The ever expanding boundaries of entertainment in the national as well as global culture presents not just opportunities for specific brand extension or advertising, the merger of Hollywood and Madison Ave. represents a quantitative shift in the creative process. As the consumer alters its relationship to media, integrating broadband into every aspect of everyday life - from the mobile, to the public space and into the home - the power of the electronic message, whether delivered as advertising or via movies, TV, games, news or even as a function of the communications device itself, is a transformational tool. The industry is now experiencing its first steps in the fusion of marketing, entertainment and content. The real excitement will be found as the creative talent in the industry gets to experiment, innovate and produce new forms.

Chris Di Cesare, Director of Entertainment Marketing, Microsoft: Christopher M. Di Cesare, Director of Games Marketing, Xbox, PC and Online Games: Chris Di Cesare has ten years of experience in strategic marketing and planning within the online entertainment and games sector. With Microsoft since 1995, Chris has been actively involved in the marketing and product development of Microsoft’s most successful titles for Xbox, PC and MSN Games. Also responsible for the conception and development of OutSmart, Zone.com’s flagship celebrity trivia game, Chris has successfully guided Zone.com to a more strategic advertising and revenue-focused business model with record-breaking reach. Chris holds a BA from Villanova University and an MBA in marketing from George Washington University.





Larry Tanz joined LivePlanet during the startup phase in late summer 2000. Larry oversees all of LivePlanet's business activities and helps lead the strategy and vision of the company. Over the past year, he has served as Producer on the Emmy-nominated series "Project Greenlight" for Bravo, Executive Producer on the feature film "First Descent" for Universal, Executive Producer on the series "The Entertainer" for E!, and Co-Producer on the feature film "Feast" for Dimension. Prior to joining LivePlanet, Larry served as Director of Strategy and Operations at AOL Time Warner, where he was a founder of Netscape Netbusiness, a major new business initiative for AOL. He co-authored the business plan and spearheaded production and operations. Before joining AOLTW he was a Senior Associate at Mercer Management Consulting, where he helped Fortune 100 clients develop and implement new products and strategies. Engagements ranged from Internet to retail, and included over a year on the ground working with clients in Southeast Asia. Larry holds an MBA from the Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania, a Masters Degree in Behavioral Psychology from Harvard Graduate School of Arts and Sciences, and a B.A. from Harvard College.

Joey Carson, Chief Executive Officer, Bunim/Murray Productions: With unparalleled experience in business, finance and entertainment production, Joey Carson serves as chief executive officer of Bunim/Murray Productions. In this role he guides the L.A-based company, known for its successful reality TV shows, as it expands into scripted series and innovative programming: from brand-driven entertainment to custom-designed product that holds equal promise for television, the Web and emerging platforms such as mobile wireless. Carson joined Bunim/Murray in 2001 as chief operating officer, joining the company after it had earned acclaim for producing MTV’s "The Real World" for over a decade as well as "Road Rules," "Making the Band" and other popular unscripted television series. Early in his tenure he launched a number of production management initiatives that, combined with Bunim/Murray’s unmatched creativity and innovation, generated an outpouring of new projects at the company. They included a string of unscripted entertainment "firsts": the first reality sitcom ("The Simple Life" for Fox), the first reality feature film (The Real Cancun with New Line) and the first real-life daytime drama strip (Emmy award-winning "Starting Over," syndicated by NBC Universal). In 2004, as it ramped up production on "The Simple Life," Bunim-Murray produced other primetime series under Carson’s leadership: "The Rebel Billionaire: Branson’s Quest For the Best" (Fox) and the debut season of "The Scholar" (ABC), among them. This past year the company has continued to produce projects for cable, syndication and primetime, including the 17th season of "The Real World," the 12th season of the "Road Rules/Real World Challenge" and the third season of "Starting Over." Prior to joining Bunim-Murray, Carson oversaw production and finance for Fox’s 20th Television, where he guided an aggressive production slate that included such long-running hits as "Cops" and "America’s Most Wanted." He was instrumental in the creation of Fox’s Van Ness Films, which rapidly grew to be one of the largest suppliers for A&E’s "Biography." Previously, Carson held a variety of financial positions with Sony Pictures Entertainment. Over the course of his career, Carson has been involved $1 billion of television production and finance, spanning network, cable and first-run syndication. A graduate of Texas A&M University, Carson is a member of the Academy of Television Arts & Sciences, the Museum of Television & Radio and the Hollywood Radio & Television Society. Also a member of the United States Tennis Association, he is one of the country’s top ranked players in his age division.

Tom Meyer, president, Davie-Brown Entertainment: Tom Meyer was named President of Davie-Brown Entertainment (DBE) in January 2005. A full service entertainment marketing consultancy firm with unparalleled outreach, DBE specializes in strategic marketing, product placement and integration, branded entertainment, promotions, and celebrity/buzz marketing for top global brands. The company is currently celebrating its 20th year in business. An entertainment-marketing veteran, Mr. Meyer has continuously been at the forefront of the hugely popular and successful branded entertainment business having created and implemented significant marketing opportunities and campaigns for dozens of multi-million dollar consumer companies within the various platforms of the industry. His most recent successful deals include a Pepsi and Frito-Lay tie-in with Star Wars Episode III: Revenge of the Sith and telecommunication giant SBC's tie-in with The Incredibles. As President, Mr. Meyer manages DBE's day-to-day business, as well as charting overall entertainment strategy for clients and the agency. Specifically, he oversees entertainment-marketing opportunities in film, television, video gaming and other ancillary markets for the company's roster of top-notch clients, including Pepsi, Hewlett-Packard, Cisco, Miller Brewing and PlayStation, among others. Mr. Meyer joined DBE from 7 years at Paramount Pictures where he quickly rose through the ranks, culminating as director of theatrical marketing for the company's worldwide marketing partnerships group. In this position, Mr. Meyer was responsible for securing, coordinating and managing major corporate tie-ins for Paramount's filmed and entertainment properties. During his stint, he also developed the groundbreaking Rugrats/Mercury Villager campaign, which featured the first-ever automotive animated commercial. Mr. Meyer began his career in TV news. Raised in New Orleans and Denver Mr. Meyer received his Bachelor's degree in Speech Communications from Colorado State University in 1987 and went on to earn his MBA with a concentration in Marketing from his alma mater in 1992. He currently resides in West Los Angeles.

