Mike Brady, Senior Director, Business Development, Fast Search & Transfer: Senior Director, Business Development, Fast Search & Transfer: Mr. Brady has spent his career in the software industry helping businesses leverage digital technology to improve profitability. His expertise includes working for MSA Media, Centerseat, Inc., and PricewaterhouseCoopers LLP, with responsibility for enabling new technologies in media and communications. As Sr. Director, Bus. Dev. at Fast Search & Transfer, Mr. Brady works with wireless carriers and content companies to apply search technology to maximize revenue from commerce, advertising and multi-media services online and with mobile devices. Mr. Brady has an MBA from The Wharton School of Business.
Andy Jagoe, CEO and founder, 3jam: Andy is a serial entrepreneur focused on improving t he way people work and live through the use of communications technology. In 1996, he founded Intranet Communications. As CEO, Andy created a MyYahoo-style Internet portal platform and closed early stage deals with Nissan North America, Pinkerton and Computer Associates International. By early 1999, Intranet Communications was profitable. In 2000 Andy moved on to serve as a consultant to mobile location services start-ups in Europe and the US ; that work culminated in the publishing of his book "Mobile Location Services" with Prentice Hall. He then joined Palm Inc. as a product manager in the wireless software group. In 2003, Andy joined Netservice Ventures Group to focus on next generation mobile product strategy development for NTT and Sony Mobile Products and to incubate and invest in innovative new mobile media 3jam was incubated at Netservice Ventures, where Andy remains a partner. 3jam is reply-all text messaginga new and better way to keep people in touch with their friends. The firm located in Menlo Park is venture-funded by NEA (New Enterprise Associates) and launched at DEMOfall 2006. Jagoe holds an MBA and a BA from the University of California, Berkeley. His background includes public service consulting work with the GeekCorps in Yerevan, Armenia.
Brady O. Bruce, Senior Vice President of Telecom Products and Services, Promptu: Brady O. Bruce leads Promptu's business activities serving mobile carriers, with overall responsibility for business development, product management, sales and marketing. Bruces career spans more than 20 years in telecommunications, broadband, and consumer technology. Prior to Promptu, Bruce served as vice president of sales and support at PRISMIQ, Inc., a leader in digital media hubs and consumer electronics. Bruce helped to establish the PRISMIQ MediaPlayer as the industry's top-selling product, and to garner top awards such as Product of the Year from PC Magazine and other publications. Prior to joining PRISMIQ, Bruce served as senior vice president of marketing and business development for NightFire Software, a maker of service management and network provisioning applications for communication service providers, expanding the company's business into Europe and Asia. Before NightFire, Bruce served as vice president of marketing at Radius (and its successor Digital Origin), the renowned maker of digital media products, where he led a complete rebranding, created new retail products, and expanded international distribution. Bruce was also successful as an entrepreneur, co-founding Fatbubble, Inc., a pioneering social networking and peer-to-peer marketing firm, and the not-for-profit Texas Telemedicine Project. He also served in senior sales and marketing management positions at VTEL Corporation, a leading video-conferencing technology company. Before entering the private sector, Bruce was an instructor and senior lecturer in economics at the University of Texas at Austin, Texas State University, and Austin Community College. Bruce earned his B.A. and M.A. degrees in economics from the University of Texas at Austin, where he also completed his doctoral coursework in international monetary economics.
Atakan Cetinsoy, VP Business Products, MyStrands: Atakan has more than 10 years of customer and product marketing experience with some of the most admired global brands in the computer hardware and software, Internet/e-Commerce and transportation industries. Most recently Atakan served 5 years with Apple Computer, where he led the effort to model customer value as driven by the adoption of digital media services offered through the market leading iTunes Music Store platform. His ability to recognize emerging consumer trends in this fast growing segment of the media market led to the first fully personalized application of music recommendations on the iTunes platform serving millions of users in 21 countries. Prior to iTunes Music Store, Atakan spent 3 years developing the global enterprise marketing infrastructure and processes for Apple's US$1 billion plus online direct sales channel. Before joining Apple in 2001, Atakan was part of Yahoo!'s loyalty marketing team crafting online methods to increase user retention while leveraging key marketing partnerships with consumer brands to bring more value to the 6 million plus member base. Atakan also has tenure with FedEx during which he managed the company's award winning online near real time package tracking services and oversaw the effort to launch vertical applications in the same category. As part of FedEx Corporate Marketing team his work fueled the repositioning of the marketing strategies for the hotly contested multi-modal, dual carrier shipping segment. Atakan holds a B.S. degree in Electrical and Electronics Engineering from Bogazici University in Istanbul and an M.B.A. from The University of Georgia as a fully sponsored Internation Student scholar of the Terry College of Business.
Elliott Easterling, General Manager, Red Bricks: Elliott Easterling is a seasoned sales and marketing innovator and visionary. Elliott was previously a Sales and Account Management Vice President with Digital Impact where he was responsible for the stewardship of 60% of the company's accounts. At Digital Impact, Elliott also started and grew the Customer Acquisition and Media Planning group to $4,000,000 in quarterly sales within one year. Prior to Digital Impact, Elliott served in sales and account management at AnswerThink consulting group. Elliott has experience resolving the marketing challenges of such venerable organizations as Fidelity Bank, Dell Inc., Hewlett Packard, Peet's Coffee and Tea, Eddie Bauer, and Lancome.
Mike Nowak, The Product Guy, Plum. Mike has a strong belief that if you marry online communities and user-generated content something very exciting happens. At Plum, he is currently managing the development of a new Internet service that lets people collect almost anything (video, pictures, web pages, emails and more) from the web or their computers and publish their collections online. He's particularly interested in how multimedia collections can be used as social tools by aiding collaboration and connecting people with similar interests. Previously, Mike did marketing and product strategy for ecommerce and shopping comparison applications at SquareTrade, Inc. Prior to SquareTrade, Mike was a freelance writer. He has written on technology and social entrepreneurship for publications including Wired News and the San Francisco Bay Guardian.
Joyce A. Schwarz is an author/speaker/consultant and one of the leaders in the emergin g entertainment and media arena. She heads JCOM, a new product launch and branding consulting firm located in Marina Del Rey, California. Joyce has created marketing and advertising campaigns for more than 100 consumer and B2B technologies and products ranging from emusic.com to projects for Philips, France Telecom & AT&T. She combines more than 20 years experience in advertising and marketing for international ad agencies such as Foote Cone & Belding with a masters degree in film from USC and extensive production experience in film, television, video and interactive. She wrote "Reinventing Hollywood" for the NAB in 1992 and then co-wrote "Multimedia: Gateway to the Next Millennium" in 1993, "How to Break Into the New Hollywood" in 1995. Her latest book is "Cutting the Cord: Guide to Going Wireless" Que Publishing, June 2002. Schwarz is well known as a business writer and colu! mnist for more than 150 articles in such publications as: Business 2.0, Conferenza, Digitrends.net, 'Christian Science Monitor", 'Sales and Marketing' (SAM), LA Times and more. She was the chair and organizer for the first Paris, France Internet/ITV conference from 1995-1997, Digital Day LA , 1993-1996 and is a popular keynote speaker at such conferences as the Invention Convention and the San Diego Computer Fair. She specializes in developing partnerships and alliances for emerging entertainment and new technologies.
