A transformation of advertising is steadily taking form. As the digital technologies emerge and engage the consumer in new and better-understood ways, the relationship between the brand, the agency and the consumer is beginning to realize itself within a more fully defined business model. With a stronger economy and the gaining strength in all sectors of digital transmission, from cable and satellite to mobile, games, podcasting and broadband, an advertising strategy in a diversified digital environment, while proving to be challenging, is nonetheless finding its footing. Technology has forever changed the landscape and it is up to the creative team to design and develop new tools, visions and strategies to grow within it.

Jon Bond is the Co-Chairman and Co-Founder of kirshenbaum bond + partners (kbp), a network of marketing communications specialty companies including kb, dotglu, LIME public relations + promotion and The Media Kitchen. Recently named Adweeks 2004 U.S. Agency of the Year, kbp has offices in New York and San Francisco. A true entrepreneur, Bond combines unique business acumen with a widely respected creative reputation. Bond founded kbp in 1987 with business partner and Co-Chairman Richard Kirshenbaum. The agency had its first acclaim with the groundbreaking advertising campaign for Kenneth Cole, the long-running global campaign for Coach, as well as establishing Snapple as a household name with the launch of Snapples "100% natural" advertising campaign featuring "Wendy the Snapple Lady." kirshenbaum bond + partners has since grown to include over 300 employees, with combined client billings of nearly $600 million.
Bant Breen, President, Futures Marketing Group, Interpublic: Bant Breen is President, Interpublic Futures Marketing Group and Director of Strategic Development and Innovation of the Interpublic Group (NYSE: IPG), one of the world's leading organizations of advertising agencies and marketing services companies. Mr. Breen plays a key role in driving Interpublic's strategic agenda in areas such as asset alignment, communications innovation, technology and acquisitions. The Futures Marketing Group seeks to build groundbreaking media and marketing services and business models and to provide strategic new media solutions that support Interpublic's agencies. Companies within the Futures Marketing Group include Reprise Media and Ansible Mobile. David T. Cassaro, President, Advertising Sales, Comcast Networks - As Presiden t of Advertising Sales of Comcast Networks, Dave Cassaro oversees advertising sales for Comcast-managed national networks, which include E! Entertainment Television, The Style Network, G4, AZN, Versus, FearNet, exercisetv and PBS KIDS Sprout. He also is responsible for national video-on-demand sales efforts. Cassaro works closely with the senior management of each of the Comcast networks to support unique business objectives and growth. He previously served as Senior Executive Vice President of E! Networks, where he oversaw all of the companys sales forces, including domestic advertising sales for both the E! and The Style Network, international advertising and product sales, and affiliate relations. Cassaro first joined E! Entertainment Television in October 1990 as Senior Vice President of Advertising Sales. During his tenure at E! Networks, Cassaro helped transform the start-up to a respected media brand by tremendously boosting the networks advertising revenue, as well as maintaining current advertiser relationships. Cassaro also is credited with implementing the pioneering E! "back room" system, placing E! at the forefront of cable ad sales administration. Prior to joining E!, Cassaro held the position of Vice President of Eastern Sales for Fox Broadcasting Company, where he was responsible for helping launch Fox's sales department. Cassaro also served in a variety of affiliate relations and advertiser sales positions at CBS Television Network. He has been a staff member of ABC, NBC and Telerep, a national spot sales organization. Cassaro currently serves on the Board of Directors of the Cable Advertising Bureau (CAB), The International Radio & Television Society (IRTS) and City Meals on Wheels, a non-profit organization that hand-delivers meals to the homebound elderly population. In 1995 he received the CAB President's Award. He also is a member of the Executive Steering Committee for E.D.I. A native New Yorker, Cassaro is a graduate of Marist College with a Bachelor of Arts in Communication Arts. He currently resides on Long Island, NY with his wife Mary Jane and their three children.
