Chris Monteleone, Vice President, Interactive, MSG Interactive (a division of Madison Square Garden, Inc.) Chris Monteleone is currently Vice President of Business Operations and Revenue for MSG Interactive a division of Madison Square Garden, Inc. In his role, Chris is responsible for marketing, distribution, ad sales operations and revenue of all MSG online properties as well as VOD and wireless platforms. The MSGi network of websites includes: MSG.com, theGarden.com, Radiocity.com, NYRangers.com, NYKnicks.com, WAMUatMSG.com and BeaconTheatrenyc.com, among other microsites. His daily tasks cover an array of issues and opportunities facing the Digital Media marketplace including entertainment and sports copyrights, ad sales and ad operations, partnership development, technology integration, research and oversight of revenue growth. Prior to MSGi Chris was Director of Digital Development for Rainbow Media, a subsidiary of Cablevision Systems Corporation (NYSE:CVC) located in Manhattan. In that role he was charged with developing business opportunities and partnerships with interactive media companies in the mobile, internet and emerging platform sectors of the business. Rainbow Media consists of 19 nationally distributed networks (AMC, IFC, WE, VOOM), which comprise over 250MM homes in aggregate. Over his career, Chris has held positions at Cablevision, Comcast Networks, The Game Show Network and Rainbow Media. He has also consulted VC and PE firms, as well as start-ups on numerous digital businesses. Chris is a graduate of Fairfield University in Connecticut and resides with his family in Huntington, NY.



Michael Taylor,
Vice President, Business Development, ICTV: Michael joined ICTV in 2006 in conjunction with the company’s merger with Switched Media, a developer of solutions for mass customization of live video streams. Michael co-founded and served as vice president of business development for Switched Media after having spent five years as head of both the nCUBE and later the BigBand Networks business development units. With BigBand, he developed the initial business plans for the company’s Switched Digital Broadcast and Digital Simulcast solutions. Previously, Michael served as a product and business development consultant to companies in the cable, entertainment and telecommunications sectors and was involved in the creation of three companies in the media and entertainment space: IPC Interactive PTE Ltd., GeoTel, Inc. and Venue Media. Michael also held various marketing and management positions at Telic Corporation (now CSC Partners). Michael received his B.A. in English and Economics from Georgia State University. Michael enjoys open-water swimming in San Francisco Bay, cross-country backpacking, ocean kayaking, and reading Southern and Beat Literature.

Mark Gray,
co-founder, Unknown Vector Inc.: Mark Gray is a co-founder of Unknown Vector Inc., the creators of uvLayer. Mark is a serial entrepreneur who has founded and led two different companies from 2004 to 2008, with co-founder Michael Hoydich: IndustryNext, a technology and design services firm, whose clients include eBay, Sony, NBA, AOL, and NBC Universal; and Incognito Digital, an interactive marketing agency whose clients include OKI, Bloomberg, FOX, and Haier. Prior to founding IndustryNext and Incognito Digital, Mark was the EVP of Sales and Marketing, an executive officer role at Viewpoint Corporation (now Enliven Marketing), a small publicly traded marketing and technology company, where he negotiated a deal to add interactive video to Viewpoint’s platform, created a go-to-market strategy around online advertising, and helped acquire over 100 new clients in less than a year. In the interactive industry since 1994, Mark has worked for companies such as: J. Walter Thompson; privately held Xcom, the first acquisition of USWeb that later went public; and privately held Viant, backed by Kleiner Perkins, TCV, and Mohr Davidow and which later went public. Mark led the design and development of some of the first commercial websites (optimized for the Mosaic browser) for clients such as Bell Atlantic, Rolling Stone, and New York Magazine. uvLayer redefines online video. With uvLayer users can easily manipulate their media, collect and publish to the web, and share videos with friends across their social networks, all via an intuitive drag and drop interface.

Christopher Grosso, Vice President, Strategy & Business Development, NBC Universal Digital Media: Chris is focused on digital advertising strategy, investments, operating deals and new business launches. He covers marketer partnerships, ad networks, advance TV and emerging platform advertising. Previous to NBC Universal, Chris was an Associated Partner at McKinsey and Company, serving several top media companies and retailers on digital strategy, M&A, ad sales, business building and DTC marketing. As one of the first members of McKinsey's internet practice, Chris helped set up several McKinsey digital practice areas, including e-business building, e-tail, digital marketing and digital ad sales. Chris earned a B.S. in Computer Science at Yale, where he served as Managing Editor of the Yale Daily News and helped launch the paper's first website. He Also received an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School, with high distinction. He lives in New York City with his wife and daughter.

