Sanjay Desai, Vice President, Product Marketing, Brightcove: Sanjay serves as Vice President of Product Marketing at Brightcove. In this role, he leads the product team responsible for Brightcoves core service and spearheads product marketing across the organization. Before joining Brightcove, Sanjay spent several years leading product management/marketing for Tellme Networks consumer business in Mountain View, California. Prior to Tellme, Sanjay served as VP, Strategic Planning at The Walt Disney Company, focused on ABCs broadcast and production businesses. Earlier in his career, Sanjay gained experience within Goldman Sachs technology, media and telecom M&A group and as a strategy consultant for KPMG. He holds a BA from the University of California, Berkeley and an MBA from Stanford Business School.
Peter Lee, Chief Technology Officer/Chief Strategy Officer, Channel M: Lee leads all aspects of Channel Ms Technology and Network Systems. Previous to joining Channel M in May 2008, Peter Lee was Vice President, Business and Development New Technology at The Walt Disney Company.
Chris Gillis, Director of marketing, Business Development, MediaDefender, Inc: Chris is an industry expert in Internet/New Media applications and services. As a former online advertising manager, he has extensive knowledge in both the technical aspects as well as business related issues in emerging technology companies. He has also been on the executive management of two successful start ups. He is currently with MediaDefender, Inc. He completed his undergraduate studies at the University of Oregon, Eugene, while earning a dual BA/BS degree. He heads business development sales at ARTISTdirect.coms (40 million monthly unique users) peer-to-peer marketing divisions of sister company, MediaDefender, the worlds largest music and entertainment peer-to-peer file-sharing antipiracy company. Their customers include most major record labels and movie studios, as well as a generous mix of independent record labels, software/video game publishers, and anime companies. Chris can comment on the potential for alternative marketing/distribution and advertising on the P2P networks. The marketing division utilizes MediaDefenders thousands of collocated servers and software built over the last eight years to distribute millions of their clients videos (commercials, webisodes, banned videos, viral videos, behind-the-scenes footage, etc.) out to the 300 million tech savvy file-sharing community based on what they are searching for. Over the last year and a half, MediaDefender has pioneered branding campaigns, sponsored mp3 pushes, P2P user redirection, and advertising initiatives on various Peer-2-Peer Networks.
Matt Bromberg, CEO, Major League Gaming: As president and CEO, Matthew is responsible for all operations of Major League Gaming, the first professional video gaming league in America. MLG operates the multi-city MLG Pro Circuit; produces compelling competitions for national television, broadband and mobile distribution; and exclusively represents the best gamers in the world. It also operates a thriving online community and online tournaments for millions of gamers at mlgpro.com. MLG, founded in 2002, is based in New York City and is privately held. Prior to joining MLG, he was CEO of Davidson Media Holdings, an investment and consulting partnership dedicated to online gaming, where he was an advisor to X-Fire (acquired by Viacom), Gametrust (acquired by Real Networks), and PixelPlay (Acquired by Oberon Media). Prior to Davidson, Matthew spent six years at AOL/Time Warner, first as general manager of MovieFone and then as the general manager of AOL Games. Under his leadership, the MovieFone business became the number one movie show times and ticketing service in the world, both online and on the phone. During his time at AOL, Games became the most popular content offering on AOL measured by time spent. Previously, Matthew was at CMP Media as Publisher and General Manager of the TechWeb Network. During his tenure, CMP Media IPOd and was subsequently sold for $920MM to United News and Media. He began his career working for Steven Brill as head of sales and marketing for Lexis Counsel Connect, a pioneering online service launched in 1993, and he later became Deputy Publisher at Brills American Lawyer Media/Court TV. Matthew has a B.A. in English from Cornell University and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.
Iain Scholnick, President & CEO, Imagespan: A visionary and veteran of the Internet and wireless industries, Iain brings more than 18 years of technical and operations experience to drive ImageSpan towards its mission of leading the market in licensing and billing automation for media. Under Iains leadership, ImageSpan has filed three patents, secured significant funding in financing led by Alan Patricof and his venture fund, Greycroft Partners, and forged strategic partnerships with Adobe, Omnicom, and Bertelsmann. His experience in entrepreneurial settings and vertical markets include his role at ERUCES, a data security company, where as VP, Business Solutions, he focused on deploying a high volume of data encryption and key management platform into the wireless, healthcare, finance, government and media industries. Previously, as CTO of Livemind, a wireless commerce and technology services company, Iain secured tier 1 venture capital through institutional investors. The architect of Liveminds product platform, Iain scaled the company infrastructure and engineering operations to 75 employees. Previous to Livemind, Iain was a member of the ClickAction Company (NASDAQ: CLAC) executive team, building an Enterprise Marketing Automation platform.
