Sean Bunner, Operating Vice President of Advanced Services, HSN Home Shopping Network: Sean Bunner serves as the Operating Vice President of Advanced Services for HSN. In this role he is responsible for the business development, operations and marketing of HSNs Interactive Media applications including: Shop by Remote (iTV), Video on Demand, Broadband and Mobile services. Bunner actively supports key industry initiatives including the CableLabs eTV Working Group, CTAM onDemand Consortium - Advanced Technology Sub-committee, and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2007 Interactive Television Emmy Blue Ribbon Panel. Before joining HSN, Mr. Bunner worked in investment banking for 5 years at Tunstall Consulting where he was the lead Director for technology company financings and strategic plans, including many telecommunications related deals, such as SMATV operators and cable related technology providers. Prior to this, he worked at Honeywell for 7 years in various Corporate Finance roles. Bunner is a CPA and graduate of the University of South Florida where he received a Masters in Business Administration and B.S. Accounting. He resides in Flordia with his wife Ellen and their three children.
Jeff Miller, President and CEO, ICTV: Jeff was named President and CEO of ICT V in 2005, after having spent the previous five years with the company as Senior Vice President of Engineering. Prior to ICTV, Jeff co-founded and served as president of RISQ Modular Systems, an embedded computer manufacturer that achieved five 5 years of profitable growth as a key supplier to Lucent, Cisco, Watchguard, Terayon and other customers. Following the acquisition of RISQ in 1996 by SMART Modular Technologies (NASDAQ:SMOD), Jeff served as Vice President of Consulting Engineering and Applications. Jeff began his career in 1983 at Delco research labs as a processor design engineer. He holds a BS in electrical engineering from the University of California, Santa Barbara and an MS in systems management from the University of Southern California. He enjoys flying and horseback riding with his family in his spare time.
Dmitri Ponomarev, Vice President, On Demand: Dmitri Ponomarev serves as Vice President, On Demand, for TV Guide Network. In this role, Ponomarev oversees development, programming and production for TV Guide Broadband, an advertising-supported video service widely available on the Internet, and TV Guide On Demand, a digital cable service available in 30 million homes nationwide. He is also responsible for programming content for TV Guides mobile video service. Under Ponomarevs leadership, TV Guide Broadband, On Demand and Mobile deliver short-form entertainment programming that features premier content from TV Guide Network from celebrity interviews to behind-the-scenes footage of todays hottest TV shows to original entertainment programming. Ponomarev led the creation of TV Guide Broadband in July 2006 and in just 18 months, the service retained distribution on TV Guide Online, AOL Video, YouTube, Hulu, Veoh, Comcast The Fan, thenewsroom.com, Zoogatv and Next TV, among others. In December 2007, TV Guide Broadbands online plays grew to 3.3 million. Ponomarev has also been instrumental in securing TV Guide On Demands distribution with Cablevision, Cox, Charter, Mediacom, and Verizon. Prior to his appointment at TV Guide Network in 2006, Ponomarev served as General Manager of Interactive Platforms for TV Guide Network, the interactive horseracing network owned by Gemstar-TV Guide International. During his tenure, he was responsible for the development, day-to-day operations and marketing of TV Guides wagering platforms, including its web site, automated telephone betting system and iTV wagering application available on DISH Network. Ponomarevs role within Gemstar-TV Guide International began in 2002. He was then appointed Director of Business Development and Strategic Planning. During this period, he was responsible for business and operational planning, and strategic development for the companys cable and satellite businesses. Ponomarev holds a B.A. in Economics from UCLA and an M.B.A. with distinction from Harvard Business School.
Fred McIntyre, Senior Vice President, AOL: Fred McIntyre is Senior Vice President o f AOL Video, where he directs the team that leads and executes AOL's comprehensive strategy for online video, WinAmp and AOL Radio. McIntyre joined AOL in 1999 and has worked in a variety of capacities, including most recently Vice President of Programming and Media Networks for AOL for Broadband. He also spent several years as Vice President of Business Development for AOL Entertainment where his responsibilities included mapping and implementing the strategy that established AOL as a premier online destination and industry partner for Games, Movies, Music, Radio, Television, and Ticketing. Prior to AOL, McIntyre held senior management positions at Spinner.com, VIBE Magazine and SPIN Magazine.
