Brzeski joined Toshiba in 1996, and has worked in the computer industry for 19 years - holding positions at AST, Raytheon and Telex.Sandip H. Mandera is a digital home Evangelist/Staff Technical Marketing Engineer in Software and Solutions at Intel Corporation. He is responsible for enabling ISVs on digital home technologies (UPnP, DTCP/IP), developing enabling strategies and evangelizing digital home technologies. He has over 8 years of experience in software and technical marketing combined. In the past, he led Intel's marketing representation on Web services standards - UDDI.org and later OASIS UDDI during 2002 and 2003. He has spoken at leading conferences like Software Development Conference & Web Services World XML and Web Services Conference, contributed to a book chapter in the notable XML Handbook (5th edition) and his articles have appeared in leading magazines like IDS, DevX and JavaWorld. He holds an M.B.A. from Southern Methodist University, M.S. in Computer Science and Engineering from The University of Texas at Arlington and a B. Tech. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Regional Engineering College, Calicut, India. Henry Wiechman, Worldwide Manager, Streaming Media, Texas Instrumen ts: Henry Wiechman serves as the worldwide manager of Texas Instruments Streaming Media group, where he is responsible for strategic product positioning, new customer design engagements, and product and business development for DSP-based solutions for streaming media end equipments. Previously, Wiechman was the manager of TIs C6000 digital signal processor (DSP) product line and the marketing manager for TIs flagship TMS320C6000 platform of fixed and floating point digital signal processors, the worlds most powerful DSP platform based on the advanced VelociTI VLIW architecture. Wiechman began his career at Texas Instruments in MOS memory customer engineering. In addition to his C6000 duties, Wiechman has also been responsible for marketing efforts surrounding TIs TMS320C4x floating point DSPs. Wiechman received his bachelors in electrical engineering from Kansas State University and his masters of business administration from the University of Texas at Austin. He is a member of the Institute of Electric and Electronics Engineers (IEEE).John LeMoncheck, Vice President of Consumer Electronics Products, S ilicon Image, Inc.: As Vice President of Consumer Electronics Products at Silicon Image, Mr. LeMoncheck has responsibility for all consumer electronics product, market and business strategy development and execution. He hails from TeraLogic, where he was vice president of software and systems engineering, directing all platform and software implementations for TeraLogic's digital television solutions. He also ran the customer support and professional service organizations. Prior to joining TeraLogic, LeMoncheck was a member of the founding team at Arithmos, Inc. where he was vice president of engineering and developed Arithmos' line of display processors targeted at the flat panel market. More recently, he directed The LEGO Company's West Coast design center, which was focused on high-tech toys. Earlier in his career, LeMoncheck held staff engineering and design engineering positions at Synaptics, Inc. and NCR Corporation, respectively. LeMoncheck is an active member of the Society for Information Display, having helped form the group's Electronic Device subcommittee. He has a bachelor's degree in electrical engineering from U.C. San Diego and spent several years researching VLSI for imaging and pattern recognition applications at Caltech.Jack P. Guedj, Vice President of Video Products Marketing, Cirrus Logic, Inc.: Jack P. Guedj joined Cirrus in April 2003 as vice president of Video Products Marketing, where he is responsible for worldwide strategic and tactical marketing for DVD and Video Recorder Technologies. Guedj joins Cirrus with many years of video marketing and sales experience from National Semiconductor, Faroudja and most recently at TVIA. Based in Fremont, Calif., Guedj will lead Cirrus market efforts in serving the high-growth digital video market segments including DVD players, DVD recorders, hard-drive-based digital video recorders, DVD receivers where Cirrus has embarked upon a comprehensive silicon-to-software platform strategy. Prior to joining Cirrus, Guedj served as president of TVIA, a leading provider of streaming media gateway ICs for residential broadband, information access devices and digital TV markets. Guedj also served as president of HTMC, where he oversaw a consulting business for CEOs, and was vice president of Worldwide Sales and Marketing at Faroudja. Guedj also served as director of Digital Media/Broadband SMS at National Semiconductor, where he directed Nationals Digital Media/Broadband Strategic Market Segment and marketing and sales activities for the broadband set-top box, cable modem, home gateway, DVD and digital TV markets. Guedj graduated in 1982 from Physique et Chimie de Paris, and received a DEA degree from the University of Paris I in 1983. Guedj obtained his masters degree from the University of California Los Angeles Graduate School of Management. Michelle Abraham, Senior Analyst, Converging Markets & Technologies, I n-Stat/MDR: Ms. Abraham is a Senior Analyst for In-Stat/MDR's Converging Markets & Technologies Group. Before joining In-Stat/MDR in 1996, she worked for several years as a manager for an inbound call center operation. Ms. Abraham's specific areas of research include Video Delivery by Telephone Companies, the Direct Broadcast Satellite industry, Digital Television, and DVD, and MPEG ICs. Ms. Abraham has contributed industry commentary to many technical and business publications including the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, Forbes, Business Week, EETimes, and Electronic News. She has been a speaker at industry conferences such as Supercomm, World DSL Forum, and Broadband Year 2000. Ms. Abraham has appeared on ABC's Business Now TV program as well as TechTV. Ms. Abraham has also contributed articles to industry publications, including Electronic News and TWICE. She completed her BA in Economics at the University of Michigan. Ms. Abraham received her MBA from Arizona State University. |
