Stacy A. Melle, Vice President Marketing, On-Demand, NBC Universal Cable: Stacy A. M elle, Vice President Marketing, On-Demand at NBC Universal Cable, is responsible for the creation and execution of pay-per-view (PPV) and video-on-demand (VOD) marketing campaigns to promote Universal Studios, Focus Features and Rogue Films current and library movies, TV content from NBCs broadcast and cable networks as well as special events. Most recently she has directed campaigns for "The 40-Year-Old Virgin," "King Kong" and "Brokeback Mountain." Before joining NBC, Melle worked as an Affiliate Relations Manager for Viewers Choice (now called iN DEMAND) where she assisted western U.S. cable operators in the management and marketing of their PPV service. Melle has also worked as a PPV Manager at South Bay CableVision (InterMedia Partners) where she launched PPV and managed the daily PPV operations and marketing. Melle and has been recognized with numerous industry awards from (Cable Telecommunications Association of Marketing (CTAM) to Women in Cable and Telecommunications (WICT). Melle and her team was honored with a CTAM Silver MARK Award for "The Mummy" campaign and most recently they received First Place for CTAMs Digital PPV & VOD Case Study for their local ad sales promotion tying in CNBC and In Good Company. Previous CTAM Case Study Competition awards include the "American Pie" and "FlickFest" campaigns. In November 2003, Melle was included in The Hollywood Reporters "10th Annual Next Generation" issue recognizing the top thirty-five most promising executives poised to lead the industry. In addition, Melle has been twice rewarded with a Marketing Manager Award from Showtime Event Television, as well as the Bay Area Cable Excellence Award for Best Producer of a Documentary. In 1999, the Chicago Chapter of WICT presented Melle with the Dana Thompson Rising Star Award. She currently serves as Chapter Mentor of the Southern California Chapter of WICT and is a frequent speaker at fundraising events for the Cystic Fibrosis Foundation. Melle is a graduate of Santa Clara University and lives in Stevenson Ranch, California with her husband Kelly.
Sara Francis, Senior Account Executive, Deep Focus: Sara Francis has dedicated her ca reer to advancement of entertainment marketing and advertising in all forms of media. Her career began at Miramax Films and through her expertise, helped the company establish the film industrys benchmark for online marketing, advertising and promotions. Sara joined Deep Focus in 2004 to head the agencys music and film initiatives, managing clients such as Fox Searchlight, Miramax Films and Interscope, Geffen, and Island Def Jam Records. Sara has been instrumental in the development of the agencys most recognized digital marketing campaigns for recording artists such as Gwen Stefani, The Black Eyed Peas, Eminem, Beck, Kanye West, Mariah Carey, Mary J. Blige, The Strokes, Dave Matthews Band and the Foo Fighters. In 2005, Sara moved to Los Angeles on behalf of Deep Focus to spearhead the opening of the agencys West Coast office. Sara received her BA in Film at Vassar College and is originally from New Haven, Connecticut.
Clarke De Pastino Vice President, Entertainment & Lifestyle of Streetwise Concepts and Culture As the senior member of the Streetwise Concepts and Culture team, De Pastino has helped drive the growth of the company from its initial success in the music arena to its current leadership position providing marketing solutions in the areas of film, television and well-known consumer Brands ranging from Nokia to Jack in the Box to Coca Cola. De Pastino has utilized his creative marketing skills in conceptualizing non-traditional, viral-natured campaigns to generate word-of-mouth and media attention for projects such as the creation of the website for ABCs breakout hit show LOST, a new database management and consumer activation tool entitled The Back Lot for Paramount, and the Everything: Late Night campaign for Jack in the Box. De Pastino has developed countless programs that have received recognition and accolades for pushing the envelope, originality and consumer retention. Beginning in 1999, as De Pastinos garage became the early Streetwise headquarters, he was the on-site marketing director for four national concert tours including Ozzfest 2000 & 2001. His past entertainment industry experience also includes working as an associate producer for a production company. De Pastinos influences throughout his life include movies, television and literature. His fascination with all these mediums continues to this day, as well as additional interests in advertising, traveling and baseball. De Pastino earned a Bachelor of Science Communication at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, FL with a double major in Motion Picture Business and English Creative Writing. He grew up in Southington, CT and now makes his home in Los Angeles, CA.
