After studying physics at Harvard, Mr. Pulier worked in the Harvard Robotics Laboratory and the New York University Robotics Laboratory. He then served as the CTO of Radiant Enterprises, developing network control systems. He subsequently joined Boston University's Cognitive and Neural Systems department, where he studied brain sciences with an emphasis on computational and mathematical brain modeling. For the last 6 years, Mr. Pulier has been managing software teams and developing new technologies in the digital video industry.Bill Reckwerdt is the marketing manager for Optibase Inc., located in Mo untain View, Calif. Mr. Reckwerdt is responsible for product development, marketing strategy and channel marketing. Prior to joining Optibase, Bill worked in several software and chip manufacturing companies including Vweb, C-Cube and HP. He has worked in the video compression market since 1995 and has been responsible for video streaming for many years. Bill graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a M.S. degree in Computer Science.Joe Klingler, Vice President of Software, Discreet: Joe Klingler, Vice President of Software, is a seasoned executive bringing more than 20 years of innovative industry expertise to Discreet. Joe is responsible for the development of Discreet's award-winning software products including cleaner, combustion and 3ds max among others. After spending a decade in medical imaging research, Joe shifted his emphasis on software for special effects as founder of VideoFusion, Inc. in 1992. Two years later, the company was sold to Radius, Inc. where Joe served as Vice President of Engineering leading the team that developed products for the then emerging DV standard digital video format. From there Joe was an asset in an acquisition by Media 100 where as Vice President of Engineering he spearheaded the evolution of software-based video and web streaming products including the cleaner line. This division was sold to Discreet in October of 2001. Since at Discreet, Joe has played an imperative role in the success and growth of the esteemed software product lines. Joe Klingler holds a Ph.D. in Systems Engineering from the University of Toledo. His vast knowledge and expertise has resulted in Dr. Klingler's several patents in digital imaging. Dr. Klingler is considered an industry influencer and expert and has contributed to eminent media outlets and presented at many leading industry events. Michael Wilke is Director of Marketing and Channel Development for EMC Corporations Avalon Product Division. Avalons AVALONidm intelligent data management platform is the worlds leading data storage management solution for the broadcast industry. Mr. Wilke is responsible for the development and implementation of all worldwide sales, marketing, partner, and channel programs to support AVALONidm in both broadcast and non-broadcast market applications. Prior to joining EMC, Michael Wilke held senior marketing management positions at StorageTek and Ampex Corporation.Bill Loesch, vice president of marketing and technology for Pinnacle Sy stems' Business & Consumer Division, joined Pinnacle Systems in 1994 as vice president and general manager of this division. Loesch has brought his entrepreneurial spirit to Pinnacle Systems and has driven the company's efforts to develop a name for itself in the consumer market. Before leading the Consumer Products division of the company, Loesch served as vice president of new business development. Prior to joining Pinnacle Systems he worked as an independent business consultant. From 1990 through 1992, Loesch co-founded and served as president of SHOgraphics Inc., a 3D graphics systems company where he also acted as its executive vice president and chief technical officer. Additionally, Loesch co- founded and served as chief executive officer and president of IKOS Systems, Inc., a computer aided engineering company.David Heppe, VP of Business Development, Telestream: David has spe nt over 16 years establishing and running international sales and marketing organizations for companies specializing in computer, telecommunications and video technology. David is currently responsible for developing business strategies that leverage Telestream successes in the entertainment industry for broader new media markets. His insights have contributed to accelerated development and acceptance for Telestream's encoding and transcoding automation products. David holds an MSEE from Stanford and an MBA from Harvard Business School.Katherine Parker is Principal of her own solution marketing business helpin g digital media companies establish and expand their markets. She brings over 18 years experience in media solutions go-to-market, business development, and strategic alliance management to teams and projects. As Business Development manager for Entertainment & Media Industry at Sun Microsystems, Katherine hosted the monthly Sun Entertainment & Media user group in Los Angeles. From 2000-2003, SEMUG LA provided a lively community forum for a wide range of digital media topics including digital asset management, digital distribution, digital rights management, interactive TV services, wireless content delivery, Java gaming, content portals and personalization, and media storage. Recently Ms. Parker was a member of Sun's web services software organization, specializing in Digital Identity solutions and Liberty standards. During her career at Sun Microsystems, Ms. Parker managed partnership activities with market-leading companies including Adobe, Agfa, Artesia, Bulldog (Documentum), iKnowledge (Avid), Kodak, NDS, Oracle, PricewaterhouseCoopers, RealNetworks, Sony, Vignette, and Xerox. Her Silicon Valley alliances expertise includes building go-to-market plans with partners based in North America, Japan, France, Germany, UK, Israel and many other countries. Additionally, Katherine led PR and Marcom activities for Sun at venues such as NAB, IBC, and Seybold Seminars, and is a presenter on digital media topics at industry conferences. |
