Kirk Cheyfitz, CEO and Co-Chief Creative Officer, Story Worldwide: Kirk Cheyfitz is an award-winning journalist, author, pioneer in non-traditional marketing and custom-created content, and successful international businessman. He has enjoyed a global career in entertainment, journalism, marketing, and business, and is a leading expert in the profitable use of content to extend brands, win customers, create loyalty, and build sales. Cheyfitz is an Executive Vice President of MRM Partners Worldwide, and Worldwide Managing Director of MRM Partners' The Publishing Agency, the world's first international custom publishing network. Cheyfitz continues to expand The Publishing Agency around the world. Cheyfitz was a Pulitzer Prize finalist for investigative work at the Detroit Free Press. He won the prestigious Sigma Delta Chi Bronze Medallion for investigative reporting, among many national and regional journalism honors.
Rob Bagot, EVP, Executive Creative Director, McCann Worldgroup San Francisco: Rob Bagot joined McCann Worldgroup in 2005, partnering with John McNeil to lead the creative team in San Francisco. Rob began his career at BBDO San Francisco in 1986, where he worked as a writer on the Apple Computer account. In 1989, Rob joined Goodby, Berlin and Silverstein, then in their fifth year of existence. At Goodby, Rob won every major national and international award, including the Howard Gossage award honoring San Franciscos copywriter of the year. In 1995, Rob founded Big Bang Idea Engineering, and the agency quickly established a national reputation, being named one of Five Agencies to Watch by Advertising Ages Creativity Magazine. Craving more out of the advertising world, he joined OgilvyOne as creative director, where he oversaw over $400 million dollars of integrated advertising programs for IBM. Bagot now has over 500 awards to his credit, including Clios, One Show Golds and Cannes Lions.
Jared Hendler, Worldwide Executive Creative Director, Edelman Digital: Born in South Africa, Jared brings over 20 years of creative management experience forged from over a decade in the corporate world together with the nimble management skills acquired from having founded and managed 2 new media startups. Prior to joining Edelman, Jared was a founder of SmashTube, with a focus on digital media strategy along with the creation, production & distribution of Branded Entertainment and Original Programming for online, mobile video and social networks. Prior to Smashtube, Jared founded MyAdGuys and MarketingForce as an online marketing platform for small business and large brands included American Express, Motorola, ERA, Century 21, Coldwell Banker, Auntie Annes Pretzels, Serta, AgFirst Bank, Assante, Dex Media & YouthAids. Jareds entrepreneurial spirit was grounded with 10 years of experience within the WPP family at Grey Advertising on global brands such as Domino's Pizza, Mars, Red Lobster, Canon Cameras, Topps, Cendant, Kool Aid and Mitsubishi. He was also the Executive Creative Director and co-founder of G2 at Grey (WPP) from 1992 and grew the group from 2 people to over 100+ in NY, while spearheading the development of over a dozen international offices around the WPP network including London, Helsinki, Hong Kong, Kuala Lumpur, Paris, Moscow, Caracas, Santiago, Rio, Bogotá & Toronto. Jared is the author of a forward-thinking digital media blog. He is a prior board member of the Art Directors Club and is a Blue Ribbon Judge for the Emmy Award's new broadband category. He is a graduate of the Art Center College of Design in Pasadena, CA and resides as their East Coast Chapter Chair. Personal passions include gymnastics, horseback riding, yoga & surfing. When not in the office, Jared can be found globetrotting or out on the East end of Long Island riding the waves.
Mat Zucker, VP, Executive Creative Director, Agency.com: Mat leads creative for Agency.com, New York, supervising about 30 creative directors, art directors, copywriters, information architects, designers and developers. Mat was previously executive creative director at R/GA for Subaru and Johnson & Johnson, leading digital work for Acuvue, Clean & Clear, Johnsons Baby, Splenda and Viactiv brands. At OgilvyOne worldwide in New York for six years, Mat was senior partner, group creative director for Cisco Systems, American Express, Ameritrade, Arthur Andersen, and The US Office of National Drug Control Policy. Mat has worked across media channels, including advertising, promotion, direct and digital. He is among the earliest advertising creatives who emigrated to the Web, designing the first corporate and e-commerce sites. Mat helped pioneered brands in podcasting, and is an expert in youth marketing. He has won numerous industry awards, including the London International Advertising Awards, The ADDYs, the CASIE and the WPP Atticus Award. Mat graduated from Cornell and started as a copywriter at Foote Cone & Belding. He is the US Interactive Chair for the John Caples International Marketing Awards.
Brian Terkelsen, EVP, Managing Director, connectivetissue, MediaVest USA: Brian has been in the entertainment marketing industry since 1992 and has extensive experience working with MTV, ESPN and Discovery Channel. In 1995, he served as Executive Producer on MTV Eco-Challenge and ESPN Extreme Games. Most recently, Brian was General Manager of Be Here Technologies, Inc., where he directly managed the Sales, Marketing and Production Groups as well as the sale of broadcast services to Entertainment Tonight, NBC, NBA, 2002 Winter Olympics and HBO Sports. Prior to this, he served three years as Group General Manager of Quokka Sports, Inc. where he conceived and negotiated programming deals in the adventure and sailing space.
Rob Schwartz is the Executive Creative Director of the Los Angeles office of TBWA\CHIAT\DAY. During his tenure, the office has experienced unprecedented growth to both its creative reputation and bottom line. In fact, the LA office was Adweeks Agency of The Year. And just this month, the work of out of the LA office contributed to helping TBWA\CHIAT\DAY earn Most Awarded Advertising Agency in the World according to the Gunn Report. Rob has been a key creative force behind Nissans global, long-running SHIFT_ campaign, the Life takes Visa, campaign, PlayStations Play Beyond effort and pretty much everything else that comes out of the LA office. A writer by trade, Robs work has appeared in every major advertising award show as well as Adweeks Best of the Decade. In addition, he was part of the joint TBWA\ and TEQUILA team that helped PlayStation and Shadow of the win the coveted Yahoo! Purple Chair for digital marketing excellence. Rob was recently named Leader of The Year by the Los Angeles Advertising Agencies Association (now known as ThinkLA) and he is a proud member of the Los Angeles advertising community.
