Bob O’Donnell, Program VP, Clients and Displays, IDC: Bob O'Donnell, IDC’s Program VP, Clients and Displays, has a lengthy, multi-faceted career in the computer and high-tech industry. O’Donnell is responsible for tracking the latest and most important hardware developments that impact PCs, notebooks, thin clients and other computing devices, as well as the ODM production of notebooks. He also leads IDC’s display research program, where he tracks both the sales and technology trends affecting the worldwide market for computer televisions, monitors, projectors and related technologies, as well as the market for large LCD panels and ODM production of monitors and TVs. In addition, O’Donnell is the author of "Personal Computer Secrets," originally published by IDG Books, a 936-page reference volume on all aspects of computer technology and usage. For 10 _ years he also hosted “O’Donnell on Technology,” which was selected as the Best Computer Audio program in the country—either over the air or on the web—in the 15th Annual Computer Press Awards competition. The program was the #1-rated computer call-in talk show in Silicon Valley. O’Donnell is also a highly regarded speaker, having given talks or participated in panels at numerous trade shows and conferences around the world. He's widely quoted in the major press, including the Wall Street Journal, New York Times, USA Today, Forbes, BusinessWeek and many more. He’s also the founder and webmaster for the popular EverythingTechnology (www.everythingtechnology.com) and EverythingComputers (www.everythingcomputers.com) web sites. O'Donnell began his work in the high-tech industry at Music Technology magazine, and then moved on to the editor role at Electronic Musician magazine. During his tenure there, the magazine was awarded a prestigious Western Publisher's Association Maggie Award for Best Special Interest publication. After several years in the music industry, O'Donnell became Executive Editor/Reviews at MacWeek, where he helped create MacWeek's lab facilities and was involved in the development of the MacBench benchmark. O'Donnell also served as Features Editor at PC/Computing magazine and as Executive Editor of InfoWorld Electric/InfoWorld.com, the website for InfoWorld magazine. For 3 1/2 years, O'Donnell wrote InfoWorld Electric’s popular "Plugged In" weekly column, which was featured numerous times at CNN.com. His writing has appeared in magazines all over the world. In television, O’Donnell served as the computer expert for Knowledge TV’s “Meeting the Challenge” program. He's also been a featured reporter on the nationally syndicated "Silicon Valley Business" program and has been a frequent guest or guest host on several other shows, including TechTV’s “Silicon Spin” and “Call for Help” and BayTV’s “All Consuming.” O'Donnell is a graduate of the University of Notre Dame, with a B.A. in the Program of Liberal Studies, an interdisciplinary humanities program based on the Great Books..

Ben Ling is the Director of Partnerships, Platform and Content at YouTube, where he leads the efforts on premium content (shows, movies, music, sports, news, etc), as well as the mobile and TV experiences. Prior to YouTube, he was the Director of Platform at Facebook where he oversaw the Facebook developer community and cross-functional efforts. Before Facebook, Ben was the GM of eCommerce and Shopping at Google, where he founded Google Checkout and led the Product Search efforts.















Shashi Seth, Chief Revenue Officer, Cooliris: Shashi Seth was the Head of Monetization at YouTube. His team was responsible for building advertising products, exploring all monetization opportunities, and defining business models that would make YouTube the next large revenue source for Google. Previously Shashi was the Product Lead for Web Search at Google. His team the entire search results page, and ventured into Social Search and Search Personalization. Shashi himself launched Google Custom Search Engine, and Google Notebook. At eBay he was responsible for building out their APIs & Platform, and turning it into one of the most successful developer programs of all times. Today roughly 40% of eBay's volume flows through these APIs. He has also worked for the Gap, where he launched their online stores including gap.com, bananarepublic.com, and oldnavy.com. In between Shashi co-founded two startups — one focused on e-commerce consulting, and the other a mobile platform company. He holds a Bachelors Degree in Mathematics & Statistics and a Masters Degree in Computer Science. Shashi started his career at NASA Langley Research Center, where he built flight simulators and futuristic avionics equipment. While there he initiated and managed the worlds first inflight cockpit weather display program. He holds over 2 dozen patents, and stays involved with the startup community by sitting on the board of advisers of several companies, and advising VC's on investment opportunities.

Claire Alexander, Vice President, Digital Strategy & Operations of Discovery Communications, Inc.: As Vice President, Digital Strategy & Operations of Discovery Communications, Inc. Claire Alexander drives the development and implementation of long-term digital strategies and potential business opportunities for Discovery’s media and entertainment family of brands. Claire moved into this corporate role from Planet Green, where she was a key member of the team that launched the first-ever 24-hour eco-lifestyle television network. As Vice President of Operations and Interactive Media, Claire was responsible for the network’s business operations, as well as business development, non-profit partnerships, and the strategy and execution of Planet Green’s multi-platform extensions, which include green market leaders TreeHugger.com and Planet Green.com. Prior to Planet Green, Claire led the acquisition of TreeHugger.com and served as Vice President, Digital Strategy and Implementation in the Office of the Founder and Chairman. In that role she drove the creation of Discovery's social media strategy and developed company-wide new media governance procedures.
