Enabling Multiplatform Delivery of Content: Broadband, DTV, IPTV & Mobile - Implications of Expanded Bandwidth and Near to Unlimited Storage
Enabling Multiplatform Content Distribution: When it comes to multiplatform delivery, point technologies and the business impetus exist. But none of it comes together well across the supply chain. Proliferation of access has created scarcity of broadband capacity, and higher cost of broadband and storage. New media, SD and HD are running side-by-side, creating parallel operations costs. From production floor to contracts to carriage partners, monetization and customer focus is becoming a unifying force. The panel will highlight some specific scenarios – the impediments, possible solutions, drivers to overcoming, and use cases/ clever approaches that show promise … for content originators, advertisers, service providers and consumers. We'll look at some of the breakthrough technologies, trials and experiments - in HDTV, broadband, IPTV, and mobile video - paving the way to accelerated revenue in digital content delivery.