Jeff Minsky, Director, Emerging Media Platforms, OMG NEXTJeff Minsky is current ly Director of NEXT, the Emerging Media Platforms arm of OMG Digital, bringing education and guidance to clients navigating the tumultuous waters of the transition from an analog linear media world to a fragmented digital, interactive media world. As part of OMG, Jeff works with internal groups and clients from OMD, PHD and Prometheus Media Services. As part of NEXT, he leads the Omnicom Media Shared Learning Consortium (OMSLC), a group of 12+ Omnicom clients who are testing various emerging technologies such as VOD, iTV, broadband, wireless, videogaming and digital signage and providing pricing parameters based on those results. In addition, he is an adjunct professor at NYU, teaching Continuing Ed students about new media platforms. With more than 18 years of media planning experience (at DeWitt Media, OgilvyOne, RappCollins and OMD Digital), Jeff has expertise in print, television, radio and out-of-home media. Over the past ten years, Jeff has been a pioneer in the world of interactive media and marketing, having executed the first large search buy in 1995. A native of Dallas, Texas, Jeff attended Yeshiva University, graduating with a B.A. in Economics and an A.A. in Hebrew Literature. In 1989, he joined DeWitt Media (now Optimedia) working on Pearle Vision, Hebrew National, Reebok, MasterCard and the Discovery Channel. Jeff was honored with Mediaweeks 1996 Best Use of New Media for one of the first-ever search marketing buys, utilizing guerrilla marketing techniques and competitive keywords on search engines for IBM. In 1998, Jeff and his team received an award from ChannelSeven.com for creating the first interactive Web commercial, featuring Rocky and Bullwinkle for Tivoli Systems, Inc. In 2000, Jeff was one of the authors of the AAAAs Terms and Conditions Standards for Internet Advertising version 1.0. He currently sits on the AAAAs Digital Innovations Committee. From 2003 2005, Jeff was East Coast Media Director for OMD Digital, growing OMD Digital into one of the top three digital media companies with accounts such as GE, Dannon, Cingular and Absolut Vodka. Jeff is proud of his family (wife Debbie and daughters Maya and Ellie), his home theater, his i-Phone and the fact that he doesnt have an avatar on Second Life.
Justin Townsend, CEO and Co-founder of IGA Worldwide is one of the figureheads in the in-game advertising industry. A pioneer of digital advertising with over 15 years of relevant experience, Townsend has worked in a number of senior roles at a variety of global media organizations. In 2004, Townsend founded IGA Worldwide, the global leader in 360 degree in-game advertising solutions. Having established a proprietary ad serving network, Radial, Townsend has led Series B VC round, securing $25 million funding in 2007 and Series A VC round which secured $17 million funding in 2006 and also saw IGA Worldwide recognized separately as the Breakout Company of the Year 2006 and as a Top 100 Private Company in the media and entertainment sector for two consecutive years. Townsend recently led the Before founding IGA, Townsend was responsible for developing the digital element of global advertising conglomerate McCann-Erickson from their Berlin office. Initially director of consulting for digital media at Zentropy Partners, (McCann Erickson World Group), Townsend was swiftly promoted to Head of Online at McCann-Erickson Berlin.
Scott Ferris, Senior Vice President & General Manager, Emerging Media , Micros oft Advertiser & Publisher Solutions: Scott brings more than 20 years of broadband, cable, internet and direct marketing experience to Microsoft. As SVP and GM of the Emerging Media division, he is responsible for incubating new business initiatives focused on the growth of digital cable television, on demand media and emerging technology such as in-stream video, gaming and mobile. For more than two decades, Scott has played a significant role in bringing hybrid fiber-coaxial networks and the triple play concept to market in the broadband industry. He was part of the US WEST team that built the first digital broadband network in the U.K. with Comcast, Jones Cable and TCI (now known as Telewest) and later introduced it into the U.S. market. He was also involved in the deployment of Time Warner Cables ground-breaking Full Service Network iTV trial in Orlando, Fla. At MediaOne, Ferris created the MediaOne brand and developed the companys broadband cable modem and digital video strategy. Scott is committee chair of the Data/Metrics for the Innovation in Digital Advertising (IDiA) Project and is an active member of the Cable and Telecommunications Association for Marketing (CTAM) On Demand Television Consortium.
