In this session, we bring together a group of the most experienced professionals in the field of new media advertising and content delivery and we look forward to it being a truly visionary look into the future of the marketplace. The projections of new technologies to the consumer, from IPTV and HDTV, Broadband and the continued explosion in mobile devices and features, the issues of brand extension, advertising and commerce to the consumer is the most critical question facing industry executives. What can we seriously expect from the merger of content and commerce? With broadband and wireless exploding, it seems as if the entertainment and information industries have reached a new taking off point for the e-commerce revolution. With a consumer demanding innovation in content and features and the technology now in place, this time there will be no false start.

Baris Karadogan, Partner, ComVentures: Baris Karadogan focuses on identifying investment, opportunities in the Internet, new media and mobile, markets as well as supporting existing ComVentures, portfolio companies., , Baris joined ComVentures from U.S. Venture Partners, where he was a board member of Minerva Networks, and, worked closely with companies such as Podtech, Redline, Communications, Aspendos Communications, Dilithium, Networks, Maxxan Systems and Ciphertrust., , Prior to U.S. Venture Partners, Baris worked in both, engineering and marketing at 3Com/U.S. Robotics, where, he helped to develop the company's networking and, cable industry products. His work at U.S. Robotics, resulted in a number of U.S. patents. Fluent in, English and Turkish, Baris sits on the board of, directors of Friends of Anatolia, a nonprofit, supporting education in Turkey, and is active in the, Turkish-American Community., , Baris earned a BS in Electrical Engineering from, Lafayette College, where he graduated summa cum laude., Karadogan also earned an M.S. in Electrical, Engineering from Stanford University and an MBA from, the Stanford University Graduate School of Business,, where he was an Arjay Miller Scholar., Baris writes a blog titled From Istanbul to Sand Hill, Road (http://baris.typepad.com) which focuses on high, technology, venture capital, innovation and, creativity.
Jason Spero, Vice President of Marketing, AdMob: Jason Spero is Vice Presiden t of Marketing at AdMob. He is responsible for global marketing activities in AdMob's more than 160 country markets. This includes building the AdMob Marketplace to serve the companies hundreds of advertisers and more than 1700 publisher partners. AdMob serves over 700 million text and graphical ads per month with multiple levels of targeting. Jason joined AdMob in March 2007. Jason brings more than 7 years of experience in the mobile space in Product, Marketing and General Management functions. Before joining AdMob, Jason was an Entrepreneur in Residence at Redpoint Ventures where he focused on mobile applications, services and infrastructure. Prior to Redpoint, Jason was SVP Marketing a Digital Chocolate where he was responsible for worldwide product, marketing and distribution. Jason launched some of DChoc's most successful products including its Social Applications line. During Jason's two years at the company, Digital Chocolate revenues grew by 400%.
Rob Crumpler, President and Chief Executive Officer, BuzzLogic: Rob Crumple r joined BuzzLogic as president and CEO in October, 2005. An entrepreneur and internet strategist, Crumpler has more than 20 years of experience with high technology growth companies including Microsoft and Intuit. Prior to joining BuzzLogic, Crumpler drove the growth of Microsoft MSN Money. Previously, Crumpler founded On the Go Software where he was president and CEO for seven years. The company became the industry leader in the expense reporting and corporate travel management space and was acquired by Intuit in 1996. While at Intuit, Crumpler led the development of the OFX Consortium, which fathered Open Financial Exchange the de facto standard for financial reporting and transactions on the Internet. Crumpler received a BS in Economics from the University of California at Los Angeles.
Louis Moynihan, Director, Strategy and Development, Pheedo: A pioneer in RSS advertising, Louis Moynihan is the brains behind Pheedo's most comprehensive and successful integrated RSS marketing campaigns for top-shelf advertisers such as Citrix, Microsoft, and Adobe. Prior to Pheedo, Louis held online media buying and strategy roles at 24/7 Media, Sift Technologies, and, most recently, NetHawk, where he was charged with developing strategic online advertising initiatives and where he spearheaded all online media buying for NetHawk's prestigious list of software clients such as Microsoft, Hyperion, and VeriSign. An early evangelist for Internet marketing, in 1997, Louis managed digital photography for OralB websites and GE websites, which, naturally led to his early involvement in web design best practices. Soon after, he shifted his focus from design to outreach, this driving traffic to websites once they'd been published. He is an early pioneer in exploring RSS advertising as a viable option. In 2003, he was one of the first to discuss, and conduct, a successful RSS ad campaign.
Paul Bowlin, Regional Sales Director, SpotXchange: Paul brings over two decades of expertise in traditional and interactive advertising sales to Booyah. As the director of the companys New York office he manages relationships with the East Coast advertising community for the SpotXchange division. His responsibilities include building awareness and acceptance in the advertising community for buying/selling online video advertising in the SpotXchange self-service marketplace. His focus also includes working with the industry to establish best practices for effective online video advertising methods. Paul is actively involved in the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB), lending his knowledge and experience to the Digital Video Audience Measurement and the Ad Sizes task forces. Before joining Booyah, Paul was a director of sales at BrightSpot. His experience includes working with innovative broadband advertising companies including broadcast.com (now part of Yahoo), Lightningcast, and FMiTV Networks. Paul graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Business Administration from Nasson College.
Marissa Gluck, Founder and Managing Partner, Radar Research: Marissa Gluck is a writer, speaker and consultant covering the marketing and media industries. Named one of the ten "Thought Leaders of 2000" by Hub Magazine, Gluck has often been quoted in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age and Business Week. Additionally, she has appeared on CNBC, CBS Marketwatch, CNNfn, and NPR. Gluck has spoken at major industry conferences in the United States and Europe including AAAAANA e-business Conference and Trade Show, AD:TECH, and JupiterCannes Lions Global Advertising Forum. She has also addressed several university audiences and professional organizations, including USC's Annenberg School of Communication, NYU's Stern School of Business, and the IAB. Gluck was formerly a senior analyst at Jupiter Research, where she advised clients including Interpublic, Doubleclick, CBS, AOL Time Warner, and WPP on online advertising and marketing. Prior to joining Jupiter, Gluck was the research and emerging technologies specialist at i-traffic, providing strategic analysis and oversight of partnerships for clients such as Eddie Bauer, CDnow and Disney. Before that, she worked in account management at the advertising firm Ammirati Puris Lintas (now Lowe). Gluck earned her bachelors from Binghamton University and two masters degrees in global media and communication from the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California
