Todd Herman, Director of Media Strategy, is responsible for the strategy, implementation and communication of advertising sales for MSN Video. Mr. Herman began working in streaming media in 1996, shortly after its inception, while working at the forefront of the Hot Talk Radio movement. In 1998, he co-founded and served as CEO of theDial, (now Loudeye Radio), a seminal Internet Radio Pioneer. theDial provided private labeled audio and Internet radio technology to offline music service providers and top 100 web properties; theDial was the first company to welcome multiple Fortune 500 companies to Internet Radio advertising. As President of Mediagasm, LLC, he consulted media and technology companies on crossing online and broadcast advertising models, his clients included Microsoft, Windows Media, MSNBC.com and Ads.com -an early pioneer in serving Television advertising online- where he conceived his three C's of streaming media for consumers: control, condense & combine. He sits on the board of the International Webcasters Association and is a contributing author to The Streaming Media Bible by Steve Mack (2002, Wiley & Sons). Before co-founding theDial, Mr. Herman worked in most every facet of radio including several years as a nationally known radio talk show host. Todd Herman is an exciting, provocative speaker on media, advertising, pop culture and the Internet as the entertainment delivery device of the future -- and the present.
Mort Greenberg brings nearly 15 years of sales and business development e xperience in traditional and new media to his role as vice president of sales at Metacafe. Prior to joining Metacafe in January 2007, Mort served as vice president of media sales strategy and development for IAC Advertising Solutions, an operating business of IAC/InterActiveCorp (IACI). Prior to this role, Mort was vice president of client services and ad operations for IAC Advertising Solutions. Before IACs acquisition of Ask Jeeves in 2005, Mort served as director of national sales and client services at Ask Jeeves. Prior to Ask Jeeves, he was part of the start-up sales teams at Excite.com in 1996, and iWon.com in 2000. Mort started his career in traditional media holding sales positions with Blair Television and Capital Cities / ABC Publishing Group.
Shahi Ghanem - CEO, Brickfish: Shahi is a technology and internet industry ve teran with extensive experience in digital media, consumer electronics, internet business models, and advanced technology product development. Shahi most recently served as President of DivX, Inc., one of the worlds leading developers of video compression, security, and distribution technologies. Shahi helped grow the company from an early stage startup into a profitable, multi-national business forging relationships with companies such as Sony, Samsung, JVC, Philips, Thomson, Warner Brothers, and Viacom. Prior to joining DivX, Shahi served a variety of instrumental roles within technology-based companies, including angel investor, co-founder, and President of Eotec, LLC, a professional services firm dedicated to helping early stage technology and internet companies develop business strategies, acquire capital, and expand operations; the National Program Director of eBusiness and Advanced Technology for Complete Business Solutions, Inc. (CBSI), a 6,500-person global systems integrator; and Director with Claremont Technology Groups Advanced Technology Center.
Scott Swanson, Vice President of Network and Partner Development, ViTrue: Sw anson brings to ViTrue nearly a decade of advertising network experience. He joins the company from Tribal Fusion, the web's third largest ad network, where he served as vice president of network development and was responsible for building the publisher network over the past five years by forming and maintaining partnerships with premium publishers. Swanson was instrumental in the development of the Tribal Fusion network which now reaches more than 109 million US users and 18 billion ad impressions monthly. Previously, he served as manager of publisher development at Engage Media and managed relationships with premium publishers at ad network, Flycast Communications. As an industry thought leader, Swanson is a regular panelist and participant in industry events such as the Northern California Broadcasters Association and AD:TECH. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Media Studies from Pomona College with a concentration in Film. Swanson is also member of the San Francisco Bay Area Interactive Group.
Manish Madhvani Co-Founder & Partner, GP Bullhound: Established in 1999, GP Bullhound Ltd. is a research centric investment bank focused on providing private placement and mergers & acquisition advice to public and private companies in the technology sector. Manish recently advised the Treasury on "Entrepreneurship and Funding" and was short-listed for business person of the year in the KPMG London Business Awards.
