Video on the Internet has finally passed the critical threshold of acceptance by the advertising and marketing communities as a more than viable alternative to traditional media. Internet delivered video has not only entered the advertising space, it has invaded it and in a very short number of years, Internet delivered video will be a dominant entertainment and communications consumer medium. The scary part for traditional media, Internet delivered video may end up on a PC, a mobile device or on a TV and for the advertising and marketing industries, an emerging and maturing delivery system to an ever elusive audience is exactly what they are looking for. Troy Young, CMO, VideoEgg, Inc.: Troy Young began his work in interactive medi a in 1992 when he worked on the launch and management of the first newspaper-owned online service in Canada. Prior to joining VideoEgg, Troy served as EVP, chief experience officer at Organic, one of the worlds leading digital marketing agencies. Troy spent his first three years with the company building the Canada office. Prior to joining Organic, Troy was a co-founder and managing director of Vickers & Benson Direct, Interactive (now Arnold Worldwide). He is a graduate of the Queens University Business School.
Tom Wilde, CEO, EveryZing: Tom Wilde is a widely recognized leader in the fiel d of Internet search and online advertising, and prior to becoming EveryZings CEO has held numerous leadership roles in the field, including SVP/GM of the consumer division at domain portfolio company NameMedia; senior vice president and general manager of MIVA Inc.'s North American division, responsible for both MIVA's U.S. online advertising network, as well as the company's consumer business; and senior operating roles managing Terra Lycos' global search and publishing divisions. Tom has also served on the IAB Search Engine Committee and holds an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
Sanjay Desai, Product Marketing, Brightcove: Sanjay serves as Vice President of Product Marketing at Brightcove. In this role, he leads the product team responsible for Brightcoves core service and spearheads product marketing across the organization. Before joining Brightcove, Sanjay spent several years leading product management/marketing for Tellme Networks consumer business in Mountain View, California. Prior to Tellme, Sanjay served as VP, Strategic Planning at The Walt Disney Company, focused on ABCs broadcast and production businesses. Earlier in his career, Sanjay gained experience within Goldman Sachs technology, media and telecom M&A group and as a strategy consultant for KPMG. He holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford Business School.
James Elden, Vice President, Interactive and Print, Alloy Media + Marketing: As Vice President, Interactive and Print for Alloy Media + Marketing (Nasdaq: ALOY), James Elden guides the strategic direction and development of Alloys interactive network and print marketing vehicles that together reach over 22 Million active young consumers. James began his career with United Airlines in the UK, where he helped to develop and launch Europes first online rewards program, MyPoints Europe.
Brett Wilson, Co-founder and CEO, TUBEMOGUL: Brett is an experienced and succ essful entrepreneur and online/direct marketer. After spending three years as an IT consultant for Accenture, he left to found an ecommerce company - which under his leadership obtained over $69 million in revenue and was successfully acquired after two years. Brett then founded a successful online marketing consulting company. The company manages all aspects of web marketing for clients, including two public companies.
Bill Hildebolt, President ExpoTV: Bill oversees Program Sales, Business Development and Operations. He helped design the companys landmark VideopinionsSM product and has been leading the companys push into content syndication. He also architected the companys local VOD advertising product currently used by leading cable operators. Prior to co-founding Expo in 2004, Bill spent over ten years in finance. Most recently, he was a Principal at General Atlantic Partners, a private equity firm in Greenwich, Connecticut. Bill has also worked in corporate finance at Morgan Stanley and at Wachovia. Until recently, he was a member of the Board of Directors for Intelliseek (the company was sold to Nielsen BuzzMetrics) and is an Advisory Board member of Backchannel Media and Havoc Television. He is also an active member of the Electronic Retailing Association. Bill graduated from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill where he was Student Body President and the Harvard Business School.
Lauren Cole, President, Cole Media: Ms. Cole is President of Cole Media, a company that helps clients set up and launch media-related businesses. Clients include companies launching cable and satellite channels, mobile content services, video-on-demand, and broadband content, both in the U.S. and internationally. Past and present clients of Cole Media include TV Guide, Control Room, Verizon Wireless, TV One (Radio One/Comcast), MediaFLO, Technicolor, Sony Pictures Entertainment, E! Entertainment, GSN, HBO Latin America, and Anthony Robbins Companies. Ms. Cole was previously Chief Operating Officer of PacketVideo Corporation, the first company with technology and applications to stream video over wireless devices. As COO, she oversaw all of the business activities of the company, both domestically and internationally. Prior to joining PacketVideo, Cole spent many years at Sony Pictures Entertainment in the International Television division where she was responsible for launching, making investments in, and supervising Sonys cable channel investments in Europe, Latin America, Asia, and Australia. She also headed up operations for Columbia TriStar International Television. Cole also worked in Warner Bros. Strategic Planning Dept, and at Bain and Company. She has a degree in Applied Mathematics from Harvard College and an M.B.A from the Stanford Graduate School of Business.
