has 13 years experience as an institutional trader, specializing in trading equities for institutions, hedge funds and pension plans. Prior to joining Atigeo, he held the position of Vice President of Institutional Trading at Sanders Morris Harris. Prior to that, he was Vice President of Institutional Trading at Sutro & Company. Daniel's successful experience in the service-oriented finance industry enables him to provide exceptional service to Atigeo partners and customers. Daniel is involved with numerous charities in southern California. He is a volunteer of Childrens Hospital Los Angeles and a member of the hospital's "Literally Healing" reading program for terminally ill children. In addition, he supports the Jewish Big Brothers, the California Organization of Police and Sheriff, Los Angeles County Museum of Art, the United Jewish Fund, and University of Southern California. Daniel holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of Southern California.
Mark J. Kapczynski, Chief Operating Officer, Kontrol Media: Mark Kapczynski has a successful track record as a serial entrepreneur, chief executive and media industry expert. His current venture, Kontrol Media Corp., is an idea incubator for startups and senior professionals in the media and technology markets including Web 2.0, mobile, and television. Prior to that, he was founder and CEO of MESoft, a media and entertainment software company, for which Kapczynski raised two rounds of seed and venture capital funding exceeding $8MM. Under his leadership, the company also grew its distribution to a global level and partnered with leading IT companies, such as IBM, Sun and AMD, and media companies that include Avid, Ascent Media and Sony. Additionally, he received a patent for a digital media workflow process. From 1995 to 2002, Kapczynski worked at Microsoft Corporation as their Director of Worldwide Media & Entertainment Solutions Group. During that time, he worked with numerous digital media and internet start-ups such as Homestore (now Move.com), Movielink, and MeTV. Mark Kapczynski got his first taste at being an entrepreneur in 1993 when he founded Digital Genesis-a pioneer in the internet/e-commerce space-which was sold to publicly-traded Netgateway, Inc. (NGWY, now IIG) three years later. Mr. Kapczynski graduated from UCLA film school and continues to be active in multiple industry associations that span media, mobile telecom, technology, and Internet Web 2.0. In his free time, Mr. Kapczynski enjoys car racing and playing the drums.
Mike Dougherty, co-founder and CEO, Jelli. Prior to Jelli, Mike was the vice president of business development at Tellme, a division of Microsoft and a leader in speech applications (acquired by Microsoft in 2007). Tellme initially backed by Kleiner Perkins Caufield & Byers, Benchmark, Barksdale Group and AT&T, runs the world's largest hosted VXML speech platform and pioneered the idea of unlocking the power of everyday devices and the web using speech. Prior to that, Mike was senior vice president of business & corporate development at Loudeye, an early leader in digital and mobile music services (acquired by Nokia in 2006).
