Lee Brenner, Executive Producer of Political Programming and Director, IMPACT: Lee Brenner is Executive Producer of Political Programming and Director of IMPACT (Public Affairs) at MySpace. Steve Grove, Head of News and Politics, YouTube: Steve Grove is the head of n ews and politics at YouTube where he directs all news and political programming for YouTube. Steve's role at YouTube includes managing You Choose '08, a centralized hub of candidate-created YouTube channels featuring campaign videos, speeches, and originally created content aimed at YouTube users. Steve also runs Citizentube, YouTube's highly popular political vlog, which highlights political content on YouTube and invites discussion and comments national and international politics. Steve also oversees citizen journalism content on the site. Since Steve joined YouTube, the political coverage on YouTube has helped spotlight issues and concerns that are important to the YouTube community. YouTube's goal is to empower and educate voters and candidates to enable a more robust and genuine public dialogue. Originally from Northfield, Minnesota, Steve worked at the Boston Globe and ABC News prior to joining the YouTube. He received a Master's in Public Policy from the Kennedy School of Govt. at Harvard in 2006.
Ari Melber, Journalist, The Nation: Ari Melber is the Net movement correspondent for The Nation magazine, the oldest political weekly in America, and a writer for The Nation's 2008 campaign blog. He is also a columnist for The Politico, a contributing editor at the Personal Democracy Forum, a nonpartisan website covering technologys impact on democracy, and he is currently on the road with the Obama Campaign for the Washington Independent. Melber served as a Legislative Aide in the U.S. Senate and was a national staff member of the 2004 John Kerry Presidential Campaign.

Brian Scanlon, AP Director of Election Services, based in New York, NY. Scanlon joined the AP in March 2006. He has over 15 years of experience in elections and polling. He previously worked for Ipsos Public Affairs, the polling firm of record for the AP in Washington, DC. Mr. Scanlon works closely with broadcast, newspapers and digital groups in customer management, driving marketing efforts and product support to deliver reliable and innovative election services to AP members and commercial customers. He is a graduate of Loyola University and holds a masters degree from the University of Chicago.
Kathleen Hayden, Executive Producer for AOL News: Kathleen Hayden joined AOL News nine years ago to run its 2000 elections coverage. Since then she has spearheaded all of AOLs efforts related to political news, elections technologies, blogs including Political Machine, and citizen journalism/social networking. Before joining AOL, Kathleen was an editor for CNN/TIMEs joint political Web site, AllPolitics.com. She helped launch the site for the 1996 elections, and stayed on through the next three years. In her first-ever job, as a writer and researcher at TIME magazine, she helped create Time.com, one of the first major news publications to hit the Web. Kathleen hails from Boston, went to school at Haverford College and now lives in the Washington, D.C. area.
Alex Wellen is CNN Deputy Political Director for Digital Content. He manages and coordinates CNNs political coverage across all of its digital platforms including CNNPolitics.com, The CNN Political Ticker, video-on-demand, election coverage, live streaming products, and podcasts. He is also responsible for creating and launching dozens of politics and news initiatives and special reports on CNN.com as well as identifying and implementing fresh technology on-air and online. As senior producer for The Situation Room with Wolf Blitzer, Wellen wrote and produced hundreds of news segments examining the impact of the Internet on our lives as well as how user-generated content, social networking sites, the blogosphere, and online resources and tools influence breaking news, current events, and politics. His coverage of the 2006 Election earned him an Emmy Award for Outstanding Live Coverage of a Breaking News Story. He also co-created, executive produced, and co-hosted 100 episodes of the Emmy award winning series CyberCrime on TechTV, the first and only investigative TV series devoted to covering high-tech crime and electronic privacy. Wellen is currently a contributor to The New York Times and has written for The Wall Street Journal, McSweeneys, C-NET, and San Francisco Magazine, among others. He is a graduate of Rutgers College of Engineering and received his law degree from Temple School of Law.
Rory OConnor is currently a Fellow at The Shorenstein Center at Harvard Universitys Kennedy School of Government. An author, blogger, journalist and filmmaker, he is also co-founder and president of the international media firm Globalvision, Inc, and Board Chair of The Global Center, an affiliated non-profit foundation. OConnor has directed, written and/or produced hundreds of television programs and films, and served as executive in charge of the award-winning broadcast newsmagazines South Africa Now and Rights & Wrongs: Human Rights Television. His articles have appeared in many leading periodicals, and he is the author of the recently published Shock Jocks: Hate Speech & Talk Radio, as well as co-author of the Nukespeak: The Selling of Nuclear Technology in America. A regular online columnist for AlterNet and MediaChannel, OConnor also writes the popular Media Is A Plural blog (www.roryoconnor.org.) His broadcast, film and print work has been honored with a George Polk Award, a Writer's Guild Award, and a George Orwell Award, among others.
