Ravi Mehta serves as VP of product and content for Viximo Studios, a technology start-up company in the virtual goods space. Ravi brings more than 10 years of thorough knowledge and experience in video game production, online game design, software development, and management consulting and digital media. Prior to joining Viximo, Ravi was Chief Operating Officer for Advisor Now, a venture capital backed startup which generates leads for the financial services industry using long tail Paid Search marketing campaigns on Google, Yahoo, and MSN. Before that, Mehta worked at Microsoft on a variety of entertainment initiatives including Xbox Live, several different game titles, and the MSN Gaming Zones retail integration business. Mehta holds an MBA from the MIT Sloan School of Management, where he was a summer consultant at Boston Consulting Group, and a BS in Computer System Engineering from Boston University.
Mike Sitrin, VP of Business Development, Plum: Mike is an experienced business development executive and entrepreneur with over 15 years experience in both early start-ups and large public companies. Prior to Plum, Mike co-founded Grouper a pioneer in the online groups and user generated video space. Grouper (now called Crackle) was sold to Sony Pictures in 2006 where Mike became Vice President of Partnerships. At Crackle, Mike worked closely with the Sony Pictures Televisions and with Sony Electronics on ad sales and new product extensions. Mike was part of the early team at Spinner.com, the first streaming radio company, sold to AOL in 1999. At AOL Mike became Director of Marketing for AOL Music where he worked on the monetization of Spinner, Winamp, and AOL Music. Before moving to the web Mike was General Manager of VeloPress where he successfully launched a book publishing division and merchandise catalog for bicycle enthusiasts.
Tim Schigel, CEO, ShareThis: Tim Schigel was previously a director at Blue Chip Venture Company, an early stage venture firm with $600 million under management. After the successful sale of Advertising.com, Tim teamed up with Dr. David E. Goldberg, distinguished professor in entrepreneurial engineering at University of Illinois, to found ShareThis in November 2007. As CEO of ShareThis, Tim aims to help people discover what matters through a simple, universal sharing network. ShareThis is currently available on more than 100,000 Web sites. At Blue Chip Venture Company, Tim led technology investing for a decade investing in leading companies such as Advertising.com (AOL/TW), Nielsen Buzzmetrics (Nielsen) and Third Screen Media (AOL/TW). Prior to his role at Blue Chip, Tim was a technology entrepreneur and international consultant leading innovative projects for Apple Computer, Hitachi, Hallmark Cards, Motorola and Procter & Gamble. Tim received his Bachelor of Science in electrical engineering from Case Western Reserve University.
Jan D'Alessandro is Vice President, Business Development and General Counsel of The Find, Inc., a venture backed shopping search company based in Mountainview, Ca. TheFind Inc. At TheFind, Jan is responsible for all business development, business and legal affairs, including spearheading distribution, content and advertising partnerships. Jan is a seasoned internet industry executive. She ran West coast business affairs for AOL from 1995 to 2002, where her responsibilities included developing AOL's music strategy, negotiating content, commerce and technology deals and launching the philanthropy portal, networkforgood; and has consulted for many Bay Area media and technology start ups and nonprofits, including Meez, Summer Search and the Just Think Foundation. She lives in San Francisco with her husband, two children and polar lab puppy. Passions include skiing, surfing, film, music, Maine and, of course, her children. She graduated with an AB from Brown University and cum laude with a JD from Georgetown University.
Allen Billings is Director Product Management at MobiTV, a mobile technology company in Emeryville, CA. MobiTV has designed, developed and deployed content and feature-rich applications for mobile including MobiTV, MobiRadio, Mobi4Biz and the recent NCAA Mens College Basketball application for iPhone. In his product management role, Allen leads product strategy, development and management of MobiTVs suite of mobile applications. He has deep experience in this industry, having contributed at Verizon Wireless and AirTouch before joining MobiTV. He was also the co-founder and CEO at Element Mobile, Inc. Allen is an MBA graduate of Cornell University and holds a Masters, Electrical Engineering from University of Utah.