Yael Elish - President and CEO Yael Elish is a 12 year veteran of several Internet start-ups with management positions in marketing, product management and business development positions. Before founding eSnips / Net Snippets in 2001, Yael was the Vice President of Strategic Development for Sunnyvale based Commtouch software, where she was responsible for defining the companies strategic directions for new product and market development. Yael was part of the senior management that took the company to its successful NASDAQ IPO in 2000. Prior to Commtouch, Yael led the sales and marketing efforts for various start-ups in Israel. Ms Elish holds a first degree in Foreign Relations from the Hebrew University of Jerusalem, Israel
Marissa Gluck, Founder and Managing Partner, Radar Research: Marissa Gluck is a writer, speaker and consultant covering the marketing and media industries. Named one of the ten " Thought Leaders of 2000" by Hub Magazine, Gluck has often been quoted in media outlets such as The New York Times, The Wall Street Journal, Advertising Age and Business Week. Additionally, she has appeared on CNBC, CBS Marketwatch, CNNfn, and NPR. Gluck has spoken at major industry conferences in the United States and Europe including AAAAANA e-business Conference and Trade Show, AD:TECH, and JupiterCannes Lions Global Advertising Forum. She has also addressed several university audiences and professional organizations, including USC's Annenberg School of Communication, NYU's Stern School of Business, and the IAB. Gluck was formerly a senior analyst at Jupiter Research, where she advised clients including Interpublic, Doubleclick, CBS, AOL Time Warner, and WPP on online advertising and marketing. Prior to joining Jupiter, Gluck was the research and emerging technologies specialist at i-traffic, providing strategic analysis and oversight of partnerships for clients such as Eddie Bauer, CDnow and Disney. Before that, she worked in account management at the advertising firm Ammirati Puris Lintas (now Lowe). Gluck earned her bachelors from Binghamton University and two masters degrees in global media and communication from the London School of Economics and the University of Southern California.
Mathieu Nouzareth founded Boonty S.A., one of the world leaders in digital distribution video games, in 2001. As Chairman, he currently oversees worldwide operations from the companys headquarters in Paris, France. Prior to establishing Boonty, Mathieu founded WebConcept with his brother Romain, who currently serves as CEO of Boontys United States operations. WebConcept was one of the first e-business consulting companies in France and quickly became an industry leader. After selling WebConcept to Swedens IconMedialab (Euronext: icon) in 1999, Mathieu continued his active role in the companys development, serving as President of IconMedialab in France until 2001. Mathieu is a graduate of the Management School of Grenoble, and holds an MBA from the Lubin School of Business in New York.

Gary Bishop, Deputy Director, Strategic Outreach Directorate, United States Army Acce ssions Command: In 1981Gary began his government service as a Television Producer/Director at Fort Knox Television, Fort Knox, KY. In this capacity he produced film, video and interactive training materials for the United States Army Recruiting Command and the United States Military Entrance Processing Command which gave him a strong understanding of the business processes required to enlist as soldier. After completing Long Term Training in 1987 he built PC based graphic systems, networked office and production facilities and developed and programmed applications to support Order/Entry, Inventory and Production Tracking and Cost Accounting. In 1995 he created his first web site and began to host image and audio files for download and an on-line tape catalog. In late 1995 the United States Army Recruiting Command recognized the potential of the Internet as a way to expand their Advertising, Marketing and brand presence and hired Gary to serve as the Webmaster for GoArmy.com. GoArmy.com has been recognized as a leader in the Government and was one of the first sites to integrate search capabilities and streaming video. In 2003 the site was recognized as the Top Government site by Streaming Magazine for its use of media in its Basic Training Webisode series. His role in the organization evolved to encompass responsibility for all of the web applications and technologies that serve and support employees, partners and customers. Gary is responsible for evaluating and provisioning short and long-range technology solutions that support the Commands business goals and objectives. As part of this he is currently working on projects to provide common directory services for access and authentication, enterprise content management and portals. He is also intimately involved in driving CRM and SCM applications to maximize customer value and enhance the Armys service and support offerings. In 2005 Gary transferred to the USAAC Strategic Outreach Directorate to become the Chief of the Advertising and Media Division, AMD. The AMD is responsible for managing and coordinating the production of TV, Radio and print advertising, media placement and GoArmy.com. To manage the Army creative assets, Gary initiated the creation of a Marketing Resource Management system to enable workflow based control over requirements definition, creative development, materials placement, execution and response tracking and reporting. In February of this year Gary was selected as the Deputy Director, Strategic Outreach in that capacity he is responsible for all marketing communications and events. The Army continues to lead in the area of web based technology having recently launched an AI Bot, SGT Star, this year to facilitate dialogues with prospective customers. The use of video on the web continues to be a strength of GoArmy.com in providing experiential opportunities. The Army Game is another area that allows customers to vicariously assume personas and roles that further their understanding of the Army as an opportunity. In addition to these initiatives the Army will continue to evolve GoArmy.com to embrace emerging technologies and trends such as Web 2.0 and social networking. Gary holds a BA, Film Production from Southern Illinois University-Carbondale, 1980. He also completed Graduate Studies in MIS at the Indiana University School of Public and Environmental Affairs, 1986. Gary lives with his wife, Kathy in Vine Grove, KY. They have two children, a son Collin who is a Senior at Columbia College, Chicago. Their daughter Darci, her husband LCDR Joseph Guerrein and their granddaughters, Kylie and Kaci live in Hanford, CA.
