Mobile communications has effectively and successfully integrated itself into our daily lives as the primary personal and business communications vehicle and daily usage is only accelerating. With every new feature and service provided, the acceptance and adaptation of mobile as the broadband, audio, video and text based consumer information and entertainment accessory is continually reinforced. The entertainment, information and technology industries have effectively joined forces in providing the consumer with one of the most readily adapted and embraced consumer products ever devised. The question of whether the consumer is willing to accept video as a mobile service is no longer in question. In the coming year, the industry will experiment with new and enhanced products and services, with video, audio and text features and it will be the consumer who will sort out the hits from the misses. Video and broadband is now the dominant vision for the future of mobile consumer adaptation.

Paul Scanlan
is co-founder and current Chief Operating Officer of MobiTV, Inc., the parent company to MobiTV. Since launching MobiTV in 2000, Scanlan has played a critical role in managing the companies’ growth from a start-up to the first and only global television network for cell phones. During his tenure, Scanlan has been instrumental in launching MobiTV on three of the nations’ leading cellular carrier networks, and in securing MobiTV’s current line-up of over 20 well-known channels through negotiations with some of the nations’ largest television content providers. Additionally, Scanlan manages all of the companies International efforts and operations where he has played a key role in generating the initial momentum and hiring the teams to run the new MobiTV offices around the world. Scanlan is a frequent speaker at industry trade shows and conferences, and is widely respected in the mobile entertainment industry for his pioneering efforts in mobile multi-media.










Michael Arrieta,
Senior Vice President, Sony Pictures Digital Sales and Marketing: As Senior Vice President of Sony Pictures Digital Sales and Marketing, a division of Sony Pictures Digital, Michael Arrieta is responsible for extending Sony Pictures Entertainment properties into the digital marketplace through digital sales, licensing, distribution, marketing and integrated promotions. In this role, Arrieta oversees online promotion via SonyPictures.com, mobile entertainment, and the digital sale of the studio’s film and television programming via emerging outlets worldwide. Since he joined Sony Pictures in 1997, Arrieta has helped shape critical digital programs and has been a key driver in creating entirely new broadband business initiatives for emerging, newly empowered audiences. His leadership in the mobile entertainment arena has helped place the company at the forefront of the emerging mobile market. The division has developed an array of successful mobile entertainment offerings including games, ringtones, wallpaper, video products and other personalization products for such diverse properties as Spider-Man 2, "Wheel of Fortune," "Jeopardy!," and "Team McLaren Mercedes " Arrieta previously served as Senior Vice President, Strategic Alliances, for Sony Pictures Digital and was responsible for the creation and execution of all sales, licensing, acquisition and distribution efforts of Sony Pictures Entertainment in the digital marketplace. Prior to this, he served as Vice President of Operations and Co-General Manager of Sony Pictures’ Broadband Content Group where he oversaw the strategic development and operations for Sony Screenblast and the company’s creation of original programming for the broadband marketplace. An online entertainment industry expert, Arrieta has been central in focusing Sony Pictures' corporate development efforts in both traditional and digital media. He has helped identify and enable strategic opportunities for the company, including investments in important technology partners. Prior to joining Sony Pictures Entertainment, Arrieta worked for 20th Century Fox and Morgan Creek Productions, and served as a strategic consultant in the Entertainment Group at Price Waterhouse. Arrieta received his B.A. in economics and his M.B.A. from the University of California, Los Angeles. He resides in Los Angeles with his wife and two children.

Jason Rubinstein, Senior Director, Entertainment, Mobile Devices business, Motorola, Inc.: As Senior Director, Entertainment within Motorola’s Mobile Devices business, Jason Rubinstein is responsible for defining and bringing to market rich consumer experiences in mobile entertainment. In this role, Jason works with industry partners, developers and mobile operators around the globe to develop a portfolio of mobile devices and solutions delivering enhanced video and gaming functionality to the screen that you always have with you – your mobile phone. Jason has 17 years of entertainment and technology experience. Prior to joining Motorola, Jason served as General Manager of ubi.com, the online division of Ubi Soft Entertainment (www.ubi.com). Before joining Ubi Soft in 2001, Jason was Vice President and General Manger of the live music division at Riffage.com and produced critically-acclaimed programming for TV and the web including The 2000 New Orleans Jazz Festival, "BBC Music Live," and "Live From The Great American Music Hall." Jason has also managed Intel's games and music industry market development and technology initiatives and held posts in marketing and business development at Total Entertainment Network (renamed Pogo.com, then sold to Electronic Arts), DreamWorks Interactive and Sierra On-Line/The Imagination Network (sold to AT&T, then AOL). Prior to joining Sierra On-Line, Jason held both production and marketing posts at CBS Records and the Warner Music Group.

