The Entertainment Technology Center at the University of Southern California (ETC@USC) is a neutral, non-partisan organization in the School of Cinematic Arts that focuses on entertainment technology developments that are critical to the creative community, production companies, content owners, distributors and exhibitors, and technology companies.

The ETC provides
the entertainment and technology industries with a vehicle to see and understand user experiences in emerging technological environments, and a forum in which they can discuss how to work together to solve common problems in delivering entertainment to those consumers.

To study technological
and sociological implications of providing content to consumers who desire it at any time and any place, ETC@USC is building the state-of-the-art Digital Content Center, where the industry can explore how consumers will interact with high-quality entertainment in an integrated environment.

ETC@USC's sponsors
include USC-School of Cinematic Arts; Hollywood’s major studios: NBC-Universal, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Twentieth Century Fox, Viacom/Paramount Studios, The Walt Disney Company and Warner Bros.; Lucasfilm Ltd.; Cisco; Deluxe Entertainment Services Group, Inc; and Thomson.
