Economics and Analysis of Personalized Media: From DTV, VOD, PVR to Wireless, Games, Commerce, Voting Polls, Advertising and Banking Services
Interactive TV has for many years been a mainstay in Europe and finally, it is here – with a bit of a different name – Personalized TV. As Personalized TV enters everyday usage and acceptance in our digital households, for the first time in the United States, we are able to see how the economics of enhanced TV will play out. While the consumer may not be paying directly for many of the services, the involvement of tens of millions of users in Interactive TV activities is now identifiable. As we move forward, the idea of a separate notion of ITV, as distinct from "digital TV viewing" may simply disappear. It is predicted by many that the functionality of ITV may be so compelling, that consumers may simply incorporate ITV their everyday viewing process. In this session, we will get a first-hand report from the world experts in ITV on the future of their industry.
