Michelle A. Nowak, Vice President - Product Management, Broadband Communications & Media Division, Amdocs: Backed by a global team of product management professionals, Michelle is responsible for leading the strategic direction, business functional contents, and requirements for Amdocs convergence solutions for cable and satellite. Michelle has broad product and program management experience in the broadband, cable, satellite and telecommunications industries. She joined Amdocs with the DST Innovis acquisition, which was completed in July 2005. Prior to joining DST Innovis in 2002, Michelle co-founded Info Directions Inc., an enterprise billing and customer care software development organization for the converged communications marketplace. She is recognized as an industry and product evangelist, and is a sought-after thought-leader for speaking engagements and trade publications. Michelle attended the State University College at Buffalo, majoring in business administration, and the Bryant and Stratton Business Institute, majoring in computer programming. She is a member of the Product Management Association, Project Management Institute, Women in Cable and Telecommunications, and Cable and Telecommunications Marketing Association. She is based in Charlotte, N.C.

Robert Carney, Senior Director, Media and Entertainment, FAST Search & Transfer.: At FAST, Rob works with strategic partners in the media, entertainment, and communications industry, with a particular emphasis on monetization strategies. Over the past decade, Rob has helped major companies and new media startups create new business models based on innovative technology. Before FAST, he was a founder and Vice President of Sales and Marketing at Peppercoin, an innovative electronic payments company. Previously, he ran a video-conferencing software company, and prior to that, was a founder of Adero, a pioneering Web content delivery network, where he served as Vice President of Carrier Partnerships. Rob has an MBA from MIT’s Sloan School of Management, and a bachelor’s degree from Harvard.

Gary Southwell, General Manager, IPTV, IPG, Juniper Networks: Mr. Southwell is a 20-year networking industry veteran. He is responsible for the overall business, which claims significant deployments in the top two, and five of the top 10, IPTV production networks to date. Prior to Juniper, Mr. Southwell was vice president of solutions development at Ciena, responsible for driving solutions in the enterprise and service provider markets, including developing and launching Ciena's IPTV solution. Mr. Southwell came to Ciena via its acquisition of Internet Photonics, where he served as vice president of marketing and product development.









Bill Dyer is currently responsible for Alcatel’s Mobile Solutions Marketing and Business Support in North America. In this role Mr. Dyer is responsible for growing Alcatel’s mobile market share in North America through Alcatel’s rich mobile portfolio and strategic partnerships. Alcatel’s mobile portfolio includes NGN mobile switching, UMA, IMS, WiMAX and mobile applications including mobile music and video, payment, ring-back-tones and messaging. Prior to this position, Mr. Dyer ran Alcatel’s Mobile Application Business Unit in North America and held various previous positions within Alcatel where he spent five years deploying Internet technologies, including Interactive TV and video on demand, for broadband and wireless ISPs across Europe. Prior to joining Alcatel, Mr. Dyer worked as an independent consultant for the U.S. Government, international companies, and educational institutions in the use and implementation of Internet technologies. Mr. Dyer has been involved with the Internet since 1989 and deployed some of the first web services in the world, for which he was awarded the USA Federal Technology Award.

Morgan Guenther, Chairman and Chief Executive Officer of Airplay Network, Inc.: Prior to AirPlay, Morgan served as President of TiVo, a position he held from 2001 - 2003, where he was responsible for the company’s consumer service and technology licensing businesses. Between 1999 and 2001, Morgan was a Vice President and Senior Vice President at Tivo, with overall responsibility for the Company’s commercial and strategic deals, including alliances with partners in the satellite, cable, consumer electronics, technology development and broadband spaces. Additionally he oversaw the TiVo Entertainment Group and TiVo Studios business units, with responsibility for the Company’s advertising, commerce, content delivery, audience measurement and other service related revenue streams. Morgan holds J.D. and B.A. degrees from the University of Colorado and an M.B.A. from the University of San Francisco. He also serves on the boards of directors of Integral Development, a provider of internet based electronic trading systems, Avvenu, a leading provider of media routing and managed peer-to-peer content distribution technology, and Tier Technologies, a financial transaction processing and system integration services company.

Dr. Qiang Li is the Chief Scientist of UTStarcom, Inc. and the Chief Architect of UTStarcom’s IPTV RollingStream product line. Dr. Li was a co-founder and CTO of RollingStreams Systems, which was acquired by UTStarcom in July, 2003. Prior to RollingStreams, from 1997 to 2000, Dr. Li served as the Chief Technologist for Creative Design Solutions, a start-up company working on network storage systems. The company was acquired by Maxtor in 2000. Dr. Li founded the Local Area MultiProcessor Trade Association (LAMP) in 1992, and served as its Chairman for 5 years. The organization coordinated standardization and productization of Scalable Coherent Interface (SCI, IEEE P1596). SCI connects a large number of processors with 1 GB/sec bandwidth and cache coherence. The organization had more than 30 companies as members, including IBM, Apple, HP, JPL, and Fujitsu, as well as a number of universities. Dr. Li received his BS in electrical engineering from Xi'an Jiaotong University, China, and MS and Ph.D. in computer science from Florida International University.

Michelle Abraham, Principal Analyst, In-Stat: Ms. Abraham is a Principal Analyst for In-Stat's Converging Markets & Technologies Group. Before joining In-Stat in 1996, she worked for several years as a manager for an inbound call center operation. Ms. Abraham's specific areas of research include Video Delivery by Telephone Companies, the Direct Broadcast Satellite industry, Digital Television, DVD, and MPEG ICs. Ms. Abraham has contributed industry commentary to many technical and business publications including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Business Week, EETimes, and Electronic News. She has been a speaker at industry conferences such as Supercomm, CES, TelcoTV, and Digital Hollywood. Ms. Abraham has appeared on ABC's Business Now TV program as well as TechTV. Ms. Abraham has also contributed articles to industry publications, including Electronic News and TWICE. She completed her BA in Economics at the University of Michigan. Ms. Abraham received her MBA from Arizona State University.
