The era of advertising and Mobile has arrived. The transformation of mobile, from cell phone to pervasive social experience is now complete. Mobile is all its forms, from multimedia communications device to primary information provider, which started with teenagers is now being embraced by the grandparents. Mobile is the personal experience of choice for everyone and the only inhibitor to change is the rate of innovation from within industry itself. In this session, we will hear from companies that are at the forefront of mobile change, from within the network, the device, content or application.

Daniel Hodges, Head of Global Sales, Mobile & Emerging Products, Associated Press: Prior to AP, he lead the largest global sales force dedicated to mobile advertising and marketing in the world at Nokia Interactive. In 2008, his team won the MMA Award for Innovation with mobile advertising for the work they did with Unilever's Seda Teens. He has worked for over twenty year's at several of America's premiere media companies and advertising agencies. He has held leadership positions, Discovery Communications, Inc. (DCI), WebMD/Medscape Inc., MediaVest, BBDO and Foote Cone & Belding. He has been an early innovator with the Internet in 1995, Interactive Advertising in 1996, VOD in 1998 and Mobile in 2006. While at Discovery, Hodges was part of an executive sales team rated the number one sales force in the U.S. media industry six years in a row. His responsibilities at DCI included developing sales strategies, website sales, marketing and client presentations, and new technologies. Mr. Hodges participated in the first cable interactive TV test, the strategic planning for "Your Choice TV", and he is a frequent speaker both internationally and domestically on Internet, mobile and interactive TV panels. While at DMB&B, Mr. Hodges managed the largest agency TV buying assignment of record, the $900 million Procter & Gamble account. This assignment included managing P&G's worldwide program assets. Mr. Hodges has served as a Board Member, advisor and/or consultant to companies in the Internet, mobile and television industries.

Erin E. Wilson,
Solution Sales Executive, Microsoft Mobile Advertising: As a Mobile Solution Specialist with Microsoft Advertising, Erin works with a nationwide team of mobile experts to create integrated, cross-platform solutions for Microsoft’s esteemed clients. The Mobile Specialist team leverages both the Microsoft Mobile Media properties as well as the Verizon Wireless on-deck inventory, of which Microsoft exclusively represents, to create unique, targeted and highly scalable campaigns. Prior to Microsoft, Erin was most recently Director, Mobile Advertising at WeatherBug, the exclusive on-deck weather provider to Verizon Wireless. Erin honed her Search skills with Reprise Media (IPG), where she created solutions for agencies and brands within the search marketing, search engine optimization and social media marketing fields. Ms. Wilson began her career in mobile in 2005 with Counts Media, an arts & entertainment start up focused on unique SMS overlays for Broadway shows. Erin independently orchestrated Intel’s “Multiply Yourself” SMS/MMS campaign which was featured on the Reuters and Nasdaq billboards in Times Square during the 2006 holiday season. Ms. Wilson began her career with four years at Interep National Radio Sales, which provides her with a unique perspective on the importance of on and off-line media integration. Erin is an active resident of New York City, giving back through various civic and industry organizations and is a proud graduate of Central Missouri State University.

Jeremy Wright,
Global Director of Mobile Brand Strategy with Nokia Interactive Advertising Jeremy Wright currently serves as global director, mobile brand strategy, for Nokia Interactive Advertising. He brings 20 years of experience in publishing, broadcasting, advertising and the Web to the mobile medium. Before joining Nokia in 2007, Wright was co-founder and chief marketing officer of Enpocket, a mobile advertising technology and services company. At Enpocket, Wright also served two years as chairman of the UK Mobile Marketing Association (MMA), where he led development of the first comprehensive code of conduct for the mobile marketing industry. Previously, Wright was marketing director and subsequently managing director of Engage Europe, an online media sales, analytics and technology company.













Chip Canter,
Vice President, Wireless Platform Development, NBC Universal Digital Distribution: Chip Canter, Vice President of Wireless Platform Development manages product and program strategy for NBC Universal (NBCU) across all mobile platforms. He is responsible for further advancing NBCU’s wireless content and product strategy. He reports directly to Salil Dalvi, Senior Vice President, Mobile Platform Development, NBC Universal Digital Distribution. Most recently, Canter was instrumental in the success of NBC Universal’s 2008 Beijing Olympic Games, the most watched event in the U.S. television history. The NBC Olympics Mobile Web site was the most successful wireless sports event to date for audience reach and usage. As Director of Wireless Platform Development, Canter played a key role in launching 12 mobile video channels and over 60 mobile Web sites covering NBC, NBC News, NBC Sports, USA Network, SCIFI Channel, Bravo, Telemundo, Mun2, CNBC, MSNBC, and “Access Hollywood.” In addition, Canter has contributed to helping NBCU channels and Web sites attract incremental revenue thru "360" Advertising + Content deals including a deal with Sprint to offer full episodes of “Heroes” through the NBC.com mobile Web site. Prior to joining NBCU, Canter served as Director of Business Development for Entriq, Inc., which develops and manages Pay Media infrastructure for broadband, Internet TV and mobile. Additionally, He worked with two venture back companies in the mobile space as Director of Business Development for Livemind and as Director of Sales for Bitfone Corporation, which was recently acquired by Hewlett-Packard. Canter started his career working on wireless data and entertainment for mobile carriers. In 1997, he began as Manager of Product Development for 360 Communications and continued his work in Product Development as Manager for Cellular One in 1999. Canter earned his MBA from New York University in 2004, and is an alumnus of Northwestern University, where he holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in International Economics and a Masters in Telecommunications. He resides in New York City.

Alex Barkaloff,
Executive Producer, Digital Media, LIONSGATE: As Executive Producer for Digital Media at Lionsgate, Alex Barkaloff is responsible for developing high-impact mobile entertainment, applications, games and communities from the company’s 12,000 film library and hit TV shows as Weeds, Mad Men, Crash and Fear Itself. Additionally, he oversees original digital productions, especially those that can be cross-developed for filmed entertainment and TV. Prior to Lionsgate, Alex created media-based mobile applications for musical artists, graphic novels and dramatic, horror and comedy projects with such companies as UCP Morgen/qPass, Nellymoser, and mobile operators including T-Mobile, Telefonica, Belgacom, Era Poland and handset makers including Nokia. An entrepreneur and venture capitalist, Alex founded GlobalNet Ventures in San Francisco in 1998 and ArtistOne, an online digital music distributor. His enterprise experience ranges from Oracle to PSION (UK) to the Jet Propulsion Laboratory/NASA.








Nash Parker, Director, North American Strategy, Alcatel-Lucent: Nash Parker brings more than 20 years of telecommunications experience to his position as Director of the North American Strategy Team for Alcatel-Lucent. In this role, Mr. Parker is the lead strategist and primary liaison within for region’s content, advertising, and gaming industry activity. Previously, Mr. Parker served as Director of Strategic Alliances for Alcatel-Lucent, where he lead the company’s North American Strategic Solutions Group in support of the group’s IPTV and Mobile TV initiatives. Prior to joining Alcatel-Lucent, Mr. Parker served as Manager of Business Development for Sony Computer Entertainment America, and as Regional Manager for the General Motors Corporation. Nash Parker holds a bachelor of arts degree from Kalamazoo College, and a master in business administration degree from Wayne State University.
