Stephen Benedict is Principal Product Manager for AOL's popular and industry-leading AIM service. In this role he guides the direction and development of the Open AIM developer program as well as new AIM products and services on the desktop and on the Web. His background prior to AOL includes technical leadership positions at Apple Computer, where he played key roles in delivering advanced display technologies and the company's first Bluetooth products, and strategic marketing at Motorola. Stephen holds a BS in Electrical Engineering from Florida A&M University, a MS in Computer Science and Engineering from the University of Michigan, and a MBA from Harvard Business School.

Jeff "hemos" Bates, Vice President of OSTG Editorial Operations and Executive Editor, Slashdot.org: Jeff Bates brings many years of strategic management and editorial leadership to OSTG. As Vice President of Editorial Operations and Executive Editor of Slashdot, Bates is responsible for setting strategy and integration for the company’s business development partnerships, for driving new site and product development, and, for fun, helps manage strategic story editing and placement for the leading proprietary news site, Slashdot. While at Slashdot, Bates has been responsible for several industry awards including a Webby People's Voice Award for Community, as well as Yahoo!’s “Top 100” Best of the Internet Award. Slashdot has also been cited by The Washington Post, Brill's Content, TIME, USA Today, Rolling Stone and other industry leading publications as one of the most innovative and important sites for the technical community. Bates has spoken at numerous industry leading conferences and events including MIT, LinuxWorld, Worchester Polytechnic Institute, Northern Michigan University and Sun Developers Group, the Asian Open Source Symposium, Conference of Australian Linux Users, O’Reilly’s p2p Conference, and the University of Michigan. Bates is a member of the Open Source Advisory Panel for the US government and holds a Bachelor's degree in History from Hope College.

Cynthia Francis, CEO, Reality Digital: A dedicated serial entrepreneur with over 12 years in the field of digital media management, Cynthia has founded or managed companies and departments for Apple Computer, The Content Group, eMotion, Cinebase Software and the DMM Group. Her corporate and leadership experience over the past two decades have made her a frequent speaker on topics including digital media, user-generated content (UGC) and women entrepreneurs. Cynthia is gratified to see the advent of Web 2.0, despite the challenge of simultaneously running a company and raising three daughters. Cynthia has a BA in Drama and a BA in Development Studies from the University of California at Berkeley.

As former VP of New Media at Miramax/Dimension Films, Ian conceived and oversaw execution of their most popular online campaigns. In 2002, Ian founded Deep Focus to bring a holistic suite of marketing and promotional solutions to the entertainment industry. Deep Focus' current clients include America Online, Dimension Films, HBO, MGM, Universal Music Group, 20th Century Fox, and many others. Ian has been featured as an expert in online entertainment advertising and marketing in Variety, The Hollywood Reporter, Advertising Age, iMedia Connection, MediaPost, and on CNN. Ian is also currently a Rich Media & Streaming Video Advertising expert for Jupiter Media's ClickZ Network, publishing a bi-weekly article.








Reena Jadhav, CMO, Conduit.com: Over the past fifteen years, Reena Jadhav has led countless marketing successes and BtoB marketing campaigns. Reena is a serial entrepreneur with a passion for game-changing, value-making ideas. Prior to her current role as CMO of Conduit, Reena founded and served as CMO at JobFlash, an award-winning service for automating hourly recruiting and also co-founded and ran product marketing at Done.com, an award-winning wireless messaging service. In addition, she worked at Oracle Corporation and PriceWaterhouseCoopers. Reena graduated summa cum laude from Wharton Business School with a Bachelors in Science and earned her MBA from Harvard Business School. Reena is a sought-after speaker, due to her ability to captivate audiences with real world marketing expertise. For example, she recently addressed her peers at the AlwaysOn Media conference in New York in January, after which, the organizer stated, "Reena did a fantastic job at AO Media NYC and was a huge success." Dan Miller, Vice President of Mobile Solutions for Neighborhood America, Dan Miller has been instrumental in enabling interactive social networks on the mobile platform for major companies, including adidas, CBS and Reebok, among others. The nation’s forward-thinking companies and organizations can now interact with consumers, deliver content and build social networks through online and mobile platforms, thus connecting with individuals wherever they roam. Prior to joining Neighborhood America, Miller served as President of MOVO Mobile and founded BizTank and PlanetResume.com. He earned his Bachelors Degree from Brandeis University. Dan Miller is a nationally recognized speaker and expert on mobile advertising social networks, mobile properties and on the role that technology plays in enabling companies to strengthen their competitive positioning. He has spoken at a variety of conferences, events and workshops including PC Forum and was among twenty young entrepreneurs chosen to speak at Esther Dyson’s Release 1.0 Conference.



Joe Marchese, President, Archetype Media, Moderator: Archetype Media is building the next generation of platforms to distribute digital brand advertising into social media. Joe leads Archetype’s efforts to build partnerships with Madison Avenue and the media community, as well as driving Archetype Media’s overall product strategy. Prior to Archetype Media, Marchese built and lead the online media strategy division at a boutique management consulting firm. Marchese developed and guided the group to provide Fortune 1000 clientele research and online strategy development focused on the rapidly growing digital media market. Previously, Marchese worked for Monster Worldwide, the parent company of Monster.com.
