Art Levitt, Partner, Jerusalem Venture Partners: Art Levitt, a leading media industry executive, brings with him with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment and hospitality industries. Most recently, Art served as the president and CEO of Fandango, the premier online movie ticketing and entertainment website. Art launched Fandango in July 2000, and subsequently led the company to maturity, establishing the company as a national brand. From 1996 to 2000, Art served as president of Disney Regional Entertainment, an upstart division responsible for launching entertainment concepts in metropolitan and suburban markets. During his time at Disney Regional Entertainment, Art was responsible for ESPN Zone, DisneyQuest, and Club Disney. Prior to that, Art served as president and CEO of Hard Rock Cafe International and as vice president of resorts and special projects for the Walt Disney Company. Art graduated from Southampton College with a BA in Biology, and completed the Program for Management Development (P.M.D.) at Harvard University.
Jim Jones, Managing Director, Scale Venture Partners: Jim's investment focus is technology infrastructure, from components to systems, enabling enterprise and consumer applications. Jim joined Scale Venture Partners in 2000 and currently sits on the Boards of Discera, Entone, Innovative Micro Technology, NComputing, and Xceive. Jim was also responsible for ScaleVP's investment in Monolithic Power Systems (NASDAQ: MPWR). Prior to Scale Venture Partners, Jim led product management, product marketing and business development groups at 3Com Corporation, where he managed a diverse $1.2 Billion product line. He also spearheaded the company's entry into and market leadership of Fast Ethernet and Gigabit Ethernet solutions as well as its foray into the home networking market. Prior to 3Com, Jim worked in integrated circuit development and marketing with National Semiconductor, focusing on analog, ATM, FDDI, and Ethernet controller and transceiver solutions. Jim holds a BSEE from the University of California, Davis.
David Travers, Partner, Rustic Canyon Partners: David Travers brings technology, media, and national security experience to Rustic Canyon. Prior to joining Rustic Canyon in 2005, David worked at eBay, where he focused on the growth of their sports, toys, collectibles, and media marketplaces. Previously, David worked at The Walt Disney Company, where his duties included evaluating technology and new media venture investment opportunities for Disney as well as helping lead the launch of Disney's credit card business. David also worked at the White House as the Executive Assistant to the National Security Advisor, where he was awarded the Secretary of Defense's Award for Outstanding Public Service. David currently serves on the board of LAs BEST Friends. David received his B.A. from Stanford University and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.
Ajay Chopra, General Partner, Trinity Ventures: Ajay Chopra joined Trinity Ventures in 2006, and is currently focuses on digital media, Internet services and mobility solutions. His active investments are Mobile Messenger, 21 ViaNet, CrowdFlower (Dolores Labs), gWallet, Red Aril, Skyfire, TubeMogul and White Sky. Since joining Trinity Ventures, Ajay has gained a strong reputation as an entrepreneurs coach. His passion is helping entrepreneurs execute their Big Idea. He has over 20 years of operating experience at the senior management and board level with start-ups, private companies and public companies. Prior to joining Trinity Ventures, Ajay co-founded Pinnacle Systems, a seminal media technology company that pioneered consumer generated media creation. During his tenure at Pinnacle, the company grew from start up stage to a global $350M public company, won several Emmy awards and completed over a dozen M&A transactions before being acquired by Avid Technology. Previously, Ajay was with Mindset Corporation, a computer graphics start up. Before Mindset, he held various technical and management positions at Atari Corporation, a video games company, and Unisys Corporation, an IT services company. He is a charter member of The Indus Entrepreneurs, an active group providing support for entrepreneurs and on the Board of Trustees of The Harker School in San Jose. Ajay received his M.S.E.E. from
David Spector, Partner, Sequoia Capital: Dave works with growth stage internet, mobile and technology companies. Prior to joining Sequoia Capital in 2010, Dave held various sales and sales management positions at Google where he was involved in cloud computing, advertising and commerce related areas. Earlier, he held sales and finance roles with IBM and Bear Stearns. Dave has a BA from Tulane University and an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management.
Len Rand, Managing Director, Granite Ventures: Len Rand joined Granite Ventures in May 2002, after spending nearly three decades working inside both public and private companies. As CEO of four private companies, he successfully turned them into public entities through acquisition. Prior to joining Granite, Len was General Manager of Strategic Marketing and Global Alliances for the Intel Communications Group (ICG) at Intel Corporation. Len joined Intel after serving as CEO and Founder of NetBoost Corporation, which was acquired by Intel Corporation in 1999. NetBoost was a developer of network processor silicon, subsystems and software development systems. Granite Ventures was a lead investor in the company. Prior to NetBoost, Len was Co-founder of Internet Middleware, Inc., an Internet proxy caching company acquired by Network Appliance, Inc. in 1997, as well as CEO of The Whitewater Group (acquired by Symantec). Len was also CEO at the Rand Group (acquired by Intergraph Corporation), and was Vice President & General Manager at both Intergraph Corporation and Autodesk, Inc. Len has extensive technical and operational background in the semiconductor and communications industries, and focuses his investments in communications and components companies. He serves on the Boards of Directors for Aspen Avionics, HyTrust, Ozmo Devices, Plato Networks and PowerGenix. Len holds several degrees including a B.S. degree in Building Sciences, a B.S. degree in Engineering, a BArch degree in Architecture, and an M.S. degree in Structural Engineering from the Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute.