ROBERT RIESENBERG, President and Chief Executive Officer, Full Circle Entertainment: Robert Riesenberg is President and Chief Executive Officer of Full Circle Entertainment, a division of Omnicom Group. Full Circle Entertainment is dedicated to the creation and production of original television programming that is funded by and serves the marketing and content needs of Advertisers. Prior to joining Full Circle Entertainment, Mr. Riesenberg established and served as a Director of Magna Global Entertainment, a business unit of the Interpublic Group of Companies where, over a three-year period, he was responsible for creating and producing over 50 hours of Primetime television programs. Included within that was the award-winning Johnson & Johnson Spotlight Presentation film series and the critically acclaimed "The Restaurant" on NBC. Prior to this, Mr. Riesenberg worked at McCann-Erickson North America as Senior Vice President, Broadcast & Programming Director/Coca-Cola, with Responsibilities for the agency’s domestic Coca-Cola media assignments. Mr. Riesenberg spent nine years as President/Owner of RER Communications, Inc. a television production and distribution company that developed and produced numerous television specials, feature films and TV movies. Earlier, Mr. Riesenberg was Senior Vice President, Director of Program Development at BBDO Worldwide where he developed programming for Chrysler Showcase and G.E. Theatre as well as numerous AfterSchool and Prime Time Specials.

David L. Kang, Media and Entertainment Consultant: Mr. Kang has developed digital branded entertainment strategies for leading artists including Leonardo DiCaprio, Cameron Diaz, Samuel Jackson, Jennifer Lopez, Linkin Park, Korn, Staind, Snoop Dogg, Ice Cube, Criss Angel and Kelly Clarkson while working as Senior Vice President of Strategic Development and New Media at The Firm, a film and music artist management company. Mr. Kang has also worked with global brands including Toyota and Garnier Fructis, and developed online marketing partnerships with ITunes, AOL, Yahoo!, MSN, Clear Channel, and MTV. Prior to The Firm, Mr. Kang was a media and entertainment consultant at McKinsey and Company, where he developed the growth strategy, financial model and business plan for a leading music entertainment client's digital entertainment hub and its DVD, game and merchandise businesses. At McKinsey, Mr. Kang also conducted primary market research for a leading cable MSO and led due diligence for private equity firms in wireless content and in music publishing. Prior to McKinsey, Mr. Kang was Senior Vice President, New Technology and Strategic Development at BMG Entertainment, where he led a team of technology, strategy and finance specialists with worldwide responsibility in $4.7 billion music company. At BMG, Mr. Kang developed wholesale online distribution, CD copy protection and digital rights management strategies, negotiated and closed BMG's first online music download and subscription license with MusicNet, and managed a $50 million strategic investment fund and held board seats in two portfolio firms. Prior to BMG, Mr. Kang was an Assistant Professor of Business Administration at Harvard Business School where he researched and presented published articles analyzing the effects of corporate governance on firm strategy and performance. At Harvard Business School, Mr. Kang also served as a technology evangelist for the School&Mac226;s online course platform and distance learning initiatives, and taught in both the MBA and Executive Education programs. Mr. Kang holds a Joint Ph.D. degree in Organizational Behavior from Harvard University and Harvard Business School, an MA in Sociology from Harvard University, and a J.D. from Harvard Law School.

Michael Kassan, Entertainment and Media Consultant: Michael E. Kassan is a internationally recognized leader in the area of media and entertainment. Mr. Kassan has acted as a development consultant presently to brands and companies including Home Depot, National Lampoon, Visible World, DIC Entertainment, Mindshare Worldwide, TV Guide, FBC (Fact Based Communications), Brandsense, Warner Home Entertainment, Revolution Studios, Entertainment Industry Foundation, Microsoft, Verizon, Constellation Ventures (Bear Stearns), Cerberus Capital Management and The Leverage Group, BNC, Cimarron Group. Previously, Mr. Kassan was the President/Chief Operating Officer and Vice-Chairman of Initiative Media Worldwide a division of The Interpublic Group of Companies (IPG:NYSE), at the time, the largest and most diversified media management company in the world, with more than 75 offices in North America, Europe and Asia. In 1997, he was named one of the top media executives in America by Advertising Age magazine. Mr. Kassan joined Initiative Media Worldwide in 1994 and was instrumental in the sale of the company to IPG. While there, he oversaw the day-to-day operations in North America and was the architect of the firm’s international expansion and grew media billings from $1.5 billion to over $10 billion. Mr. Kassan, an attorney was counsel to the Los Angeles law firm of Christensen, Miller, Fink, Jacobs, Glaser, Weil & Shapiro. He had been President and Chief Operating Officer of International Video Entertainment (Artisan Entertainment). Mr. Kassan has acted as a director and advisor to many charitable and community organizations, including The Hollywood Radio and Television Society, and previously serving on The Commission on California State Government Organization and Economy. He also has been Chairman of the Senate Select Committee on the Entertainment Industry in California and in 1998 was elected to the Board of the American Advertising Federation. Mr. Kassan has served on the following Boards as Director: H.E.L.P Group, Big Brothers of Los Angeles, Stephen S. Wise Temple and Skirball Cultural Center.
