Internet Video, Advertising & Marketing: The Next Generation of Consumer Reach
Video on the Internet has finally passed the critical threshold of acceptance by the advertising and marketing communities as a more than viable alternative to traditional media. Internet delivered video has not only entered the advertising space, it has invaded it and in a very short number of years, Internet delivered video will be a dominant entertainment and communications consumer medium. The scary part for traditional media, Internet delivered video may end up on a PC, a mobile device or on a TV and for the advertising and marketing industries, an emerging and maturing delivery system to an ever elusive audience is exactly what they are looking for. Jayant Kadambi, co-founder and CEO, YuMe: Jayant Kadambi has over 18 years of experience in the areas of networking, hardware architecture and semiconductors. Prior to co–founding YuMe Networks in 2004, Jayant was Vice President R&D and Officer of Netopia, Inc., a publicly held manufacturer of DSL equipment and service provider for ISP’s and carriers. Jayant joined Netopia upon its acquisition in 1999 of StarNet Technologies, a VoDSL company he had co–founded. Prior to co–founding StarNet, Jayant held various technical and marketing positions in AMD’s networks division, and AT&T Bell Labs, where he worked on high–speed LAN systems, hardware and DSL technologies.














Philip Braden,
Vice President, Product Management, ScanScout: In his role as Vice President, Product Management, Phil is responsible for ScanScout’s product strategy and roadmap. He brings to this position more than 12 years of software and internet industry experience, with a focus on product management and marketing. Before joining ScanScout, Phil was a founding team member of Endeca Technologies and held numerous leadership positions during his eight-year tenure. His responsibilities included leading the product management team, as well as driving the company’s marketing strategy for ecommerce and online media. Phil served as Endeca’s first product manager and was instrumental in the creation and launch of the initial product offering. He also played a key role in establishing Endeca’s leadership position. Prior to Endeca, Phil held positions at Monitor Company and ALK Associates. Phil holds a Bachelor’s degree in Engineering and Operations Research from Princeton University. He is based in Boston, MA.


Lon Otremba, CEO Access 360 Media: Lon serves as Access 360 Media's CEO and has responsibility for the leadership of the entire organization overseeing the company's management team and portfolio of products and services. A well-known interactive media pioneer, Otremba is a veteran operating executive and advisor in the Internet publishing, print, television and broadcast music industries. He's a frequent commentator on interactive marketing and operating strategies, presenting at such events as the Forbes CFO Conference, The Economist Conference, and numerous Business Week, Internet World, and AdTech Conferences. He has also appeared on CNN and CNBC and served on the executive board of the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB). Most recently, as CEO of Muzak LLC, the world’s largest provider of commercial music services, he rejuvenated the brand, restructured all of their operations and streamlined the organization. Otremba also served as executive vice president of America Online's Interactive Marketing Group, a $720mm+ business responsible for developing and leading the short and long-term strategy and operations for AOL's advertising and e-commerce business turnaround. Many of the initiatives undertaken during his term formed the foundation for AOL's reemergence as an interactive marketing leader. He was also part of the team that launched Mail.com (now EasyLink Services Corporation), helped guide them through an IPO in 1999, and served as president and COO. Before that, he was one of the founding members of the CNET Networks management team, where he was executive vice president, responsible for developing CNET's highly successful revenue model in interactive media and television, and helped position the company for a successful IPO in 1996. Previously, he held various senior executive management positions at Ziff Davis Publishing and CMP Media. He began his career at Procter and Gamble. In addition to sitting on the Board of Directors for Access 360 Media, Otremba currently sits on the board of EEI Communications, a leading provider of outsourced new media, print publishing and staffing services; Cardium Therapeutics, Inc., a publicly traded interventional cardiology company focused on the commercial development of myocardial-derived cardiovascular growth factor therapeutics; and Artes Medical, a vertically integrated medical technology company focused on the development of new and innovative products for the plastic surgery, cosmetic surgery and dermatology markets. He is also a trustee of the Buckley Country Day School.

Brett Wilson, Co-founder and CEO, TUBEMOGUL: Brett is an experienced and successful entrepreneur and online/direct marketer. After spending three years as an IT consultant for Accenture, he left to found an ecommerce company - which under his leadership obtained over $69 million in revenue and was successfully acquired after two years. Brett then founded a successful online marketing consulting company. The company manages all aspects of web marketing for clients, including two public companies.










James Elden, Vice President, Interactive and Print, Alloy Media + Marketing: As Vice President, Interactive and Print for Alloy Media + Marketing (Nasdaq: ALOY), James Elden guides the strategic direction and development of Alloy’s interactive network and print marketing vehicles that together reach over 22 Million active young consumers. Since joining Alloy, James has been integral to the significant evolution of the company’s interactive focused assets and marketing initiatives with the formation and launch of its youth focused online network, Teen.com. A pioneer in the interactive marketing space, James brings over a decade of experience serving the industry. Prior to joining Alloy, James has held senior roles at various leading interactive focused companies, including Emap Publishing, Time, Inc., Advertising.com and Oridian. James began his career with United Airlines in the UK, where he helped to develop and launch Europe’s first online rewards program, “MyPoints Europe”.


Brad Jefferson, CEO & Co-founder, Animoto: As CEO of Animoto, Brad leads the charge in driving Animoto to be the global standard for turning images and music into professional-looking video content. Prior to co-founding Animoto, Brad spent eight years with Onyx Software. At Onyx, he was Director of Sales Operations and managed the national team of sales engineers. Previously, Brad managed Onyx's Professional Services team and customer base in the western US and was regularly the company's top services sales representative. Brad's clients varied in size and industry and included companies such as Starbucks and AAA. Through Brad's career at Onyx he saw the company grow from a 17-person start-up to an 800-person public company and eventually through an acquisition. Brad graduated from Dartmouth College, and currently resides in Oakland, California.
