Martin Dunsby, President and CEO of Vollee: Martin is President and CEO of Volle e, the 3G streaming games provider. Martin has been involved in the telecommunications industry as an engineer, consultant, and executive since the early days of analog cellular systems and the Internet, and works closely with leading mobile operators and content publishers around the world to enable them to launch innovative, high value 3G services to drive their business success. Martin joined Vollee from mobile solutions provider Openwave Systems, formerly known as phone.com, where he served as General Manager and Senior Vice President. Previously Martin was Vice President of Sales and Operations for engineering consultancy inCode Wireless, and at Deloitte Consulting he was the Partner who founded and led Deloittes Global Wireless Practice. Martin has also held positions with AAC, Cellular One, and GTE MobileCom. Martin has a BA/MA from Oxford University, England, is a member of IEEE and ACM, and is a widely quoted industry commentator and analyst.
Tyler Goldman, Chief Executive Officer, Buzznet: Tyler Goldman brings a wealth of experience launching and heading up innovative entertainment and technology companies to Buzznet. Prior to joining the company, Goldman served as a board member and acting President of Feedster, an RSS Search Engine. From 2002 to 2005, Goldman was Senior Vice President, Business and Corporate Development at Movielink, a joint venture among Warner Bros. Studios, Paramount Pictures, Universal Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment and MGM, for the digital distribution of video content. In this role, he was responsible for guiding the corporate growth of Movielink, including all of its strategic partnerships with companies like Time Warner Cable, Charter Communications, Intel, AT&T and AOL. In 1998, Goldman founded Broadband Sports, Inc. (BSS), a pioneering Internet publisher and syndicator of sports content, which was funded by leading venture capital, technology and media companies, including DirecTV and Clear Channel Communications. As CEO and President, Goldman built a team of 300 and was responsible for the company's $20+ million in sales and was instrumental in developing partnerships with a network of distributors across satellite, cable and Internet platforms, including DirecTV, Fox Sports, Yahoo!, ESPN, AOL and eBay. Prior to BBS, Goldman was one of five members of Steinberg & Moorad, the country's preeminent sports law firm, where he led the firm's media and investment initiatives. He was also an attorney at Wilson, Sonsini, Goodrich & Rosati, where he focused on corporate matters for venture capital firms and high-tech companies. Goldman holds an M.B.A. from the Kellogg Graduate School of Business, Northwestern University, where he received the Dean's Award for finishing first in his class, a J.D. from Northwestern University School of Law and a B.A. from Dartmouth College. Goldman currently resides in Los Angeles with his family.
Tim Stevens is President and CEO of Doppelganger, Inc., an online entertainment company. Doppelganger is at the forefront of an entertainment revolution, producing virtual world environments that bring together music, popular culture, self-expression, communication, community and social networking in ways never seen before. Stevens is a seasoned executive with extensive experience in the Internet, advertising, content, discovery, intellectual property and software industries, bringing a mixture of capabilities together to lead the revolution. He has served as a senior executive officer, board member and strategic advisor at a number of private and public companies, including Inktomi Corporation, Borland Software Corporation, Fios, Inc., Bazaar Advertising Solutions, Tumri, Inc. and 3VR, Inc. Stevens holds BS degrees in both Finance and Management from the University of Oregon, and a JD degree from the University of California, Davis.
Chris Brown, CEO and President, Metabeam: Entertainment technology pioneer a nd award-winning DVD artist Chris Brown co-founded Metabeam in 2005. He established his reputation during his 15 years in working with digital media, particularly at the intersection where Hollywood content meets the World Wide Web. In 1995, Chris co-founded InterActual Technologies, Inc. (www.interactual.com), which went on to produce the technology standard for enhanced DVD-ROM. Chris served as both Hollywood Evangelist and Executive Creative Director, and helped successfully launch VideoSaver, PCFriendly and InterActual Player. In 2004, InterActual was acquired by digital media leader Sonic Solutions (NASDAQ-SNIC - www.sonic.com). Known for his innovative vision, Chris specializes in bringing fans closer to artists through technology. Chris received a Discus Award for his work on The Matrix Virtual Theater, blending group DVD screenings with live chat interview of film directors and crew. Chris enjoys the distinction of having the only DVD-ROM feature ever nominated for a DVD Exclusive Award: Terminator 2 Extreme Effects Studio, which enabled users to input their own pictures, then use actual film assets and effects to generate "cyborg" or "liquid metal" versions. Chris has contributed to many entertainment franchises including Austin Powers, Harry Potter, Jurassic Park, Paul McCartney, Pirates of the Caribbean, Star Wars, Spider-Man, Shrek and many others. Chris currently serves as Marketing Chair for the Media Experience Trade Association (www.mediaexperience.org). He has served the industry as a frequent event panelist, and was charter member of the Content Committee for the Digital Entertainment Group (www.dvdinformation.com).
