Advertising is finally discovering and finding its way into the next generation of technology media and entertainment industries. Broadband, IPTV, Cable and interactive TV, mobile and of course in games, ads and branded information are delivered in many forms. The technologies behind ad-insertion, ad serving, on-demand technologies and a full host of back-end management technologies are enabling greater creativity and enhanced options in the relationship between technology and advertising. In this session, we will open an ongoing conversation of how technologies are evolving, where they are heading and how the advertising and branding industries will gain further technology traction.

Sean Bunner, Operating Vice President, Advanced Services, HSN - Sean Bunner s erves as the Operating Vice President of Advanced Services for HSN. In this role he is responsible for the business development, operations and marketing of HSNs Interactive Media applications including: Shop by Remote (iTV), Video on Demand, Broadband and Mobile services. Bunner actively supports key industry initiatives including the CableLabs eTV Working Group, CTAM onDemand Consortium - Advanced Technology Sub-committee, and Academy of Television Arts & Sciences 2007 Interactive Television Emmy Blue Ribbon Panel. Before joining HSN, Mr. Bunner worked in investment banking for 5 years at Tunstall Consulting where he was the lead Director for technology company financings and strategic plans, including many telecommunications related deals, such as SMATV operators and cable related technology providers. Prior to this, he worked at Honeywell for 7 years in various Corporate Finance roles. Bunner is a CPA and graduate of the University of South Florida where he received a Masters in Business Administration and B.S. Accounting. He resides in Flordia with his wife Ellen and their three children.
Matt Story, Director, Play, a division of Denuo - With expertise and perspective from both the client and the agency side, Matt Story brings to bear dual strength in the areas of interactive and videogame advertising, as well as how they can transcend and evolve a client brand.As director, Story oversees the West Coast operation of Play, the premiere gaming division of Publicis Groupes Denuo, where he maintains key publishing and gaming industry contacts for the agency. He and his dedicated team develop unique gaming integration programs on behalf of General Motors (GM), Procter & Gamble (P&G) and Miller, just to name a few. In March 2007, he played an integral role in the 2007 Pontiac Virtual NCAA® Final 4® tournament, powered by videogame College Hoops 2K7. Play concepted and activated this holistic, cross-platform program to reach college basketball fans and provide them with a realistic look at the excitement of mens college basketball.Prior to joining Play, Story was Interactive Marketing Manager across the antiperspirants/deodorants category for P&G, where he worked for four years across a variety of disciplines and roles in the same product category. During his tenure, Story managed the creation of the first P&G blog, which supported the launch of Secret Sparkle Body Spray. He also led innovative development with the Old Spice brands in-game integrations in multiple key videogame titles. Story graduated from Washington University in 2002, where he received two B.S. degrees in Computer Science and Computer Engineering.
Kevin Cohen is senior vice president of strategic planning for Turner Broadcasting S ystem, Inc. (TBS, Inc.). Cohen is responsible for Turners corporate and new technology strategic planning. He is based in Atlanta and reports to Norman Bellingham, senior vice president of strategic planning. Cohen most recently served as senior vice president business development and general manager of interactive and enhanced television, where he was responsible for developing and managing the company's interactive and enhanced television efforts; coordinating all Turner network interactive TV initiatives; partnering with the networks in Turners interactive TV product creation and design; and exploring external partnerships and furthering distribution affiliate relationships. Cohen managed Turners relationships with Wink, AOL TV, Real Networks, Mystro TV, GoldPocket and Visionik, among others, as well as Turners interactive/enhanced TV, broadband and wireless distribution. Cohen also managed Turners VOD business, successfully launching CNN, Cartoon Network, Boomerang, Adult Swim and TCM VOD services. Previously, he served as vice president, business development, new media for Turner International Asia Pacific Ltd., where he managed Turners interactive business development in Asia. He was responsible for developing new interactive properties, including regional/local language versions of CNN Interactive and exploring strategic new media partnerships and equity investments. Cohen also oversaw Turners mobile phone and broadband licensing revenue streams. In addition to interactive responsibilities, Cohen worked on business development functions that included Turners on-air properties. He helped engineer Turners equity investment in the Korean animation channel Tooniverse and served on the Tooniverse board of directors. He also played a key role in planning, implementing and launching Cartoon Network Japan in 1997 and served on the networks management committee. Cohen joined TBS, Inc., in 1996 as director of business development, responsible for identifying new business opportunities and leveraging CNN Interactive content across new distribution platforms. Prior to joining Turner, he served as administrator for the Asia Pacific Policy Center. From 1988 to 1991, Cohen worked with the story departments of 20th Century Fox Films Corp. and MGM/UA and assisted in the development of United Artists films from 1986 to 1988. Cohen holds a bachelor of arts degree in government and legal studies from Bowdoin College and a master of science degree in business administration from the Tuck School of Business at Dartmouth College.
