Dr. Ken Morse, Vice President Client Architecture, Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company: During the more than 20 years Dr. Ken Morse has been involved in software development, he has co-founded four companies. In his current role as Vice President, Client Architectures with Scientific Atlanta, a Cisco Company, Dr. Morse is responsible for ensuring that the company maintains its digital cable solutions leadership position by driving the architecture and direction of digital set-top platforms and for the technical and product direction of the company. Prior to joining Scientific-Atlanta, Dr. Morse was a founder and the CTO of PowerTV, Inc., now part of Scientific-Atlanta. Here he and his team, along with their set-top partners, brought the first IP-based digital interactive television system to the mass market, providing the software platform and services for over 10 million digital interactive set-tops in North America today. Prior to working at PowerTV, Dr. Morse was a member of the team that developed the first Hardware Reference Platform for Multi-media consumer electronics devices at Kaleida Labs, an Apple-IBM joint venture. Dr. Morse was also a founder of Ultra Digital Systems and MTL where he developed DSP Development systems and video compression schemes for PC multi-media applications. Dr. Morse’s first foray into business was in 1981 when he received a Commodore Vic-20 and founded a company offering fast loaders and encryption schemes to the software duplicating industry. He attended the University of Liverpool and holds a Ph.D in Electronic Engineering and a B.Eng in Electronic Engineering. He is a member of Institute of Electrical and Electronics Engineers, Association for Computing Machinery, and the Society of Cable Telecommunications Engineers.

Mr. Takashi Ishidoshiro, Chief Technology Officer, Melco Holdings, Inc.: Takashi Ishidoshiro is a Chief Technology Officer at Melco Holdings, Inc., and it is a parent company of Buffalo Inc. in Japan and Buffalo Technology in the rest of the world. Mr. Ishidoshiro is responsible for driving the vision of Buffalo’s research and development activities as well as helping coordinate corporate-wide engineering development strategies. Mr. Ishidoshiro has over 20 years of experience in the fields of embedded software development and device drivers. Mr. Ishidoshiro has served as CTO since August 2004. He served as a General Manager of Networking Division from June 2002 until December 2003 and also served as a General Manager of PC Solutions Division from May 1999 until May 2001. He also opened up the first research & development center in the US on April 1997 for Melco Inc., which is currently Buffalo Inc., in Japan. He has joined Melco Inc., in December 1983. Mr. Ishidoshiro is a named inventor in 16 Japanese patents with 39 patent applications as pending today. Mr. Ishidoshiro received a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from Meijo University, in Nagoya, Japan.

Chris Day, General Manager, Media Processing. Philips Semiconductors: Chris Day is general manager of Philips Semiconductors' Advanced Media Processing group, responsible for running the TriMedia media processor business line and leading marketing efforts for connected home applications. Day brings more than 20 years of business and engineering experience to his position at Philips, focusing specifically on digital video for eight of those years. Prior to joining Philips, Day was the senior director of marketing for C-Cube Microsystems, a provider of digital video silicon and systems solutions, where he spearheaded efforts in the PC, Codec and Broadband Network divisions. He also held various sales positions at Motorola over a period of nine years. Day holds a bachelor of science degree in computer and microprocessor systems from Essex University and a master of business administration degree from Santa Clara University.





Dr. Simon Milner, Vice President and General Manager,, Enterprise Business Unit, Communications and Consumer Business Group, Marvell Semiconductor: Dr. Simon Milner joined Marvell Semiconductor, Inc, in 2002, and is the Vice President and General Manager of the Enterprise Business Unit. Previously, he served as Senior Director of Marketing and Director of Technology Strategy in Marvell’s Embedded and Emerging Business Unit. In these roles he helped launch Marvell’s ultra-low power, embedded WiFi modules into the European mobile market and oversaw the introduction of Marvell’s Orion family of System Engines. Dr. Milner has held a variety of positions at Fujitsu Microelectronics and MMC Networks, and was a co-founder of Candlestick Networks. He holds a Bachelors degree from Huddersfield University and a PhD degree in Electrical Engineering from Manchester Metropolitan University in the United Kingdom.




Ron Cates, Vice President, North American Sales & Marketing, Metalink: Mr. Cates joined Metalink as Associate Vice President of Sales and Business Development, assuming his current position in 2005. Mr. Cates has extensive experience in the semiconductor industry, holding various executive-level positions, including Vice President and General Manager of the Broadband Access Business Unit at Conexant Systems and Vice President of World Wide Sales at Peregrine Semiconductor. He holds B.S. and M.S. degrees in Electrical Engineering from the University of California at Los Angeles (UCLA) and an MBA from San Diego State University.




Daniel Putterman is President and CEO of Mediabolic. He founded the company in 1999 and his leadership and vision have driven the company’s success. Prior to Mediabolic, Putterman founded Maximum Information, Inc., the first enterprise Web management solution company, acquired by NetManage (NASDAQ: NETM) in 1996. He went on to co-found EoExchange, a supplier of Internet Research Solutions to vertical portals, one year later. A technology industry veteran, Putterman held senior management positions at Borland International and Symantec Corporation and was responsible for product management, business development and worldwide evangelism.








Jim Hillman is currently VP, Advanced Initiatives for the Audio Entertainment Group of Plantronics. He has over 20 years of experience in providing operational and financial leadership to technology companies. He joined Plantronics in March of this year, working with to drive the Audio Entertainment Initiative. Immediately prior to PLT he was COO of Vesta Corporation in Portland, Oregon (a service provider for stored value instruments) where he architected a particularly successful turn-around. In other former senior executive positions, Jim provided leadership for a successful IPO, and has been responsible for Investor Relations and Merger/Acquisition activities. His professional "sweet spot" is developing and executing strategic, corporate initiatives that maximize shareholder value. Utilizing functional expertise in Operations, International Finance, Accounting, and Information Systems, he has also held Treasury or CFO positions with Mentor Graphics, Summit Design and Labtec, Inc. Mr. Hillman holds an M.B.A. from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School, and a B.S. in Economics from Allegheny College in Meadville, PA. He has also attained CPA accreditation. He currently resides in Portland, Oregon. His leisure pursuits include cycling, backpacking and SCUBA.
