Kelly Dempski, Technology Labs Director for Human Computer Interaction Research , Accenture - For 13 years, Kelly has developed technological innovations at Accenture that aim to simplify the way that users manipulate and share information. His most recent inventions include a system for large scale, interactive advertising. His interactive wall technology is currently being used by many thousands of users in OHare and JFK international airports and 10 Accenture offices, and has been used in many other public venues. Dempski has also written three books on interactive 3D rendering, and holds several patents for collaborative and interactive technologies.
Anthony Bay, Executive Chairman/Co-Founder, MOD Systems: Anthony Bay c o-founded MOD Systems in 2005 and brings more than 25 years of executive expertise, technology management and private-venture investor experience to his current role as the companys executive chairman. Previously, Bay served as the executive chairman of Loudeye Corporation (formerly NASDAQ: LOUD), which was acquired in 2006 by Nokia and now powers Nokias global music service, OVI. Before joining Loudeye, Bay spent six years with Microsoft, serving in various executive capacities, most recently as corporate vice president and general manager of the Digital Media Division, and as a member of Microsoft's executive staff. He was responsible for Window Media, multimedia and digital rights management (DRM) technologies, overseeing a team of 700 and a research and development budget of more than $125M. Previously, Bay served as general manager of Microsoft's Commercial Systems Division where he was responsible for much of the companys Internet services and e-Commerce platform. He also managed the development organization that shipped the original version of MSN with Windows 95. Bay also spent eight years at Apple Computer. Three of those years were spent at Apple's European headquarters in Paris. He served as general manager of Apple's Online Services in Europe, general manager for Enterprise Systems Europe, and product line manager for Apple's Workgroup Systems. Bay sits on the board of CMGI (NASDAQ: CMGI) and chairs its technology committee, which governs its @Ventures VC subsidiary. Bay earned a bachelors degree from the University of California Los Angeles, an MBA from California State University San Jose, and studied at INSEAD in Paris, France, and at Goerg-August Universitaet in Goettingen, Germany.
Dario Santana is CEO and President of NTN Buzztime, Inc., a multipoint social inte ractive entertainment company located in Carlsbad, California and trading in the American Stock Exchange under the symbol NTN. Buzztime has been a leader in interactive television entertainment for over 20 years and distributes its Play Along TV games and technology through numerous platforms including its own Buzztime iTV Network, which is available in more than 4,000 restaurants, sports bars and pubs throughout North America and the United Kingdom - other platforms include cable TV, satellite TV, mobile phones, electronic games and books. Before joining Buzztime, Dario was the President of Tyco Fire and Security's Latin American Division, which offers security and fire protection solutions throughout Latin America under the brand names ADT Home Security, Sensormatic and SimplexGrinnell, employs over 4000 people and invoices approximately $300 million US dollars per year. Prior to this role, Dario was the Vice President of Sourcing for Tyco International where he oversaw the purchase of $15 Billion in products and services; he joined Tyco in October of 2002. Prior to Tyco, Dario was President of Aerocast Inc., a streaming media services company funded by Motorola and Liberty Media and focused on delivering entertainment quality video to the broadband enabled home. Before Aerocast, Dario held a number of roles at Motorola/General Instrument including General Manager of Advanced Network Systems and Vice President of Investor Relations. Dario holds a MBA from the Harvard Business School and an engineering degree from Purdue University.
Scott Richman, SVP/GM, MSG Interactive, (Madison Square Garden): Scott Richman jo ined MSG Media in the newly created role of Senior Vice President and General Manager of MSG Interactive in early 2007. In his position, Richman manages all internet, broadband, VOD and wireless products for Madison Square Garden. MSG Interactive represents a collection of premium entertainment, sports and lifestyle brands including msg.com, thegarden.com, radiocity.com, beacontheatre.com, wamuatmsg.com, nyknicks.com, nyrangers.com, nyliberty.com and associated interactive brand extensions including the MSG Insider email, alert and wireless platform, and GameOn! and The Monitor blogs. Since joining MSG Interactive Richman has overseen several new key initiatives for the group of interactive properties, including the redesign of each of the Madison Square Garden managed venue websites, the launch of online initiatives Knicks on Demand and Rangers on Demand, the establishment of Game On! and The Monitor blogs, and the creation of the MSG Insider internet and wireless program. Before joining MSG Media, Richman was Vice President and General Manager, Programming at America Online (AOL) where he oversaw sales integration, promotion and marketing for AOLs various properties on the AOL service including music/entertainment, news, sports and lifestyle. While at AOL, he was also responsible for the AOL City Guide and AOL Tickets. Prior to joining AOL, he worked at BMG where he was promoted to the position of Vice President of Partnership Marketing. In this role, Scott worked with key artists and advertisers to create integrated marketing campaigns. He started his career as an Account Executive with Shaw & Todd, an advertising and public relations agency. Richman is a graduate of George Washington University. He currently lives in New Jersey with his wife and three sons who are all huge New York Knicks, Rangers and Liberty fans.
