Greg Schoeny, Director of Video & Entertainment, Cincinnati Bell Inc. Greg is responsible for IPTV strategy & development, DIRECTV, and multi-platform video distribution for Cincinnati Bell Inc. In this role, Greg develops and executes Cincinnati Bell’s entertainment, integrated communications, and video bundling strategy. Greg has over 10 years experience as a leader in the new media, digital entertainment and multichannel video industries. Prior to Cincinnati Bell, Greg served as the Director of New Media & Interactive Television for On Command Corp. (Liberty Media). On Command is one the largest providers of broadband, VOD, and cable services to hotels & resorts worldwide. Prior to this, Greg was a co-founder of HotelNet.com, the first guest service travel portal for the hospitality industry. Greg is a frequent speaker at multichannel video, Internet, and telecommunications conferences. Greg has a BA in Political Science from Colorado State University, and an MBA from the Daniels College of Business at the University of Denver.




Franz Kurath, director of Business Development, AT&T Operations: Franz Kurath is involved in business development activities for AT&T consumer video products. He has extensive background in both traditional and new media with more than 10 years of studio, network and service provider experience. At AT&T, Mr. Kurath is responsible for identifying new opportunities in advertising, measurement and on-demand content. Prior to joining AT&T, Mr. Kurath spent six years at The WB Television Network, where he was responsible for managing the on-air design and new media groups. During his tenure at the network, Mr. Kurath was responsible for developing the network’s on-air brand image nationally. He also developed the network’s consumer Internet sites and produced a number of interactive television applications. Before his position at The WB, Mr. Kurath produced 3D animation segments for the television series “The Real Adventures of Jonny Quest” for Hanna-Barbera. Mr. Kurath also spent three years at Paramount Pictures producing broadcast material for Paramount Television and UPN. Before becoming involved with television production, Mr. Kurath worked for four years at Chiat/Day Inc. Advertising. Mr. Kurath received his B.S. in Engineering Physics from the University of Arizona and his M.B.A. from the University of Michigan.

Patrick McLean, Vice-President, Marketing, Consumer Internet Services, Bell Canada: In his role as Vice-President, Marketing for Bell Canada’s Consumer Internet Services organization, Patrick is accountable for driving the marketing strategy for Canada’s largest leading provider of Broadband Services. His team executes all pricing, promotion and channel activities for Bell’s consumer internet services and works closely with the broader Bell residential services organization on multi-product marketing programs. Since joining Bell in 2001, he has held a number of roles in product management and marketing for Bell Sympatico. He has been accountable for driving the extensive value-added services program as well as overseeing Sympatico’s consumer partnership with Microsoft which includes the delivery and marketing of joint services, such as MSN Premium, email and Sympatico.MSN.ca, Canada’s leading internet portal. Prior to joining Bell Canada, Patrick held leadership positions at early stage tech companies including Venngo Inc., a SMB software company, where he was the VP, Business Development and head of the sales, marketing and product groups. Previously, he was also Director, New Business Development, at SEE Inc., a private venture capital firm where he was accountable for expanding the company’s Internet and communications portfolio. While at SEEI, he launched the CE-Network - an online education service for professionals. Patrick holds a MBA from the University of Toronto and a Bachelor of Commerce degree from Queen’s University. A lover of theatre and an avid golfer, hockey and squash player, Patrick lives in Toronto and is happily married to Kelly, a Toronto-based lawyer.

Rob Pait, Director, Global Consumer Electronics Marketing, Seagate Technology: Seagate Technology is the world’s leading provider of hard disc drive technology. Rob is responsible for developing and managing Seagate's global marketing portfolio in fast-growing emerging market segments such as digital video recorders (DVRs), handheld media and navigation products, and automotive entertainment systems. Rob joined Seagate in 1999 following marketing management roles at Compaq Computer Corporation, Lexis-Nexis.com, and as a consultant to Internet businesses. Prior to his involvement in the technology sector, Rob worked in broadcast production and performance for ten years. During this time he experienced the dawn of the digital age in broadcasting while making the transition from splicing tape to working with the first nonlinear A/V editing systems as a radio/TV production. Rob has also been an on-air personality for radio stations, announcer for several professional sports teams, and a creative manager in the advertising business. He lives in Fort Collins, Colorado, USA with his wife, three teenage children, and far too many gadgets.

Ann Marie Vega, Managing Principal, Global Network Services, Services Business Group, Alcatel-Lucent: Ann Marie Vega brings more than 20 years of experience to her position of Managing Principal, Global Network Services, in which role she is responsible for driving the growth of the largest consulting practice in Alcatel-Lucent's Services Business Group. Ms. Vega draws on her experience in product and market management, strategy, and global practice management to develop consulting services, guide global investments in research and development with a focus on market trends, new service provider business models, and business transformation. Ms. Vega began her telecommunications career when she joined AT&T Network Systems in 1985, subsequently holding positions in product management, sales, and customer support. Following the AT&T divestiture of Lucent in 1996, she joined Lucent Worldwide Services (LWS) to lead the team that developed the LWS Network Integration Services portfolio. She also led the team that created an optical network consulting services business; supervised the product management and marketing operations for the LWS Network Integration and Migration consulting services; and helped develop a consulting services strategy. Ann Marie Vega holds a bachelor of science degree in business administration from the University of Massachusetts and a master of business administration from Babson College. She currently serves as an adjunct professor in the Marketing Department at the University of New Hampshire.

Jonathan Hurd joined Altman Vilandrie & Company in 2006. He has more than 20 years of consulting and industry experience in communications, media and related technology sectors. Jonathan’s primary areas of expertise include business and marketing strategy, new business creation and launch, integrated consumer and business services, and customer and sales channel segmentation and targeting. Jonathan’s experience in the IPTV realm includes customer targeting, partner evaluation, demand modeling, and business case development. With unique insight into competitive trends and consumer perceptions about content and communications services, Jonathan works with clients to develop differentiated video strategies. Jonathan’s extensive marketing background enables him to recommend product and marketing strategies that resonate with target audiences as IP-delivered video moves towards broad adoption. Prior to joining Altman Vilandrie & Company, Jonathan was a Vice President with ADVENTIS. Before that, he was a Partner in the Communication, Information and Entertainment practice of Mercer Management Consulting. Jonathan has also served as Vice President of Marketing for a computer peripherals manufacturer, and has held marketing and strategic planning positions at Lotus Development Corporation. In addition, he has served as a software development product manager in industries including financial services, computer peripherals, video game development and management consulting. Jonathan earned a B.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from M.I.T., and an M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
