Little, CEO & Publisher, Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactiv e: As president and chief operating officer, Caroline H. Little oversees WPNIs day-to-day business operations. In this role, Little is responsible for directing the companys production, marketing, technology, advertising sales and operations, Jobs, Cars and Real Estate, human resources and legal teams. In addition, she works closely with Christopher Schroeder, chief executive officer and publisher of WPNI, as well as with team leaders in all areas, in order to further develop the company. Little joined WPNI in 1997 as general counsel. She was promoted to vice president, administration and general counsel, in 1998. She became senior vice president of business affairs and general counsel in 1999. Little assumed the role of chief operating officer in April 2000. Prior to joining Washingtonpost.Newsweek Interactive, Little was deputy general counsel at U.S. News & World Report, The Atlantic Monthly and Fast Company (May 1993 to July 1997). While there, she was active in negotiating agreements with online service providers, licensing, multimedia syndication agreements and other areas involving circulation and marketing of the magazines. When Little worked at Applied Graphics Technologies and Applied Printing Technologies, she drafted and negotiated various financing and licensing agreements, joint venture agreements, software license agreements, production services agreements, asset purchase agreements, and other agreements for pre-press and printing companies. Moreover, Little served as an associate at the law firm of Arnold & Porter, working on telecommunications, corporate and real estate issues. A graduate of Wesleyan University Little received a Bachelor of Arts in English in 1981 and received her J.D. from New York University School of Law in 1986 where she graduated with honors. She is a member of Phi Beta Kappa. Little is an active member of both professional organizations and the charitable community in Washington. She is a dynamic member of the D.C. Bar serving on their Board of Governors, as a co-chair of the Bars Technology Taskforce and as a Vice Chair of their Publications Committee. Little also serves as a Board member for the charitable groups Food & Friends and WEAVE (Women Empowered Against Violence). In addition, Little serves as a trustee to Grinnell College in Iowa.Peter Glusker, Senior Vice President, Viacom Digital Media Group: Pet er Glusker has served as Senior Vice President of the Viacom Digital Media Group since its formation in February 2000. He is responsible for leading key initiatives across Viacoms businesses that leverage both emerging technologies and the Companys content, promotional, distribution, and advertising strengths. Among his charges are the continuing development and oversight of Viacom's interactive investments, including MarketWatch.com. Mr. Glusker had joined the CBS Internet Group in January 2000 as Senior Vice President. Prior to joining CBS, Mr. Glusker was a key member of the team that led the turnaround of online service provider Prodigy, where he held a number of management positions from 1996 to 1998, most recently as Senior Vice President Business Development, and was responsible for the companys strategic financings and led its business development, content programming, and legal departments. From 1993 to 1996, Mr. Glusker served as an Investment Officer for the International Finance Corporation/World Bank Group. Earlier in his career, Mr. Glusker was a founding partner of CAL, a consulting and financial advisory group based in Poland. After receiving his MBA from Stanford in 1989, Mr. Glusker joined the management consulting firm Bain & Company in London. Mr. Glusker began his career as an investment banker at First Boston in New York. Mr. Glusker received a B.A. in Government from Wesleyan University in 1984, and an M.B.A. from Stanford University in 1989. Mr. Glusker has served on the boards of numerous public and private companies, including: Contentville, Hollywood Media, iWon, Jobs.com, MarketWatch, Office.com, SportsLine.com, StoreRunner, and Switchboard.Andy Beers, Director of MSN Video, Microsoft: Andy Beers is the Director of Microsoft's recently launched broadband video service, MSN Video. He is responsible for developing strategic partnerships with content producers, programming the service, and overseeing daily operations. Andy's background includes high-profile positions as news director at KING-TV (NBC Seattle) and executive producer of MSNBC.com where he was responsible for national and international news content. Previously, Andy was the news director at MSN News, the first interactive, multimedia news service on MSN. He was an integral player during the launch of MSNBC in 1996 and MSN news in 1995. In 1998, Andy joined the Microsoft TV Division for the opportunity to help shape the future of TV. With more than 20 years in TV and interactive media, Andy was well positioned to lead Microsoft TV's business development efforts with television networks and other TV programmers, and to further advance the development of interactive TV content. Andy has recently spoken on behalf of Microsoft at many industry and trade events including The National Association of Broadcasters convention, the International Broadcast Convention, Broadcast Asia, Kagan Interactive TV Summit, Society of Broadcast Engineers, Electronic Media Expo and the National Academy of Television Arts & Sciences. Andy is on advisory boards for several universities, advising faculty on the use of interactive media technology and development of new media journalism curricula. Josh Rose, Senior Vice President, Director of iDeutsch, Deutsch, Inc.: As Sr. Vice President and Director of iDeutsch, Josh Rose heads up one of the smartest and most creative interactive shops in Los Angeles. iDeutsch offers fully integrated online marketing solutions to Deutsch s impressive roster of clients, including Coors Light, DIRECTV, Snapple, Revlon, MCI, California Cheese and JD Edwards and recently won ADWEEK s Interactive Agency of the Year award, for 2002. Rose has been working in interactive for 6 years, developing large-scale interactive projects and campaigns for such clients as Mitsubishi Motors, Sprint, Chase Manhattan, Visa, Public Storage, Sony Electronics and Peppers & Rogers, to name a few. Rose has also been on the forefront of music destinations on the Internet having developed the branding, site and software design for RioPort and Spinner as well as similar branding and development work with WherehouseMusic and The Experience Music Project. Rose has also worked as a partnerwith MTV, VH1, House of Blues, Nike.com, Ministry of Sound and Bolt to help them deliver digital audio solutions via the Web. In addition,Rose has developed sites for Alanis Morissette, Marilyn Manson, Brian Wilson and other artists. Prior to working in the interactive space, Josh spent over 3 years at The Walt Disney Company, in Buena Vista Pictures Marketing department, developing promotional campaigns and tie-ins for all Touchstone, Hollywood Pictures and Walt Disney films. Susan Bratton, SVP Sales and Marketing, Maven Networks: If Susan were an ad - her headline would be "Lives to Launch." As SVP Sales & Marketing at Maven Networks, she has her second crack at leveraging interactive broadband technology. Inventing broadband advertising with her team at @Home Network in the nascent days of the Internet was her "1.0." At Maven, Susan decries the chunky, tiny-windowed streaming video sent to broadband users. She is helping marketers deepen their consumer relationships by creating episodic full-screen, interactive DVD-quality video with Maven's design tools and cost-effective delivery system. Steeped in interactive marketing, Susan brought innovative advertising solutions to pioneering marketers and agencies by combining the best of @Home Network, Excite, BlueMountain Arts, Enliven and MatchLogic as SVP Sales & Marketing. Recently Susan launched the critically-acclaimed spam-free consumer email service from Mailblocks utilizing her accumulated interactive marketing tricks to monetize that web service and drive customer acquisition. "Loves to lunch" may be her tag line - an indefatigable booster for interactive marketing, Susan has served on numerous corporate boards and logged five years of service, including election as Vice Chair, for the Interactive Advertising Bureau (IAB) and as advisor to AD:TECH, the industry's leading conference where she's been Chair, managing programming and speaker selection since 2002.
