Wireless technology to the home, in the home, wireless connecting to all devices, mobile wireless in the workplace, in the car, in public spaces and to consumers on the move. The cell phone universe has already conquered the world. Now its time for the rest of the information and entertainment space to catch up. When will wireless become an everyday assumption? When will the PC, the set-top, the broadband connection and the home audio system be wirelessly networked for every day, non-techie users? The wireless home and wireless world will likely set off an explosion of content and information services. He previously was Vice President and General Manager of NETGEAR, a division of Bay Networks later acquired by Nortel Networks. Patrick co-founded NETGEAR in January 1996. Before establishing NETGEAR, Patrick spent 12 years at Hewlett-Packard, where he held various management positions in marketing, product management and development, and support organizations in the United States and Asia. He holds a B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering from Brown University, Providence, R.I. Don MacDonald is Director of Marketing for Intel Corporation's Mobile Platforms Group. He has been with Intel since 1987. MacDonald began his Intel career in its European headquarters where he spent ten years in several roles including European Marketing Manager for the End-User Components Division. He then spent 3 years in the Mobile and Handheld Division in Santa Clara, California responsible for Customer and Channel marketing and most recently was Director of Marketing for Intel Japan before his current role as Director of Marketing for the Mobile Platform Group. Michael Collette, Chief Executive Officer, Ucentric: An industry veteran, C ollette brings extensive general management experience and marketing and sales expertise in growth-oriented broadband technology and entertainment industries to Ucentric. Most recently, Collette was senior vice president of marketing and business development for OpenTV, where he was responsible for the global positioning and marketing of the companys interactive television architecture, applications and media solutions. Prior to OpenTV, he was senior vice president of marketing and business development for ICTV, Inc. He also served as president and chief executive officer of MediaTech Strategies, a strategic consulting firm he founded in 1996 focusing on emerging TV applications, including companies involved in personal video recording (PVR), video-on-demand (VOD) content, interactive television (iTV), and iTV portal development. In addition, Collette is the founder of The Bandies award show, a featured industry event that recognizes achievements in new media entertainment and technologies. Collette earned a Masters of Business Administration degree from UCLAs Anderson Graduate School of Management and undergraduate degrees in English and Social Science from University of California, Berkeley.Tom Flanagan, Director, Worldwide Broadband Strategy, Texas Instrumen ts: As the worldwide director of broadband strategy, Tom Flanagan identifies market trends and provides the vision and strategic direction for TI's Broadband Communications Group. The Broadband Communications Group is charged with driving TI's extensive broadband portfolio, which includes integrated DSP, analog and software solutions for cable, digital subscriber line (DSL), voice over Internet protocol (VoIP) and wireless networking. Prior to this position, Flanagan was the director of business development for Telogy Networks, acquired by TI in 1999, and vice president of sales and marketing for ADC Skyline. Flanagan also held various marketing, sales and business development positions during a 12 year career with Dynatech Communications. Flanagan received a bachelor's degree of science from James Madison University.Michael Greeson, Senior Analyst, Director of Broadband Research, Parks Associates: Michael examines broadband residential access technologies and services, customer-premised broadband equipment, home networking, mobile data services, and voice-over-broadband products and services for Parks Associates, a Dallas-based research consultancy specializing in emerging residential technologies. His recent work includes Broadband Access @ Home III (November 2002), Next-Generation Digital Cable Set-Top Boxes: Analysis & Forecasts (October 2002), PC-Based Digital Entertainment in the Internet Home (October 2002), and The Residential Gateway Report: Fourth Edition (May 2002). Mr. Greeson is frequently cited in the technology press, including The Wall Street Journal, Forbes, Time, Business Week, San Jose Mercury News, Broadband Week, ZDNet, TelecomBusiness, and many other publications. Mr. Greeson is an energetic speaker and consultant with a pragmatic perspective on what devices and services consumers will actually adopt. Michael has a BA in Philosophy from the University of Central Oklahoma, and graduated summa cum laude with an MA in Interdisciplinary Social Science at the University of Chicago. Robert Ferrari, Managing Director and Founder of Convergence Ventures - a global business development firm based in Boston. The firm offers business development, corporate strategy, product marketing and fund raising services to companies in the convergence sectors. Robert has thirteen years of executive level experience in managing companies focused in the consumer electronics, digital entertainment, media, and telecommunications sectors. Robert has been fortunate to serve and steer the strategic direction of global public companies, as well as a broad range of small to medium size start-up companies.
