John Caplan
is President and Chief Operating Officer of Ford Models. He joined the agency in September of 2002 with the charge to expand Ford’s worldwide operations. Since his arrival, he has successfully grown the firm’s business, integrated acquired agencies, expanded Ford’s Artist divisions and launched Ford Models 360, Ford’s content and event business. During the technology boom of the late 1990’s Caplan was an integral part of About.com, where he ultimately served as president of the About Network before leaving in 2001. During his tenure at About, he presided over the 5th most trafficked web property, orchestrated a series of strategic acquisitions for the brand, sparked growth reaching $100 million in revenue, and executed the integration of About into Primedia, after they acquired About for $500 million October 2000. Caplan’s early experience includes leading the strategic development and marketing for the launch of the Arizona Iced Tea brand and overseeing regional marketing for Starbucks Coffee Company. Caplan is also a member of the Young Presidents Organization and the founder of Citizen Table, a New York City Community salon series.

Brent Weinstein, Head of Digital Media, United Talent Agency: Brent Weinstein is Head of the Digital Media at United Talent Agency, a leading talent and literary agency based in Beverly Hills, CA. Weinstein bridges the gap between agency clients and various forms of new media including interactive games, broadband, and mobile. Weinstein, along with a team of dedicated digital media agents, identifies and evaluates opportunities for the agency's actors, writers, directors, producers, and recording artists, in addition to numerous business-to-business and consumer-oriented technology and corporate clients. Weinstein also co-established and currently oversees the agency’s dedicated internet division, UTA Online, the first practice of its kind among full-service talent agencies. Prior to joining UTA in 2001, Weinstein practiced corporate law in Los Angeles and Irvine, California. He is a graduate of the University of Southern California where he earned a Bachelors degree in Business Administration, and also the University of San Diego School of Law.

Jane Hu, Vuguru / Tornante: Jane Hu heads the business side of Vuguru, the new media studio founded by Michael Eisner's The Tornante Company. At Vuguru, she manages the strategy, business development, marketing, distribution, and advertising for high-quality content produced specifically for new media platforms. Vuguru's inaugural show, Prom Queen, approaches its final episode on June 20th after a successful 80-episode run. Jane has been working at Tornante since its inception in October 2005, investing in and incubating early stage media companies. Prior to joining Tornante, Jane worked in Corporate Strategic Planning at Disney, and she received a Masters and Bachelors from Stanford University.






Drew Reifenberger is senior vice president and general manager of SUPER DELUXE, Turner Broadcasting’s broadband network featuring high-quality, exclusive, originally produced comedy combined with interactive online-community tools. He is based in Atlanta and reports to Stuart Snyder, executive vice president and chief operating officer for Turner Broadcasting’s Animation, Young Adults & Kids Media division. Prior to heading up SUPER DELUXE, Reifenberger served as executive vice president of Turner Sports Program Planning, Acquisitions and Interactive. In this capacity, Reifenberger oversaw all business planning, rights negotiations and sports programming development across all television and new media platforms. In addition, Reifenberger oversaw Turner Sports’ highly successful Interactive group, which includes NASCAR.com and PGA.com. The group was created to develop new interactive media companies in partnership with major sports intellectual property owners. Previously, Reifenberger was senior vice president of Global Client Solutions, where he focused on maximizing the value of the Time Warner portfolio of assets by leveraging its relevant media to deliver successful media and marketing solutions to world-class clients. Working beyond the traditional sales model and developing larger, strategic partnerships, Reifenberger was responsible for the largest transaction with a single client as well as the deal with the most Time Warner properties represented in a single transaction, in the history of Time Warner. Reifenberger began his tenure with Turner Broadcasting Systems, Inc. in the Turner Sports division. As vice president of sports marketing, Reifenberger was responsible for managing the marketing, business development, special events, sales support and cross utilization of company assets between the Turner Networks and Turner Sports partners. In addition, Reifenberger coordinated the company’s successful bid to acquire the Atlanta Thrashers, the NHL’s 28th franchise. Reifenberger joined Turner Sports in 1990 as director of sports marketing. Before joining Turner Sports, Reifenberger worked in The Strategic Group where he served as account supervisor and head of the golf and event management divisions. For the five years prior to joining The Strategic Group, he was involved in developing and executing marketing programs for the Coca-Cola Company in international sports and events.

Kourosh Taj, Co-President and Head of Programming, NO GOOD TV (NGTV): Kourosh Taj serves as Co-President and Head of Programming for NO GOOD TV (NGTV). He was elected to the company’s board of directors at its inception in 2000. For the last seven years, Mr. Taj has led NGTV programming, talent acquisition, production, business development, content licensing from studio and record labels, as well acting as the creative director and development director of the NGTV premium channel. Mr. Taj has been in the music and entertainment industry for over 14 years holding various positions in television production, development, licensing, talent booking and operations. Prior to co-founding NGTV, Mr. Taj held the position of Executive Vice President of MusiTopia and spearheaded the creative components and development of a landmark music theme park project for the re-use of the old Atlantic City Convention Center.





Tim Shey is a founder of Next New Networks and Vice President of Network Development, responsible for the creative development of networks and programming for the company. Tim has been a creative executive in interactive and mobile media for over a decade, working widely in emerging media including interactive television, mobile entertainment, and social networking. In 1996, Tim co-founded Proteus, a pioneering interactive agency and mobile content company, where he was responsible for the first-ever interactive television broadcast in the U.S. using mobile phones during FOX’s Super Bowl XXXVI, co-produced four seasons of interactive TV for FOX Sports’ MLB, NFL, and NASCAR broadcasts, and developed numerous other innovative projects including network-wide mobile content offerings for HBO, ABC and FOX. His ten years' interactive work as a creative director included major campaigns for clients including Sony, The Washington Post-Newsweek, ExxonMobil, and Motorola, among others. After Proteus’ acquisition in 2004, Tim consulted for a number of organizations on their interactive strategies, and produced original content for the web and mobile devices, including AMANDA ACROSS AMERICA, with Amanda Congdon, the first ever videoblog to launch with sponsorships from day one.