Scott Ferris, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Publisher & Emerging Media, Atlas, a division of aQuantive: Scott Ferris brings more than 20 years of broadband, cable, internet and direct marketing experience to Atlas. As head of the Publisher and Emerging Media divisions, he is responsible for the line of business serving publisher needs for guaranteed and remnant inventory products and services. Additionally, Scott is responsible for incubating new business initiatives focused on the growth of digital cable television, on demand media and emerging technology such as in-stream video, gaming and mobile. For more than two decades, Scott has played a significant role in bringing hybrid fiber-coaxial networks and the triple play concept to market in the broadband industry. He was part of the US WEST team that built the first digital broadband network in the U.K. with Comcast, Jones Cable and TCI (now known as Telewest) and later introduced it into the U.S. market. He was also involved in the deployment of Time Warner Cables ground-breaking Full Service Network iTV trial in Orlando, Fla. At MediaOne, Ferris created the MediaOne brand and developed the companys broadband cable modem and digital video strategy. Scott is committee chair of the Data/Metrics for the Innovation in Digital Advertising (IDiA) Project and is an active member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) On Demand Television Consortium
Jonathan Epstein, CEO, Double Fusion: As CEO of Double Fusion, Jonathan Epstein br ings a record of launching and building the most successful gaming media properties worldwide. Epstein is responsible for providing strategic vision and direction for the company. Before joining Double Fusion, Epstein was co-head United Talent Agencys digital media group. Prior, Epstein served as executive vice president and general manager for IGN Entertainment, acquired by Fox Interactive Media in 2005. Epstein came to IGN with the sale of GameSpy, where he was president and established the company as a major media player. Epstein was founding president and CEO of GameSpot.com where he reshaped the way gamers acquire information.
Chet Kanojia, Chief Executive Officer, Navic Networks: Chet Kanojia, Chief Execu tive Officer, is an innovative leader known for pushing beyond the conventional to discover breakthrough solutions. He honed his entrepreneurial edge providing product strategy analysis, systems architecture design, and program management at Product Genesis, Inc., a strategic product development, consulting firm spun out of the MIT Innovation Center. Chet's background also includes doctoral-level work on the commercial applications of artificial intelligence. He holds a master's degree in Computer Systems Engineering from Northeastern University and a bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering from the Regional Engineering College Bhopal in India.
Simon McGrath, Chief Marketing Officer, SeaChange International, Inc.: A global entertainment and content rights veteran, Simon McGrath was appointed SeaChange Internationals Chief Marketing Officer in 2007. He is responsible for the global positioning of SeaChange and developing programs and events that clearly articulate the Companys corporate messages and leadership. Prior to become SeaChanges CMO, McGrath served as the Director, Strategy and Development at On Demand Group Limited, a subsidiary of SeaChange since September 2005. McGrath has led strategic advertising, marketing, sales and communication initiatives at various global organizations including On Demand Group and Lysis SA, a software company specializing in advanced content management solutions for digital television. Since joining On Demand Group in 2002 as its first Chief Technology Officer, McGrath has played a leading role developing joint ventures that create sustainable market solutions in the implementation of VOD, Subscription Video-On-Demand (SVOD), IPTV and Pay-Per-View (PPV) services. He has been integral in creating video acquisition, advertising and distribution business models for leading companies such as Walt Disney, Sony Pictures, Virgin Media, Telefonica and Kabel Deutschland. McGrath holds a Masters degree in computer science from Cambridge University.
Keith Kocho, Founder, ExtendMedia Corporation: Keith Kocho founded ExtendMedia (then Digital Renaissance) in 1991. Under his leadership, the company has been recognized for numerous awards including The OnHollywood 100, The Fast 50, Canadas Fastest Growing Companies, Profit 100, and others, and he has personally received such awards as the BDC's Young Entrepreneur of the Year. He has been an advisor to Apple Computer, consultant to leading telecommunications and technology companies such as Intel, IBM and Microsoft, and has served on the advisory boards of several Colleges and Universities. His industry roles have included board participation on ITAC, CANARIE and the Canadian Film Centre. Prior to starting the company, Keith co-developed the first PC-based offline video editing system, EnSuite, in 1990. He is a graduate of Ryerson University with a degree in Radio and Television Arts.
