The projections of new technologies to the consumer, from IPTV and HDTV, Broadband and the continued explosion in mobile devices and features, the issues of brand extension, advertising and commerce to the consumer is the most critical question facing industry executives. What can we seriously expect from the merger of content and commerce? With broadband and wireless exploding, it seems as if the entertainment and information industries have reached a new taking off point for the e-commerce revolution. With a consumer demanding innovation in content and features and the technology now in place, this time there will be no false start.

David Card, Vice President & Senior Analyst, JupiterResearch: David Card analyzes the media and music industries, focusing on cross-media programming, online revenue streams, and audience segmentation. Previously, he directed media and marketing research, and, as Jupiter's Research Development VP, he helped guide coverage architecture, research methodologies, and overall quality. Card also helped launch the MindShare program for senior executives, initiated Jupiter's digital & interactive TV research, and was senior analyst in the Web Technology service. Card is often quoted in leading newspapers and magazines, including The Wall Street Journal, The New York Times and USA Today, and has appeared on ABC World News Tonight, CNN, ESPN, Fox News, and NPR. Besides Jupiter Forums, he has also spoken at major industry events such as E3, the Newspaper Association of America's new media conference, the PBS/NPR new media forum, Texas University's Online Journalism Symposium, Herring on Hollywood and Software Marketing Perspectives. Prior to joining Jupiter in February 1998, Card was at International Data Corp. for nine years, holding a variety of positions including directing its consumer Internet and PC software services, where he was IDC's lead Microsoft analyst. Card earned a bachelor's degree in English and classics from Brandeis University and attended Boston University's graduate program in journalism. He lives in the East Village in Manhattan.
Betsy Morgan is a Senior Vice President for CBS Digital Media and the General Manager of CBSNews.com. She is in charge of the network's 24-hour broadband, on-demand news service, which draws on the worldwide, award-winning resources of CBS News. Under Ms Morgan's leadership CBSNews.com has been an industry-leading provider of advertiser-supported free broadband video, and its excellence has been recognized with several prestigious industry awards. Ms. Morgan earned an MBA in Business Administration from Harvard Business School and a BA in Political Science and Economics from Colby College. Currently, she is the President of New York Women in Communications, Inc and is on the Board of Overseers for Colby College and a member of the Council on Foreign Relations.
Sam Parker is CNET Networks' senior vice president, network, responsible for managing the shared resources that help the company's business units be more competitive. Sam joined CNET Networks in 1996 as director of business development. Soon after, he became director of product development for the company's Snap.com portal initiative. After the launch of Snap! and a 20 percent investment by NBC, Sam moved to Snap! LLC, which was technically a separate company from CNET Networks but had many close ties. Sam departed from CNET Networks when Snap! went public in 2000. He then returned in 2001 as senior vice president of Global Publishing Services, which was merged in 2004 with Business Operations to create the Network department that Sam runs today. Sam began his career as a product manager and evangelist at Apple. He earned his BA in history from Yale University and today applies his passion for history to his role within CNET Networks, where he makes sure the company learns from the lessons of its past and shares best practices across the organization. Sam lives in the San Francisco Bay Area with his wife and daughter, where he pursues his passion for all kinds of media, including music, video, books, and magazines, as well as outdoor activities, including fishing, skiing, and windsurfing.
Nancy Dunn - Vice President, Advertising Strategy, ClipSyndicate: Ms. Dunn brings over 10 years of experience in developing revenue and business development strategies on the Internet. Prior to joining ClipSyndicate, Ms. Dunn was with AOL for 7 years where she was most recently Director of Business Strategy and Operations in the Sales Development group. There she developed and led the implementation of AOLs advertising inventory strategy and helped lead AOLs transition to a new ad serving system. Ms. Dunn also held account management and strategy positions at AOL. Before joining AOL, Ms. Dunn was with Time Inc. where she launched a commerce system that enabled subscription sales online.
Pam Horan, President, OPA: Pam is the President with the Online Publishers Associa tion (OPA), an industry trade association dedicated to representing high-quality online publishers before the advertising community, the press, the government and the public. Pam joined the OPA from Zinio Systems Inc. where she was the VP of Marketing and oversaw the marketing and distribution partnerships for the digital magazine publishing system. Prior to that, she was the VP of Sales Marketing with Women.com Networks, a leading consumer web site for women acquired by iVillage. Pam has held numerous sales and marketing management positions for International Data Group (IDG), Pretty Good Privacy (PGP) and Symantec Corporation. Pam is a graduate of Boston College.
