Track III: The Web, Social Media and Advertising: Transforming and Disassembling the World of Traditional Media and Communications Change and innovation is at the core of our industry. There is no turning back the clock. Traditional media now works with and embraces that change. There is a continual, if uneasy partnership between traditional media and the new technologies, but it continues as a powerful force forward nonetheless. Between the power of the web, social media and new forms of commerce, the entire daily life of the consumer, vis a vis the entertainment, communications and commerce experience is forever altered. The partnership between the traditional media and new media has created a new and interesting era in the relationship between the innovator and the established system one that is open and generally encourages and rewards change.