Art Matin, President, Chief Executive Officer, TouchTunes: Art Matin, a former g lobal business manager for IBM Corporation and senior executive of several technology companies, has joined digital-jukebox leader TouchTunes Music Corporation as president and chief executive officer. Matin was also named to TouchTunes' board of directors. Matin brings more than two decades of wide-ranging business experience to TouchTunes, with an emphasis on customer-focused sales, marketing, and product development. Prior to joining TouchTunes, Matin was chief executive of Softricity, a venture-backed software company acquired by Microsoft Corp. in 2006. He was executive vice president of worldwide sales for Veritas, a data and storage management company with annual revenues of more than $2 billion and more than 5,000 employees. As president of McAfee, best known for its anti-virus software, he accounted for revenues of $750 million annually and successfully established multiple channel initiatives and partnerships focused on accelerating customer adoption and market share expansion, especially in consumer segments. During his 20 years with IBM, Matin held a variety of management positions, including overseeing sales to large corporate customers in the Asia-Pacific region while based in Tokyo, as well serving as general manager of IBM's industrial sector in the Americas. A native of Albany, N.Y., Matin received a bachelor's degree in Biology from the University of Rochester (1978) and an MBA degree from the University of Chicago (1980).
Troy Carroll, Chief Executive Officer, Intava: Troy Carroll, a veteran software engine er and innovator with a history of identifying market opportunities and forming successful companies to address them, founded Intava in 2000 to serve wireless network operators with sales and support aids. Intava has evolved to become a leading designer of custom screen systems for major retailers nationwide, and Mr. Carroll today oversees 35 employees and key enterprise customer relationships. Intava is Mr. Carroll's latest successful technology venture. He was president and co-founder of Omnibrowse, an Internet portal for mobile devices that was sold to Microsoft and became the basis for MSN Mobile. Earlier he worked for NCR, where he helped pioneer experience designs and payment systems for supermarket checkout devices. Before that he worked for the document management firm PC DOCS. Mr. Carroll has over a decade of experience with retail software systems. He attended Florida State University, majoring in computer science.
Peter Cullen, Executive Vice-President Business Development, Technicolor Network Services: Peter Cullen currently serves as EVP of Business Development for Technicolor Network Services, a world-leading media distribution and network management company which is part of the Services division of Thomson. In this position, Cullen drives strategic partnerships, content acquisition, and key advertising relationships associated with the retail, institutional, cinema networks, and broadcast services components of the Technicolor Network Services business. Technicolor Network Services provides customers with global consultancy and managed services for the preparation, management, and distribution of content. The business unit, which includes the activities of Convergent, PRN Corporation, and Screenvision, supports a wide range of clients around the world, including media companies, content owners, channel operators, and out-of home and corporate media networks. Previously, Cullen was General Manager and Head of Business Development for PRN Corporation (PRN), the nations largest in-store television network, and now a unit of Technicolor Network Services. As GM at PRN for Home Electronic Networks, Cullen was responsible for an achieving an unprecedented annualized revenue growth rate of over 100%. He led the programming, advertising sales and retail relationship management of the networks that consist of over 2,500 stores nationwide. In his new role at Thomson Technicolor, He continues to support the long-term direction and expansion of PRN, and Thomsons investment in Screenvision, the countrys largest in-theater advertising network. Cullen also continues to have direct account responsibility for PRNs stable of third-party content providers (including NBC-Universal, Disney/ABC/ESPN, Fox, and CBS), as well as oversight of PRNs advertising and strategic relationships with designated key accounts (including DirecTV, Comcast, and Texas Instruments). Founded in 1992, and acquired by Thomson in 2005, PRN operates the PRN Network, the largest in-store television network in the United States. Through the PRN Network, the company enables national and local advertisers to target consumers in over 6,500 leading retail stores in all of the 210 media markets designated by AC Nielsen throughout the country. PRN works with retailers and advertisers to create in-store television programming that includes entertainment, news, product information, advertising, and community content. Retailers carrying the PRN Network include Albertsons, Best Buy, Circuit City, Costco, Pathmark Stores, Ralphs, SAMS CLUB, ShopRite, and Wal-Mart Stores. Based on information provided by several third-party research firms and retailers, the PRN Network has a viewership of over 250 million consumers every month in retail stores nationwide. PRNs headquarters are in San Francisco, California. Prior to joining PRN, Cullen was Vice-President and Head of West Coast Business Development for America Online (AOL). Cullens significant accomplishments at AOL included the launch of paid search across the AOL, Netscape, CompuServe, and Time Warner online properties. Cullen began his career at the Walt Disney Company where he was senior vice president of business development at Disney/ABC Cable Networks. During his tenure with Disney, he was responsible for developing new cable network and digital content-based businesses, and providing portfolio management of Disneys stable of partially-owned cable network assets which included Lifetime Television, A&E, and E! Networks. Cullens significant accomplishments at Disney included successful negotiations of affiliate agreements which aided Disney Channels transition from pay to basic cable service; and management of the Disney Home Satellite operation, affiliate marketing department, sales strategy and planning department, and the launch of Toon Disney, SoapNet, and Disney-on-Demand. |
