From ringtunes and ringtones to downloads and subscription services, music and mobile is a truly revolutionary combination.

David Pakman, President & CEO, eMusic / President, Dimensional Mobile Entertainment / Managing Director, Dimensional Associates: David Pakman is a Managing Director of Dimensional Associates, the parent company of eMusic, The Orchard, Dimensional Music Publishing (formerly DreamWorks Music Publishing) and Dimensional Mobile Entertainment. He also serves as President and CEO for eMusic and Dimensional Mobile Entertainment. Pakman is a pioneer and entrepreneur in the world of digital music. He was the Co-founder and President of Business Development and Public Policy at Myplay, Inc., the broadband application services company founded in 1999 that introduced the "digital music locker" and pioneered the locker category. After selling Myplay to Bertelsmann’s eCommerce Group in 2001, Pakman was named Senior Vice President of Corporate Development and Public Policy for BeMusic, a division of Bertelsmann. Prior to Myplay, Pakman was an early principal force and co-creator of Apple Computer’s Music Group, co-founding the Macintosh New York Music Festival and co-producing the then-largest industry webcast to date, the 1997 GRAMMY Awards. After Apple, he became Vice President at N2K Entertainment. He served as a board member of the Digital Media Association (DiMA) and was co-chair of its licensing committee. Pakman has advised scores of companies in the digital entertainment space, and remains a board member of Knitting Factory Entertainment, and an avid musician and songwriter. Pakman has spoken at more than 100 events over the past decade, including Plug.in, Webnoize, Digital Hollywood, PFF Summit (Progress and Freedom Foundation), Paul Allen's conference, Billboard, Winter Music Festival, SxSW, NxNW, AES, NAMM, Leadership Music in Nashville, Macworld, Digital Music Summit, Music 2.0, MobileMusicCon, and more. He has testified in front of Congress on issues related to music copyright in a digital age, and has published in the American University Law Review. He holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science Engineering from University of Pennsylvania.

Larry Jacobson, CEO, Cdigix: Joining Cdigix in 2005, Mr. Jacobson brings more than 20 years of Internet and media experience to Cdigix. Previously, Mr. Jacobson served as president of RealNetworks, Inc. and as president and chief operating officer of Ticketmaster Corporation, the world’s largest ticketing company. He also held various executive positions during his nine years at FOX, a unit of News Corporation, including the role of president of the FOX Television Network. Mr. Jacobson received his A.B. from Harvard College and his M.B.A. from Harvard Business School.









Amy Skeeters-Behrens, Category Manager, eBay Music: Amy Skeeters-Behrens is the manager of the Music Category on eBay. the World’s Online Marketplace. Amy joined eBay in January of 2005 and is responsible for managing the music pages on eBay and developing the music strategy on eBay, including both physical and digital goods. Prior to joining eBay, Amy worked in economics consulting and in developing organizational strategy for a large tech company. Amy received her BA in Economics from the University of Oklahoma, and her MBA from Stanford University.

John Puterbaugh, CEO, Nellymoser: John founded Nellymoser with 15 years experience providing high quality multimedia solutions for IP networks, mass market mobile phones and consumer products. He has consulted with many of the largest audio technology companies including Milcom, Wildfire, Kidkids and Franklin Electronics. Prior to Nellymoser, he was CTO of Voxonic, where he helped Voxonic provide voice dubbing solutions for the syndication of film and video content in the entertainment industry. Prior to Voxonic, he was Director of Software Operations at Voxware, Inc., the first company to provide real-time streaming solutions for the Internet. While at Voxware he helped companies such as Disney, Microsoft, Nokia and Netscape develop Internet multimedia streaming solutions. John has taught number of courses from music cognition, electronic music and recording, electroacoustic music and computer music. He holds numerous patents in voice analysis and synthesis, generating identification signals for electronic devices and voice transformation.

John Ousby is Head of Distribution Technologies for BBC Radio & Music interactive where he is responsible for cross platform activity, internet streaming, text and data services, business development and music rights negotiation. Prior to the BBC John consulted in radio, entertainment and new media after a long spell with Virgin Entertainment Group companies, including Virgin Publishing and Virgin Radio where John launched their online operation, the first continually streaming radio station in Europe. John founded Ginger Online with the arrival of Chris Evans and his TV production units. John was a founding member of the International Webcasting Association in both the US and Europe and was recently voted one of the top 100 UK individuals for his input and influence on the development and growth of e-commerce and the internet in the UK over the last 10yrs.

Scott Campbell, US Media & Communications Industry Advisor: Scott is a New York City based Sector Specialist for the UK government’s Overseas Economic Development network, UK Trade & Investment. His role involves facilitating Business, Policy and Technology developments in both UK and North American markets for the Media & Communications sectors. Scott’s international business experience enables him to offer guidance to companies seeking to form strategic alliances, joint ventures and/or licensing agreements in the UK or North America. Prior to working for UKTI, Scott successfully managed a variety of Digital Media ventures over a period of 12 years between the UK & US. Projects included launching Liquid Audio in Europe, the world’s first secure music delivery platform on the Internet. Walmart now uses Liquid Audio’s technology exclusively for their online music service. Scott also worked on major projects with the BBC, George Michael, Duran Duran, Virgin Radio, Abbey Road Studios and many other clients before relocating to the US to manage a venture for Lucent Technologies Bell Labs Innovations in 1998. Scott began his career as a recording engineer in the UK and worked with various artists including Annie Lennox and Simple Minds. He designed and managed a recording studio complex in Glasgow, Scotland that is now called The Brill Building.

Nicolas Pelletier, Chief Executive Officer, Musiwave: Nicolas Pelletier joined the company in June 2000, shortly after its creation, as Director of Strategy and Finance and later became Chief Strategy Officer. He was appointed Chief Executive Officer (CEO) in October 2004. During his time with Musiwave, Nicolas has played a key role in the company’s development and international expansion. His responsibilities as Chief Strategy Officer included securing distribution deals with major record labels. Now, in his capacity as CEO, he is responsible for defining and implementing Musiwave’s development strategy and has overall responsibility for sales and for securing and upgrading licenses with the record industry. Prior to joining Musiwave, Nicolas gained valuable expertise in the fields of international finance and telecommunications during more than ten years spent as a corporate banker with French investment bank Paribas (now BNP-Paribas). His achievements there included the successful negotiation of major telecommunication agreements such as France Télécom’s acquisition of Telefónica Argentina in 1993 and privatization deals such as that of France Télécom in 1997-98. Nicolas holds a degree from one of France’s top business schools, the Institut d’Etudes Politiques in Paris.