Craig Engler, Senior Vice President, SCIFI.COM & SCI FI Magazine: Craig E. Engler was named Senior Vice President, SCIFI.COM and SCI FI Magazine in February 2006. Mr. Engler is responsible for the digital growth and expansion of SCI FI, including the continued development of original online content, and the launch of a new broadband network. Under Mr. Engler's leadership, SCI FI Channel has been on the forefront of digital technology with innovations like the critically acclaimed 'Battlestar Galactica' podcast and videoblog by the show's executive producers and the expansion of the daily entertainment news service Sci Fi Wire. Engler began working with SCI FI in 1997 as a consultant and joined them full time in 1999 after the Channel acquired his online publication business. The award-winning SCIFI.COM is both the official site of the SCI FI Channel and also the largest general interest sci-fi website in the world. It has won numerous awards including the "people's choice" Webby, the Flash Forward Award and the Nebula Award (the first time it was awarded for an electronically published story). Recently, the site won a prestigious Hugo Award, an annual recognition handed out by sci-fi fans at the World Science Fiction Convention. Besides offering in-depth info about all of SCI FI's original programming, the site also provides content about the entire sci-fi genre including reviews of the latest books and films; daily news; an events calendar with hundreds of listings; and more. Prior to joining SCIFI.COM full-time in 1999, Mr. Engler founded Science Fiction Weekly, the first Internet magazine devoted to science fiction. While serving as its publisher & editor, the weekly was named best sci-fi 'zine on the Internet by Yahoo! Internet Life. It was sold to the SCI FI Channel in 1999. From 1994 to 1997 Mr. Engler worked for the Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers (IEEE), where his last position was Electronic Publishing Editor for IEEE Spectrum, their flagship magazine. Prior to his stint with IEEE, he held several positions in journalism. As a freelance writer, Mr. Engler's credits range from 'The New York Times' to 'Wired.' In addition, for four years he served as an "expert editor" for Amazon.com, and he also consulted for Yahoo! Internet Life. He is a regular speaker at events like Digital Hollywood, Blog-On and the Digital Media Summit, and has participated in the AFI's Enhanced Television program. Mr. Engler graduated with a dual B.A. degree in Magazine Journalism and English from the S.I. Newhouse School at Syracuse University.

Christos Lagomichos is Executive Vice President and General Manager of the Home business unit within NXP, the independent semiconductor company founded by Philips. In this role, Christos is a member of the NXP executive management team reporting to Frans van Houten. Christos is ultimately responsible for leading a business unit that creates system solutions and AV components for digital consumer electronics applications, including TV, set-top boxes, PC TV and security technology. Christos joined NXP in 2007 from STMicroelectronics, where he held the role of Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the company’s Home Entertainment & Displays Group. Responsible for designing, developing and marketing products and system solutions for digital consumer applications such as set-top boxes, DVD recorders, digital TV and home audio, Christos’ leadership saw ST expand its number-one position in the overall digital set-top box market. Christos started his career as a Design Engineer with Siemens Neuperlach in 1983 – a role he held until 1985, when he joined STMicroelectronics. Initially working as an engineer, Christos became a manager of ST’s Munich Design Centre for digital applications in 1988, before a series of promotions saw him take on senior management roles in Italy, the United States and then Switzerland. In 2004, he was made Group Vice President, General Manager of ST’s Home Entertainment Group, before being appointed to the position of Corporate Vice President and General Manager of the Home Entertainment & Displays Group in January of 2007. Christos speaks four languages and has a degree in Electronic Engineering from the Technical University of Munich. Married with two children, he lives in Eindhoven, The Netherlands

Ted Cohen, Managing Partner, TAG Strategic, Moderator: Industry luminary and former, Vice President, Digital Development & Distribution, EMI Music: As Vice President of Digital Development & Distribution for EMI Music, Ted Cohen oversaw worldwide digital business development for this "big five" record company, which includes labels such as Capitol, Virgin, Angel/Blue Note, Parlophone and Chrysalis. Under Cohen’s guidance, EMI has led the industry with its initiatives in new technologies and business models such as digital downloads, online music subscriptions, custom compilations, wireless services, high-definition audio and Internet radio. In addition to seeking out, evaluating and executing business opportunities for the company, Cohen serves as both a strategist and key decision-maker for EMI’s global new media and anti-piracy efforts. He has worked to establish company-wide policies, which have allowed EMI’s artists and labels a substantial advantage in the digital music arena. Cohen served previously as the Executive Vice President of Digital Music Network Inc., where he co-founded and served as Chairman of the Webnoize ’98 & ’99 conferences. He currently chairs MidemNet, an international music/technology conference convened in Cannes each year. Cohen also held senior management positions at both Warner Bros. Records and Philips Media. Additionally, Cohen lead two highly successful new media consulting operations, DMN Consulting and Consulting Adults, attracting clients such as Amazon.com, Microsoft, Universal Studios New Media, DreamWorks Records, Liquid Audio, Wherehouse Records/Checkout.com and several other entertainment, computer and new media organizations. A 25-year industry veteran, Cohen serves on the NARAS (Grammy) Los Angeles chapter Board of Governors, the Board of Directors for the Neil Bogart Memorial Fund, Co-chairs the new media arm of the T.J. Martell Foundation, and lends his time and talents to the Grammy In The Schools Program.
