With the attention of the consumer being assaulted by a host of great technologies from games and broadband to PRVs - devices as well as content programming, the task of the client, the agency and content provider raising their message above the clutter is daunting. With every challenge, however there exists the opportunity to reinvent the process, and in the evolving world of branded media marketing, the creativity at hand is impressive. The industrys TV, music, wireless, film and broadband marketing teams are reinventing the world of entertainment, branding and marketing. Guy Borgford, Senior Marketing Director, Advertising Sales, RealNetworks: Mr. Borgford joined Reals Advertising Sales group in 2000, and has specialized in interactive media and client creative strategy for close to 15 years. During his tenure at Real, he has developed integrated sponsorship programs for some of the worlds biggest entertainment brands, including Fox, Sony Pictures, History Channel, HBO, Paramount Pictures, BVHE, NBC and The Travel Channel, to name a few. Mr. Borgford always attempts to drive the bigger picture and leverage clients interactive strategy to better optimize activities in all marketing channels. Prior to joining Real, Mr. Borgford held various creative positions in traditional advertising, web development, software development, interactive POP and public relations.
Steve Livingston, Chief Marketing Officer, mBlox: Steve Livingston is the chief mar keting officer for mBlox and is responsible for driving mBloxs position as global mobile industry leader. In this role Livingston will develop mBloxs market leadership in the U.S., Europe and Southeast Asia, and enhance its visibility in meeting the growing needs of mobile businesses worldwide. Livingston has more than 25 years of marketing experience having held senior level positions with Bytemobile, Inc., AT&T Wireless, Cellular One and IBM. While with Bytemobile, Livingston held the position of executive vice president of worldwide marketing, sales, business development and customer operations where he to helped build the company into the worlds leading provider of data optimization solutions for mobile networks. Livingston holds a B.S. degree in business from the University of California, Berkeley.
Neil McGinness is Vice President of Entertainment and Comedy for IMG Media, a division of IMG, the world's premier sports, entertainment and media Company. IMG Media produces and distributes over 10,000 hours of sports, documentary, drama, comedy, entertainment, popular factual and children's content annually, over multiple platforms across 200 countries, including award-winning television and radio programming. It also represents the broadcast rights to many of the world's premier sporting events and has the world's biggest sports archive with more than 200,000 hours of footage. McGinness was previously Vice President of National Lampoon and General Manager of National Lampoon Mobile. Prior to National Lampoon, he also served as Vice President of Marketing and Business Development for Lorne Michaels' production company, Broadway Video Entertainment, the production company for television shows such as "Saturday Night Live" and "Late Night with Conan O'Brien" as well as motion pictures such as "Wayne's World." McGinness received a Bachelor of Arts in Classics and English from Georgetown University and a Master's Degree from NYU's Institute of Film and Television.
Michael Sepso, co-founder and Chairman, Major League Gaming: Mike co-founded M LG with Sundance DiGiovanni in 2002 with a vision to bring the excitement and passion of professional video game play to a broad global audience. As Chairman of Major League Gaming, Mikes focus is on strategic media deals and cementing MLGs position as the dominant global professional video game league. Prior to co-founding MLG, Mike was co-founder and co-CEO of Gotham Broadband, an early innovator in the broadband content and delivery industry. He managed the broadband strategy for several key clients and media partners including Sprint, Hughes Electronics, DirecTV, Cablevision, and AOL Time Warner in the U.S., and British Telecom, UPC Chello, and KNRW (Deutsche Telekom) in Europe. Before Gotham Broadband, he was a media and entertainment consultant for companies like Pearson Television, Miramax Films, and Apple Computer. Mike graduated with a BS in management from Babson College.
Andrea Gingold is Vice President of Marketing at Screenvision, based out of the companys New York City headquarters. Screenvision is the world's foremost cinema advertising company, offering on-screen advertising, in-lobby promotions and integrated marketing programs to national, regional and local advertisers and providing comprehensive cinema advertising representation services for its theatrical exhibitor partners. Andrea is responsible for producing Screenvisions digital cinema preshow which includes custom branded entertainment and product integration solutions for advertisers. Gingold has over 15 years experience in marketing at media industry leaders such as Nickelodeon, Meredith Corporation and Marvel Entertainment. Gingold holds a Bachelor of Science in Business & Communications from the State University of New York at Albany and an MBA from City University of New York, Baruch College.
Chris Petrovic, VP, Business Development, Playboy Entertainment Group: Mr. Petrovic is a new media veteran, having started his career in the Internet marketplace in the late 90s. He has held executive management positions in a variety of corporate settings, from start-ups to publicly traded companies to venture capital firms. Petrovic currently serves as Vice President of Business Development, Digital Media for Playboy Entertainment Group. In this role, he is responsible for business development initiatives all divisions of the Entertainment Group including Playboy Mobile, Playboy Online and Playboy TV. Before joining Playboy, Mr. Petrovic served as Vice President of Business Development for AG Interactive, the new media division of American Greetings. Petrovic oversaw all business development efforts across all three of the divisions business units mobile (both domestic and international), Internet and instant messenger. Petrovic joined AG Interactive from theglobe.com, where he served as Vice President of Strategy and Business Development and was responsible for developing and growing the companys consumer VoIP offering (Voiceglo) as well as its print media business (Computer Games Magazine). Petrovic is a graduate of Columbia University in New York and holds a J.D. from Southwestern University School of Law in Los Angeles. He began his new media career as CEO of BannerGreetings.com, an Internet start-up, and from there went on to become COO and General Counsel of Buzztone, a leading viral marketing agency, before joining the venture capital firm Prime Ventures as their VP of Business and Legal Affairs, managing the business development and legal operations of its portfolio companies, including most notably drkoop.com. Petrovic is based in Playboys Los Angeles office.
David Getson is co-Founder, CEO, and Board Member of g-NET Media, Inc., Americas leading videogame entertainment and marketing company. Getson focuses on the direction and growth of the company, which specializes in the creation and distribution of game-related programming and content across all platforms, including TV, VOD, Web, and DVD. With partners that include all leading game companies such as Microsoft, Sony, EA, & Ubisoft, as well as the largest entertainment companies such as Viacom, AOL/Time Warner, NBCU, and Rainbow Media, Getson & g-NET have helped pioneer the way videogames can extend their IP and expand their audience through branded content, entertainment-marketing, and strategic cross-platform partnerships. Prior to g-NET, Getson was the Founder, CEO, Publisher, and Editorial Director of ICON Magazine. Getson graduated cum laude from Princeton University in 1994 with a BA as an Academic All-American.
