Games as a mobile content category has evolved in the past three years into a multi-billion dollar industry, creating as much buzz and excitement among the press and with the gaming consumer as the console platform. The release of every new mobile gaming platform along with its enhanced content possibilities is the trigger for another games industry boom. And joined together with an evolving relationship to the advertainment, in-game advertising and custom branded experience, the mobile gaming industry is an entertainment power driver. In this session, we are pleased to bring together experts from all sectors, the platform, the content and the commerce.

Brandon Berger is the Senior Strategist for Digital Innovation for OgilvyInteractive. Brandon is responsible for leading client engagements regarding the application of innovative technologies for their evolving business challenges. For clients including Unilever, IBM, Hershey's, American Express, Office of National Drug Control Policy (ONDCP), AT&T wireless and others Brandon has used digital innovation as a key means to engage customers in new ways, thus providing brand relevance for their ever increasingly complex customer lifestyle. Prior to joining OgilvyInteractive Brandon Berger was the Director of Marketing for WideRay Corp, a wireless technology company he co-founded in 2000. In addition to WideRay Brandon has been a consulting resource for Entertainment, Technology, Gaming and Mobile Marketing companies on leveraging gaming, wireless, and emerging platforms for extending a brand message into an individual's personal environment. Brandon is a member of Ogilvy's Global Telco Task force, Tribe 25, their youth marketing practice, and is currently leading efforts for all Gaming and Wireless programs at Ogilvy.
Jack Philbin, Co-Founder and President, Vibes Media: Jack Philbin spearheads the company's business development and the overall direction. He has become an influential leader in the wireless industry, and has been instrumental in building text messaging as a marketing tool and proving its value to a range of clients, from wireless carriers, to agencies, to consumer marketers. Jack is an entrepreneur and builder, with specific expertise in business development, strategic client management, and consumer marketing. Jack introduced the radio industry to mobile interaction by setting up the first cross carrier text message request line in the U.S. The Vibes iRadio platform launched with KTTB B96 in the summer of 2003. In 2004 Jack brought Vibes messaging programs to the world of consumer packaged goods by executing programs for McDonald's, Anheuser-Busch, and Hershey's.
Michael Steuer is the Vice President of Games for Charismatix/Twistbox Games. In this role, Steuer is responsible for the rollout and continued growth of the company's mobile games division and maximizing the commercial success of its internal development studio, Charismatix. Steuer was previously the General Manager of MINICK USA and oversaw the North American rollout of the European leading mobile applications provider, which THQ Wireless purchased a controlling interest of in May of 2004. THQ Wireless is a world-leading publisher of games, entertainment and information services for wireless devices and a wholly owned subsidiary of THQ Inc. As General Manager of MINICK USA, Steuer was responsible for establishing business relations with wireless carriers as well as companies in the entertainment, music and consumer goods industries. This also included creating high quality wireless services, such as SMS, EMS and MMS messaging, information, multimedia and voting applications for THQ Wireless existing relationships with major licensors such as Nickelodeon, National Football League, Major League Baseball, Marvel and World Wrestling Entertainment. Steuer, a THQ veteran who has been at the forefront of Europes booming e-commerce and wireless industries, spent two years as Technical Director for THQ Wireless before his tenure at MINICK USA, based in the companys Krefeld/Dusseldorf office in Germany. Prior to joining THQ, Steuer ran the Netherlands office of MINICK after his wireless messaging provider business was purchased by MINICK. In 1997, Steuer founded Buycomp.nl, a Benelux based web retailer where he was Managing and Technical Director of the company until 1999. Steuer is a founding board member of the Dutch 'Stichting Mobile Services', an industry body consisting of all Dutch wireless carriers and service providers and studied Medical Information Science, Medicine and Social Information Science at the University of Amsterdam.
Roy Sehgal is the Vice President of Business and Corporate Development at Atom Entertainment. In this role, Roy is responsible for creating strategies and partnerships to accelerate revenue growth from Atoms core video and games businesses, seeking acquisition opportunities and managing new business initiatives such as Atoms entry into mobile content. Roy is a new media veteran with extensive experience building new businesses in the online and mobile industries over the past 10 years. Prior to joining Atom Entertainment, Roy was SVP of Sales and Business Development at July Systems, where he helped companies such as Cingular Wireless, Electronic Arts POGO and RealNetworks create and launch the mobile industrys first try-before-buy and subscription business models for mobile games. As Vice President of Mobile Commerce at InfoSpace (NASDAQ: INSP), he was part of the early mobile business development team in 2000 that built the company into one of the worlds largest mobile content creators and enablers. Prior to InfoSpace, Roy was Director of Business Development at Prio, a provider of turnkey online and mobile promotion services (acquired by InfoSpace) that leveraged the internet and credit card infrastructure to drive real-world commerce and an Associate at Marakon Associates, a strategy consulting firm to Fortune 100 clients such as Nordstrom and Bank of America.
Steve Bradbury, Vice President, Business Development, GoTV Network: Steve brings ov er a decade of entertainment convergence experience to his role at GoTV Networks, focusing on the burgeoning made-for-mobile, video-on-demand space. GoTV provides news, sports, music, entertainment, and other essential content customized specifically for cell phone users. Prior to GoTV, Steve was President of Marketing By Design where he was responsible for the interactive division of the Improv Comedy Clubs, Showbiz Scoop for Columbia TriStar Interactive, the eSportsworld executive conference, a $20 million McDonalds/Coca-Cola tie-in for Santa Claus: The Movie and the Openwave/IBM mobile entertainment summit. For the last six years, he has led the Hollywood & Digital program at UCLA Extension. Steves corporate experience includes VP Marketing of MGM Worldwide Television and Director, Creative Services at Universal/MCA TV.
Sean Malatestam, CEO, IG Americas LLC, a unit of Indiagames Ltd.: Sean Malatesta has served as a key executive in building and developing businesses within the Media, Telecom, Entertainment and Games sectors. Malatesta is a seasoned entrepreneur. Since 1998, he has participated in raising more than $50 million in strategic financing for companies. At Indiagames, Malatesta manages the business in the Americas, interacting with mobile carriers, handset makers and rights holders. Prior to Indiagames, Malatesta was Director of Business Development with Mobile365 (formerly Mobileway) a leading mobile carrier aggregator and full service mobile company. At Mobile365, Malatesta assembled partnerships with mobile carriers, technology companies, content makers, motion picture studios, TV networks, records labels, advertising agencies and media companies. He played an instrumental role in managing the explosive worldwide growth of two of the leading companies in the field of electronic program guides: in the past, Malatesta was VP, Business Development/Mobile for DigiGuide, a UK technology company, that produces leading applications including advanced TV guides (EPGs) for multi- platforms (including interactive TV). Earlier in his career, in New York City, Malatesta was Founder and Vice President, International & Domestic Business Development and Co-Founder of Yack Media Services (YMS), publisher of the leading Internet Program Guide service. Malatesta began his career as an Agent Trainee at The William Morris Agency. He has been profiled in publications worldwide and was selected by Ernst & Young as an Entrepreneur of The Year Finalist (2000). Malatesta has shared his vision for networked entertainment at many industry conferences, including MIT, CES, Digital Hollywood, NAB, COMDEX, CTIA, NATPE, MIP/MILIA and Internet World. He holds a B.A. from University of Michigan and a J.D. from the New York Law School.