Justin Jarvinen, age 35, is currently CEO and founder of VerveLife, a top digital media agency that creates customized online media consumer experiences for global brands. Justin, recently named one of the 40 most influential entrepreneurs under 40 by American Venture Magazine, graduated with an Economics degree from Northwestern University and has since been developing innovative technologies and business models which leverage various medias as a means to engage consumer interaction and insure brand loyalty. Justin has become a sought after speaker on matters of innovation, entrepreneurship and marketing, often presenting his experiences and successes in financial modeling, social networking, as well as digital media and entertainment. Justin actively consults senior executives and entrepreneurs who are looking to launch their own companies, as well as large global corporations looking to venture into new areas of business. Currently Justin is spearheading several major projects, including Photo.com, of which he is co-Founder and interim CEO, as well as other entertainment, music technology and social networking ventures.
David Gosen, CEO, I-Play: David Gosen is CEO of successful independent mobile game developer and publisher I-Play, which has recently found success with licensed games based on the 24 television franchise and the 2006 Winter Olympic Games. I-Play's game sales are consistently among the top five in both Europe, where the company originally hails and the United States, where it has just launched a development studio.
Howard Greenfield is president of Go Associates, a global consulting firm that helps companies bring technology to the marketplace and author of IPTV and Internet Video (Focal Press / Elsevier, April 2007). He is a digital media and business development strategist as well as an accomplished columnist, widely published around the world. Howard has held senior management and consulting positions with Sun Microsystems, Informix Software, British Telecom and Apple Computer. He was the creator and leader of Sun's first Media Lab and completed graduate studies at Stanford University. For the last two decades, Howard has been a successful technology developer, manager, educator and writer. In addition to front-line collaborative development ventures with Xerox PARC, Ericsson and the American Film Institute, he has held leadership roles involving early stage start-up companies and mature corporations, three of which were subsequently acquired by Ariba, IBM and Microsoft. Howard has presented and moderated at conferences throughout Silicon Valley, Europe, and Asia. He has served on government and cultural advisory boards such as the State of California, UK Trade & Invest, CNET and others. He also worked in the Apple Classroom of Tomorrow research and development, and is currently a board member of BlueVoice.org, an Internet media non-profit dedicated to protecting ocean life and habitats.
Nicholas Reichenbach, Vice President, Bplay: Nicholas Reichenbach has over ten years of experience in the music, media, technology, games and entertainment industries. He has successfully brokered international partnerships with companies such as MTV, Universal Music, Sony/BMG, THQ wireless, Handson Mobile (Mforma), Glu Mobile and Nokia through various projects ranging from digital asset management, IP licensing, and B2B/D2C mobile content distribution/publishing to integrated 360° marketing campaigns directed at mass market product exposure. As Vice President of BPlay, a division of Magmic Games, Nicholas helps drive the overall strategy for the company and heads the publishing and licensing agreement negotiations for mobile entertainment rights with the industrys top publishers including Sony Pictures, THQ wireless, Hands-on Mobile (Mforma), Glu Mobile and Popcap, as well as all major music labels. He is responsible for launching the worlds largest direct to customer (D2C) BlackBerry entertainment portal (<http://www.bplay.com/>www.bplay.com) which houses top mobile content exclusively for BlackBerry users worldwide. Previously, Nicholas worked in Europe for Gamefederation and Gulp Media, as Director of International Business Development. As such, Nicholas created and executed D2C cross-pollination (360°) campaigns for mobile communities totaling 14 million members in Europe and spear-headed mobile music licensing initiatives with companies such as Hewlett Packard (mobile services), MTV, Motorola, T-mobile, among others.