Buno Pati, Co-Founder and Chief Executive Officer, Building B: Dr. Pati is a co-founder and chief executive officer of Building-B. Dr. Pati is an experienced and successful entrepreneur who has an established track record of building early-stage companies into successful businesses. Prior to co-founding Building-B, Dr. Pati was an angel investor and board member and on occasion, interim chief executive officer of early-stage venture-funded technology companies in a range of markets from semiconductors to video compression and multimedia services. Dr. Pati founded Numerical Technologies and served as its president and chief executive officer. He led Numerical from the initial development phases, through its successful initial public offering to its acquisition by Synopsys. Before co-founding Numerical, Dr. Pati served as assistant professor of electrical engineering and computer science at Harvard University and a post-doctoral research associate at Stanford University. Dr. Pati serves on the Board of Directors and is an early investor in several venture-funded technology companies including Xoomsys, Innovative Silicon, Pulsic, and Fliptrack. Dr. Pati also serves on the Board of Visitors of the University of Maryland College of Engineering, the Presidents West Coast Advisory Council, and is a co-chair of the University of Marylands Scholarship Endowment Fund campaign. He serves on the IT Advisory Board of Index Ventures and the Advisory Board of Nexus India Capital. Dr. Pati holds a Ph.D in electrical engineering, with focus on wireless communications and signal processing from the University of Maryland, College Park.
Jodie McAfee, Managing Partner, Boomerang iTV: Jodie is the Managing Partner for Boomerang iTV, an advanced media services firm, where he is responsible for business development, account management, agency, content and platform relations and operations. Prior to founding Boomerang iTV, Jodie was Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Marketing for The Media Group (formerly Turner Media Group), the leading provider of interactive, transactional media on television. McAfee was responsible for corporate strategy, business development and marketing relating to TMGs iTV advertising and programming entities, and spearheaded the development and execution of some of the first iTV advertising campaigns in the U.S., for advertisers such as Mercedes-Benz, Sony Pictures and Hewlett-Packard. McAfees marketing duties extended to TMGs eight, owned-and-operated, targeted transactional TV channels, such as Mens Outdoors & Recreation. Prior to TMG, McAfee served as managing partner at Cayde Broadcast-to-Broadband, where he was responsible for the development and distribution of niche broadband video channels. Previously, McAfee served as vice president of Worldwide Marketing for Crown Media International, parent of The Hallmark Channels international arm, where he was responsible for all affiliate and consumer marketing and public relations initiatives. He has also held positions at Soundbite Communications and Columbia Tri-Star Television.
Bryan Biniak, CEO of Jacked.com: Founder & CEO Bryan Biniak is a seasone d entrepreneur who has held C-level positions at his last four companies, successfully establishing consistent year-over-year revenue growth and/or selling them at a premium. Bryan is founder and CEO of Jacked, Inc. as well as founder and Managing Director of Provenance Ventures. Most recently, Bryan served as SVP and general manager of AG Interactive at American Greetings Corporation (NYSE), overseeing its mobile, instant messaging, email and social communications business units. Bryan has experience launching leading mobile brands including Univision Movil, SI Mobile, Def Jam Mobile and Blue Mountain Mobile, growing the companys mobile business to $18 million in net revenue in less than two years. Prior to AG, Bryan served as COO and EVP of sales and marketing for Vivendi Universal's wireless subsidiary Moviso, building and operating mobile media publishing platforms for Verizon, Cingular, T-Mobile, Nokia, Motorola, Samsung, Match.com, Universal Music Group and Sony Music, among others. Bryan also served as COO of YourMobile and Premium Wireless Services, where he led the companys sale to Vivendi Universal. He founded and served as CEO of China-based MusicZone. He was also a founding member and VP of MIT Media Lab spin-off Harmonix, developer of popular video games Guitar Hero and Rock Band, which was sold to MTV for more than $175 million.
Will Richmond, President, Broadband Directions LLC: Broadband Directions is a marke t intelligence and consulting firm specializing in broadband-delivered video. Broadband Directions market intelligence service, Broadband Video FocusSM examines the broadband video market to provide critical competitive insights and actionable data to support decision-makers in developing their broadband video product strategies and implementation plans. Many of the worlds leading content providers and technology companies subscribe to the service. Since 2003, Will has consulted to many early-stage and established companies in the broadband video industry. Will is an acknowledged thought-leader in the fast-growing broadband video area and also publishes a monthly e-newsletter on broadband topics that is widely read throughout the industry. He is frequently called on by industry executives, venture capitalists, journalists and others to provide his insights. Will has worked in the broadband, cable TV, content, network infrastructure and software industries for over 15 years. Earlier in his career, Will worked at Continental Cablevision (the 3rd largest cable operator) from 1990-1998, initially managing large operations in the Boston area, and then as VP Business Development and part of the founding team of Continental's pioneering broadband internet access service "Highway1". Subsequently he served as VP Business Development for CMGI's iCast and for Narad Networks. Will has a BS from Cornell University and an MBA from Harvard Business School.
