Prior to joining the company, Bob was Vice President of Product Development for Planet Direct, an Internet portal site, and a strategic business consultant in Workstation Systems Planning at Hewlett-Packard. He also worked as an Engineering Manager for Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer in their Multi-Media and Graphics Technology departments. Bob holds a BS from the University of Connecticut.Tom Inglefield, Broadcast and Entertainment Solution Manager, S torageTek: Tom Inglefield is focused on storage solutions and architectures for the broadcast, entertainment and post-production market. He began his StorageTek career in 1982 and has developed several industry-leading solution offerings working with storage providers and application partners. Inglefield also served as the director of product development for a streaming media startup. Prior to that he was chief architect responsible for developing storage software, hardware and service products for the very large database/data warehouse market. Inglefield has extensive experience in marketing, storage technologies, business development, product development and database technologies.Omar Karim, Chief Technology Officer, WorldNow: As Chief Technology Officer at WorldNow, Omar Karim is responsible for the design, development and evolution of the industry's leading multi-site management platform. Having architected large-scale Internet environments since the inception of the Web, he provides the leadership and experience required by WorldNow's prominent mass media customers. Omar's strategic vision drives the development of the streaming video solution used by kgo.com, wabc.com, boston.com, ajc.com, and 100 other local news sites. His previous tenure was as Lead Engineer at Modem Media New York where he developed Web systems for Fortune 100 clients including AT&T, Johnson & Johnson, Chase Manhattan Corporation and IBM. During this time he was awarded 'Outstanding Achievement in the International Competition for Interactive Multimedia' for building the Web-casting platform of the IBM Deep Blue vs. Kasparov event. Prior to Modem Media, Omar was a Senior Software Engineer at Poppe Tyson, where he completed pioneering work in Internet personalization and content management systems. Omar graduated from Hampshire College with a degree in Computer Science and Economic Development. |
