Clark Hallren, Vice President and Manager, J.P. Morgan Securities In c., Entertainment Industries Group, Los Angeles, California: Mr. Hallren is Vice President for JPMorgan, formerly Chase Securities Inc., with Client management responsibilities in the Entertainment Industries Group. Mr. Hallren has been with JPMorgans Entertainment Industries Group since November 1986. During his tenure, he has worked with various groups at JPMorgan in providing a variety of financial services to corporate entertainment clients, including Loan Syndications, Public and Private High Yield Debt, Private Equity Placement, Public Equity, Direct Equity Investment, Asset Backed Securitization, Acquisition Financing, Derivatives and other risk hedging products. Mr. Hallren holds degrees in Finance, Accounting and Economics from Oklahoma State University.Isaac Palmer is Senior Vice President, Corporate Development at Para mount Pictures. Among other duties, Isaac is responsible for structured film finance, including slate financings and all German film financing transactions. This past August, Isaac closed an equity slate financing transaction with Merrill Lynch, a deal described by Daily Variety as "landmark" and "groundbreaking." Isaac joined Paramount in 1999. Before then, Isaac was at Ogden Entertainment in New York, where he was head of business affairs. He holds an MBA from Wharton and a JD from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.Gary Adelson, Managing Director, Houlihan Lokey Howard Zukin: Mr. Adelson is a Managing Director with Houlihan Lokeys Los Angeles office where he co-heads the firms Media & Entertainment Investment Banking Group. Before joining Houlihan Lokey, Mr. Adelson was a principal and cofounder of Media Connect Partners, a provider of financial and operating advisory services to media, entertainment, sports and communications companies. He has more than 25 years experience as a television and film producer and as an executive and entrepreneur in media, entertainment telecommunications and venture capital. In 1976, Mr. Adelson began working as a production assistant on the television show The Waltons. By age 25, he was producing the television show Eight Is Enough, for a time the top-rated show on television. It was also during this time that he produced the award-winning mini-series Sybil, starring Sally Field and Joanne Woodward. Mr. Adelson went on to produce several hundred hours of television programming and more than 20 feature films. His feature film career began with his production of Universal Studios The Last Starfighter, a groundbreaking production that used a Cray supercomputer to create the first film using photo-realistic computer graphics. In 1989 Mr. Adelson started his own production company, Adelson-Baumgarten Productions. AB Productions produced motion pictures, television series and longform television programming, and later broadened into a management company. ABs productions included Hook, directed by Steven Spielberg, which grossed $350 million worldwide. In 1993, Mr. Adelson co-founded the private cable and telephone company Interactive Cable Systems. ICS delivered cable via microwave to apartment buildings. By virtue of the fact that microwave-delivered cable was unregulated, ICS had the opportunity to become one of the first true "convergence" companies, delivering both cable and telephone service to the home. ICS was acquired by MCI in 1996. Mr. Adelson served as co-chairman and CEO of the company. In 1996, Mr. Adelson co-founded EastWest Venture Group. EastWest is a private venture capital company managing a fund of over $250 million and over 20 first- and second-stage companies pursuing markets in communications and convergence, including Digital River (Nasdaq:DRIV), Loudeye Technologies (Nasdaq:LOUD) and InterNAP (Nasdaq:INAP). EastWest Venture Group and Wasserstein Perella, a New Yorkbased investment bank, also have a $135 million, joint venture fund, Wasserstein Adelson Ventures, which focuses on technology-related, late-stage venture capital opportunities. Mr. Adelson received his B.A. in Economics from the University of California, Los Angeles. He served as the chairman of UCLAs Venture Fund, is on the Board of the Pediatric Aids Foundation and was executive director of Israels 50th anniversary jubilee.Cindy Wilkinson Kirven is Vice President of Finance and Business Affairs with Endgame Entertainment Fund I, LLC. She is responsible for the oversight of the structuring, funding and documentation of Endgames portfolio of entertainment investments. Endgame does not limit its capital allocations to any single media, niche or stage of production, but invests across early, middle and later stages of various entertainment media projects to build a diversified portfolio of entertainment investments. Kirven came to Endgame with over 20 years of experience in the entertainment industry including the financing of over 100 independent films with budgets ranging up to $70 million. Prior to her involvement at Endgame she oversaw the business affairs function at Newmarket Capital Group, LLC for eight years. Their business activities included finance, production and distribution of entertainment product ranging from the independently produced and distributed "Memento" to larger studio fare as "The Mexican" with Julia Roberts and Brad Pitt. She has an extensive entertainment banking background from her assorted positions at Union Bank of California, Bank of California, and Mercantile National Bank between 1978 and 1995. Ms. Kirven received her B.A. in Economics from Scripps College. William J. Amon, Tax Partner, Lead Tax Services Group, Deloitte & To uche: Bill is a client service partner in the Los Angeles office of Deloitte & Touche serving mainly, Global Strategic Clients, bringing more than 26 years of experience in corporate and international taxation to the firms large multinational clients. Bills current clients include MGM Studios, Sony Pictures Entertainment, Park Place Entertainment, Gateway, Inc., Mattel, Inc., PacifiCare Health Systems, Wellpoint, Fluor Corporation, Hughes Electronics Corporation and Northrop Grumman Corporation. Bills areas of expertise include: tax planning strategies, corporate and international tax strategies relating to large multinational operations, including restructuring of such operations, mergers and acquisition planning, joint ventures and repatriation strategies. Bill rejoined Deloitte & Touche in 1996 after 12 years as a partner at another Big Four firm. Bill began his career with Deloitte in the Silicon Valley serving high technology clients. Since rejoining Deloitte & Touche, Bill has advised the firms most prestigious clients on such issues as mergers and acquisitions, initial public offerings, joint ventures, and repatriation strategies. He is the lead tax partner on a number of Fortune 500 multinational clients. Bill is a frequent speaker at firm-sponsored seminars and conferences and at organizations such as the American and California Bar Associations. He is co-author of Tax Issues for High Technology Businesses. Bill has been recognized as one of North Americas top tax advisors: in 1998-2000 by the International Tax Review and in 2001-2003 by Euromoneys Guide to Leading Tax Advisors. Bill actively participates in his profession and in the community.
