Alex Kazerani, CEO of EdgeCast: Alex is a proven web entrepreneur, having led and sold multiple successful startups. Prior to co-founding EdgeCast, he was a co-founder, chairman and CEO of KnowledgeBase. A hosted enterprise knowledge management company with many fortune 1000 customers. At KnowledgeBase he worked with co-founders James, Phil and Lior, and as CEO was involved in all aspects of the company and responsible for its development. Prior to starting KnowledgeBase, Alex founded HostPro, an industry-leading web hosting and application services provider. In August 1999, Micron Electronics (MUEI) acquired HostPro, and Alex became vice president of operations. In this role, Alex was responsible for developing HostPro's shared, dedicated and managed businesses with 430 employees in sales, marketing, engineering, and product development. Alex was instrumental in helping HostPro grow into one of the largest web hosting companies in the industry, with over 70,000 customers worldwide and operations in Los Angeles, California; Seattle, Washington; Boise, Idaho, and Boca Raton, Florida. With over twelve years of leadership experience in information technology and business operations, Alex has successfully led a number of businesses initiatives that include developing technology solutions and bringing them to market, designing front and back office operations and managing day-to-day business, sales and support operations. Additionally, he has extensive application development, web hosting, and data center build-out and management experience. In addition to his leadership position with EdgeCast, Alex is a partner in several venture capital funds, and a board member of numerous companies including Web.com (NASDAQ: WWWW). Alex earned a B.A. degree in international relations and economics from Tufts University. He currently resides in Los Angeles.

Greg Nakagawa is a 22-year veteran of the high-tech industry and BroadRamp’s President and Chief Executive Officer. Prior to joining BroadRamp, Nakagawa was President and Chief Operating Officer of online comparison shopping leader PriceWatch Corporation, championing several initiatives to move this transaction oriented business into a content-oriented aggregator. Nakagawa has also held many senior executive positions within major Fortune 500 corporations, most recently as President and General Manager of Sharp Electronic Corporation’s US computing and displays business. Prior to Sharp, Nakagawa held several General Management positions in Dell's Product Group organizations, leading the multi-billion dollar Inspiron Line of Business, and founding and leading the beyond-the-box Internet Line of Business, which drove Dell’s digital content and internet access initiatives. Additionally, Greg led the New Product Concepts organization in Dell's research division, Dell Labs, and was also responsible for all Consumer products strategic planning. In his capacities at Sharp and Dell, Nakagawa led digital content initiatives for both companies, forging a strong foundation for his current responsibilities as President and CEO of BroadRamp. Before Dell, Greg was responsible for North America strategic marketing and marketing communications for US Commercial Marketing at Acer-Texas Instruments, and has also held various sales and marketing management positions at IBM. Greg is an honors graduate from the University of California at Berkeley with a BS in Mechanical Engineering, and has attended executive education programs at Harvard Business School, MIT Sloan, and IMD.

Marcus Morton has a proven track record as an active force in music, film, and multi-media. In the mid 1990’s, Marcus served as one of the youngest Vice Presidents of EMI Records. After retiring from the record business in 1997, Mr. Morton immersed himself in the technology and film industries. In 1999 Marcus founded OneNetNow.com, which was successfully sold to EarthLink after the dot-com crash (It was one of the very few Internet successes of that time). He has produced a number of successful movies including the number one film “You Got Served”, which held the record for the largest film opening ever on a Super Bowl Weekend ($16.4 million opening, 2004). Marcus is currently serving his second consecutive term as a member of the California State Film Commission. Initially, having been appointed to the Commission by Governor Davis, Mr. Morton is currently serving under Governor Schwarzenegger. His current company, Network Foundation Technologies has developed a new kind of streaming software for broadcasting both live and pre-recorded audio and video content over the Internet at a much lower price point than traditional content delivery network based solutions. Network Foundation Technologies’ patented Nifty-TV streaming solution is quickly gaining traction in the commercial broadcasting world. Additionally, the company has ongoing funding from the prestigious National Science Foundation. Mr. Morton holds both a BS in Management and an MBA from Louisiana Tech.

Anthony Yi, Vice President Business Development, Narrowstep: Anthony Yi has an extensive background in software and strategic management consulting. As Vice-President Business Development at Narrowstep, Mr. Yi has created the business and corporate development program and is responsible for all major strategic partnerships with the William Morris Agency and Microsoft's Silverlight and Media Center divisions. Additionally, he is responsible for North American sales and related marketing, as well as due diligence with investments, joint ventures and partnerships. Most recently, Mr. Yi has worked on financial and management consulting engagements for some of the largest consumer companies in the world, including a large beverage company based in Atlanta and a Fortune 500 company based in Pittsburgh. Previously, he led business development in North America for global media conglomerates such as Bertelsmann, specifically for their billion dollar Arvato division in areas of television, music and publishing solutions. He started his career in management consulting for Ernst & Young, LLP. Mr. Yi has his Bachelor of Science from Johns Hopkins University and studied at Harvard University and the George Washington University School of Business and Public Policy.



Cathy Brooks, Director, Business Development, Seesmic: Cathy has spent more than two decades working in and around media and communications. It began in 1982 with a job ripping wire copy and to-date encompasses reporting, writing, editing, broadcast management, as well as media training and strategy development. Cathy’s currently leading the charge on business development for Seesmic, the fifth company of French entrepreneur Loic Le Meur. Started in September 2007, Seesmic is platform that enables global conversation using video as the conduit. She began working with Loic in the spring of 2007 the program for his conference, LeWeb. One of the largest and most well-known technology gatherings in Europe, the 2007 edition of LeWeb was the largest yet with almost 2,000 attendees from 40 countries and 110 speakers over the course of two days. Prior to Seesmic, Cathy worked with Guidewire Group – a global analyst firm focused wholly on emerging markets and technologies. During that time, Cathy produced and hosted "I of Innovation" a weekly talk show providing a unique perspective an insight to the processes and people behind the latest technology trends. She also produced two of the firm’s conferences – Innovate!Europe and Leadership Forum. In both cases Cathy was responsible for identifying and booking top speakers as well as moderating and emceeing the events. Cathy also worked at TechTV, running the network’s talent and guest booking departments, and has held several executive positions with PR agencies ranging from business development to account management. She currently lives in San Francisco, CA.
