Personalized TV will forever change the consumer entertainment landscape it will open the door to a consumer with more and greater control over his or her environment in touch with family members, enjoying HD programming, accessing and saving information and ultimately creating it and sharing it with others. Ben Huang, Director of Product Management and Marketing, TV Business, Microsoft Corporation: Ben Huang oversees product management, planning, and product marketing for Microsoft Mediaroom, the award-winning Internet Protocol Television (IPTV) and multimedia software platform. Huang joined Microsoft in 2003, where he led various initiatives related to new business opportunities, emerging markets, pricing, and corporate transactions, among other areas. Prior to joining Microsoft TV, Mr. Huang has worked in various strategic, financial, and marketing leadership roles with a particular focus in the media and telecom industries. He holds MBA and JD degrees from the Kellogg School of Management and Northwestern Law School, and a bachelors degree from UCLA.
Michele McGarry, Vice President of Business Development, ThinkAnalytics: Michele McGarry is Vice President of Business Development for ThinkAnalytics. Michele leads direct sales, partner and OEM development efforts for ThinkAnalytics in North America. Michele has spent over 15 years working with emerging technologies and markets. Much of her career has been in corporate computer security helping global companies protect their systems and information, including 5 years with Trident Data Systems (now General Dynamics). During her time in London, England in the late 1990s, she established a European presence and distribution channel for Worldtalk Corporation, a then leader in email security and encryption. She also dedicated several years developing new advertising revenue streams for new media with Quokka Sports and at eZula (now Kontera), creating a platform for contextual advertising. Michele holds a Bachelor of Science from Santa Clara University and an MBA from Loyola Marymount University, where her work in quality management across cultures was published through the International Academy of Business Disciplines.

A Senior Digital Media & Corporate Communications, Industry Analyst/Consultant for Numerous Corporations that included CNNfn, Lucent Technologies, The Cimarron Group, iCON Broadcasting Network, Synergy Sports Technologys and OrionsWave Inc., Inc. as well as 10+ continuous years in various areas and LOB's within Verizon Communications/Bell Atlantic, and with 15+ year's of overall industry related experience he maintains his Industry Media, Press, Analyst accreditation/status and has covered Hundreds of Major Conferences as well as speaks on panel sessions for such groups as "CES, NAB, NXTcomm & Digital Hollywood, Etc." He currently operates out of Las Vegas, NV. To his professional credits; Frank has respectively worked closely within the broadcasting, cable, video, satellite, streaming media, telecommunications, mobile/wireless, media, and entertainment related industrys on various corporate/business levels and major projects/deals with such companys as Broadcast.com, Yahoo Music/Ent, iBEAM Broadcasting, (James Camerons) Lightstorm Ent, (Schwarzeneggers) Oak Productions, New Line Cinema, Fox News Network, ESPN 1&2, Comcast Comm, Bloomberg TV, Planet Hollywood, Clear Channel Ent, Metropolitan Hybrid Ent. etc. Frank is a US Military VET and served with the "First Ever" US Navy combined Marine/Navy (FA-18) VFA-125 Fighter Jet Squadron in CA. He holds a B.S. eqv in Engineering: Electronics, Civil, Structural & Architectural Design from the National Institute for Certification of Engineering Technologies at Alexandria Virginia.
Chris Boyer, Assistant Vice President Internet & Technology Policy, AT&T Services Inc.: Boyer is a technical and policy expert responsible for developing and coordinating public policy across AT&T's emerging services and technologies with a particular focus on emerging and disruptive Internet Protocol based services. Boyer recently moved from the companys former headquarters in San Antonio to the Bay Area to work with the technology community in Silicon Valley. Prior to this role Mr. Boyer was responsible for public policy and serving as an expert on AT&Ts Lightspeed and U-verse initiatives the company's nationwide efforts to enable the delivery of advanced, Internet Protocol (IP)-based television, faster high-speed Internet access and home phone service to customers. Mr. Boyer joined AT&T in 1993 and has held various positions in AT&Ts corporate public policy, network planning and engineering, network regulatory, wholesale marketing and network services departments including extensive experience working on AT&T's broadband, VoIP and IPTV initiatives. Mr. Boyer holds a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration degree from the University of Kansas in Lawrence, Kansas and an MBA from the University of Houston in Houston, TX. He and his wife Marnie have a son, Matthew, and a daughter, Sydney, and reside in San Ramon, CA.
Mark Evensen, Vice President of Product Development, Entone: Mark is a true pioneer in personal television services, having focused on the area for more than fifteen years. Before co- founding Entone, Mark was General Manager of Technology Development at Cable & Wireless Hongkong Telecom and lead architect for their interactive television and VOD service. Under Mark's direction, C&W HKT deployed the world's first commercial VOD service of scale. Prior to that he consulted on issues of network design and software engineering to several multinational communications providers, including Bell Atlantic Video Services. Mark was also Director of Interactive Applications Development at TV Answer, one of the world's first providers of personal television services. Mark holds Bachelor of Science degrees in Mathematics and Computer Science from the University of Colorado.
Mary Francia, CEO & Managing Director, SeroWires: A global telecommunications executive, Mary Francia is CEO and Managing Director at Serowires, a Consulting firm for Marketing & Technology, supporting clients build marketing and product strategy for next generation services and devices. Ms. Francia last assignment was Vice President Sales & Marketing Home Networks at Royal Philips Electronics where she joined to create a Telecom channel for sales of consumer devices in broadband and wireless entertainment applications. Ms Francia is now retained as Executive Consultant for their Innovation and Emerging Businesses. At Philips Consumer Electronics, she managed Telecom Strategic Alliances and with her direction, Philips launched products and services in access (DSL), communications (VoIP), and entertainment (Music & IPTV) with Telecom Operators over broadband networks as well as initiatives in consumer healthcare and R&D.
Jonathan Hurd, Director, Altman Vilandrie & Company: Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathans primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathans experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathans extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
