Greg Reinacker, CTO and founder, NewsGator Technologies: Reinacker is the Found er and CTO of NewsGator Technologies. Greg's background includes technical consulting work for companies such as Galileo International, as well as several commercial software ventures with companies such as McGraw-Hill. Greg is recognized as a thought leader in the weblog and RSS arenas, publicly speaks about RSS, and is a vocal proponent of business uses of RSS and syndication technologies. Greg holds a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Colorado in Boulder.
Seth Sternberg, Co-Founder, meebo: Seth is responsible for all things business at me ebo, a three-person start-up which he co-founded with Elaine Wherry the Ajax guru; and Sandy Jen - Server side programming. Prior to meebo, Seth worked at IBM in Corporate Development leading M&A transactions and working on strategy and venture capital initiatives. Seth flies airplanes, rides motorcycles and rollerblades. Seth majored in Political Science at Yale.
Ken Fromm, co-Founder/Business Development, Loomia: Ken Fromm oversees Loomias operations and business development efforts. He has over 15 years experience with innovative technologies and evolving business models and is a strong advocate for the use of syndicated technologies within media and ecommerce organizations. In the early 1990s, Ken was a co-founder of Vivid Studios, an influential web development and e-services company. He was an integral part of Vivid's growth and development from its inception until its sale to Modem Media in 2000. After Vivid, he worked at Modulant Solutions where was director of corporate development and helped pioneer the use of semantic technologies within the enterprise and federal government. He has co-published four books on computer topics, one of which, Multimedia Demystified, served as a fundamental building block for modern interactive development and is a frequent speaker at media and technology conferences. Ken is a Phi Beta Kappa graduate of the University of Michigan with a degree in computer science.
Amy Lipton, Director of Marketing, Global Media and Entertainment Industry, IBM: As Director of Marketing for IBM Digital Media, Amy is responsible for marketing and strategy of IBMs Digital Media Solutions organization. IBM is the world's leading on demand business company offering a wide range of services, solutions, software and technologies that allow businesses to take full advantage of the exploding digital media market. IBM's digital media solutions extend new and existing e-business applications to the emerging rich-media market for organizations that are deploying them. IBM has pioneered digital media across many industries and geographic locations and together with our partners, has developed digital media solutions in the retail, telecommunications, government, media and entertainment, and financial services industries.
Mike Folgner CEO and Co-founder, Jumpcut. Mike has extensive experience in ma rketing, sales and business development in interactive video technologies. Mike was Director of Business Development at OpenTV Inc., a leading provider of interactive television software and consumer video products, where he helped build the companys consumer interactive applications business. Mike has experience in sales and partnership development and has managed projects to build consumer facing interactive television products. Mike also worked in business and competitive strategy for Hewlett-Packard. Mike has an undergraduate degree in Industrial Engineering and Operations Research from Stanford University and an MBA from Stanfords Graduate School of Business where he developed the business plan for Jumpcut.
David Dudas, co-founder of Eyespot, serves as the CTO and VP of Engineering for the company where he oversees new media applications and manages the companys product development. Dudas was instrumental in developing the companys core strategy as well as launching its website and online services in April 2006. Dudas is also actively involved in the companys business development. Prior to founding Eyespot, Dudas served as the Director of Engineering at Vivendi-Univeral/MP3.com where he led the development of online products and services for the companys media properties including Universal Studios, Universal Music Group, and yourmobile.com. Dudas has also held executive positions as Streamload and SIPphone. Dudas holds a Bachelors degree in Computer Science from the Michigan State University.