Omar Javaid is senior director of business development for QUALCOMM MediaFLO. Javaid joined QUALCOMM in 2003 as senior director of business development for QUALCOMM Wireless Business Solutions (QWBS). Javaid brings more than a decade of technology and entrepreneurial experience to QUALCOMM, ranging from strategic business planning to advanced information systems planning, development and implementation. Prior to joining QUALCOMM, Javaid was the chief technologist for Wireless Knowledge, overseeing and driving thought leadership and enterprise client development for Wireless Knowledge. Previously Javaid was the founder, chairman, and chief technology officer at Mobilocity, Inc., a professional services firm providing mobile technology solutions. In this capacity, Javaid was instrumental in establishing Mobilocity as one of the world’s leading mobile and wireless consulting firms. In addition to his entrepreneurial experience, he has held key technology leadership roles in Deloitte & Touche LLP, Advance Publications, and The University of Michigan. Javaid holds a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and cellular and molecular biology from the University of Michigan.

Daren Tsui is the CEO and co-founder of mSpot, a pioneer in mobile multimedia entertainment. Tsui founded the company in 2004 with the goal of helping movie studios, music labels and media corporations produce and deliver exciting, high-quality audio and video programming for mobile phones. Since its introduction to the market, mSpot has launched four services ranging from radio, music, sports and was the first mobile entertainment service to stream full-length feature films to mobile phones. Prior to founding mSpot, Daren was the vice president of business development at Enpocket, a global mobile media company providing integrated entertainment and marketing services.

Edward Skolarus, Vice President, Business Operations, Fox Reality: Edward Skolarus serves as Vice President, Business Operations for Fox Reality where he oversees business development and emerging media applications for the year-old service. He likewise manages Fox Reality’s program licensing and content ventures for on-air and other platforms, together with Fox Networks Group support teams. Since joining Fox Reality in January of 2006, he has acquired and launched many top reality programs for on-air and digital media platforms. He also helped launch Fantasy Reality Challenge, an on-line fantasy game for reality television fans and initiated Fox Networks Group’s first interactive viewer experience, utilizing Fox Reality’s daily "Reality Remix." Viewers can use their cell phones to answer questions, participate in polls and other features in real-time synchronization with the series. Skolarus also launched "Reality Remix" podcasts, available through www.foxreality.com, www.itunes.com and www.yahoo.com. Mr. Skolarus joins Fox Reality from GoldPocket Interactive Inc., where he served as division Senior Vice President responsible for distribution, sales and marketing. During his five year tenure with GoldPocket, Mr. Skolarus branded and launched the company within the entertainment market, significantly grew cable/satellite/mobile distribution, assisted in acquiring digital media and mobile companies and launched interactive and mobile applications for leading broadcasters such as CBS, HSN, NBC, GSN, FOX, NFL and DirecTV. Prior to GoldPocket, Mr. Skolarus served as COO and VP of Marketing at BadaBiz Inc., an Internet content collaboration company specializing in Digital Rights Management and security for content distribution. Prior to BadaBiz, Mr. Skolarus was the CEO and co-founder of RenderView Software Inc., a leading digital content collaboration and communication company. Skolarus began his career as a lead systems architect and software engineer for Ford and Chrysler motors developing large-scale enterprise software systems. Originally from Michigan, Skolarus graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Computer Science and Engineering from Eastern Michigan University. In addition, did post-graduate studies at Wayne State University in medicine.

Frank Chindamo, President and Chief Creative Officer, Fun Little Movies: Frank Chindamo is the President and Chief Creative Officer of Fun Little Movies. "FLM" specializes in producing original, live-action comedy films for its mobile channels of entertainment on Sprint-Nextel, Microsoft, Smart Video phones, in the US and many other countries around the world. They’re known as "Fun Funny Phone Films." Fun Little Movies has been the subject of cover stories in Forbes Magazine and the L.A. Times, and stories in Variety, Hollywood Reporter, CBS Radio, Wired Magazine, CBS TV’s Inside Edition, The Chicago Tribune, and several other outlets. Frank Chindamo holds the world's record for most short films made independently. His films have appeared on HBO, Showtime, CBS, PBS, A&E, Playboy, MTV and Comedy Central, etc. They’ve won 20 awards including The American Cine Golden Eagle, The American International Film Festival and a Finalist's Place for Best Short at the Cannes Film Festival. Frank is also an Adjunct Professor at the University of Southern California. At USC, Frank teaches short screenplay writing. He also created the Student Script Database, the tool which will allow directors and writers to pool their talent and is intended to bring the best-written scripts at USC to the screen. As Executive Director of the Staged Screenplay Reading Series at the Lee Strasberg Theater, and as the Director of the Professional Screenwriting Workshops at SONY Studios, Chindamo developed fourteen feature films which have been produced for the screen. Frank also taught at the Gotham Writer’s Workshop and City University of New York. Frank was also a Vice President of Development at two production companies in LA and has worked as a script consultant on numerous projects. Frank Chindamo received his Film B.F.A. from N.Y.U. and his Screenwriting M.F.A. from Columbia University.
