Everything from blogging and Podcasting to Interactive TV is altering the user experience completely. The industry is finding a ready audience with an ever growing demand for better content and a better and a completely personalized experience. With the massive amount of content and technology being thrown at the consumer, navigating through that experience is not only difficult, it can be off-putting. We have entered the world of integrated user experience the post-TiVo generation of consumers and viewers who are watching and listening to new forms of content on new platforms of technology. Most recently, he was Sr. Director for Marketing and Business Development at Lantern Communications, a provider of metro transport equipment optimized for the delivery of Ethernet services, where he was responsible for Product Management, Marketing and Business Development. Prior to Lantern, Mr. Vasani led Product Management and Marketing for ADC's Access Products Division and was instrumental in the creation and launch of ServicePoint, ADC's award-winning service delivery platform. Mr. Vasani also held other Product Management and Engineering positions at ADC where he directed the development and launch of voice, video and data networking products for metro access networks. Mr. Vasani is the author of several papers and articles that have been published in national technology and trade publications. He also served as Vice President of Technology for the Resilient Packet Ring (RPR) Alliance. Mr. Vasani holds an M.S. in Management of Technology and an M.S. in Computer Science from the University of Minnesota Daniel J. OBrien is currently the Chairman and Chief Exec utive Officer of Gotuit Media Corp. Prior to joining Gotuit in April of 2005 OBrien was the Chairman/Chief Executive Officer of Brief Original Broadcasts, a new 24/7 digital cable channel dedicated to short form content. Previously, Mr. OBrien served as High Speed Access Corp.s President and Chief Executive Officer, and was a director of the company. He was responsible for all functions of the Company as well as producing the best financial return in the sector through a sale of the company assets to Charter Communications. Prior to HSA, Mr. OBrien served as the President and Chief Operating Officer of PRIMESTAR, Inc. where he oversaw the company's growth to 2.2 million customers, culminating in a sale to DirecTV. He previously served as President of Time Warner Satellite Services, which marketed and installed PRIMESTAR services, and served on the board of PRIMESTAR Partners, LP. Prior to that, Mr. OBrien was Vice President of Operations in Time Warner Cables Cincinnati division and served as Vice President of New Business for Warner Cable Communications, Inc. in Dublin, Ohio. Prior to Time Warner, Mr. OBrien worked for Jones Intercable as General Manager of properties in Alexandria, Virginia and Chicago, Illinois. He began his cable career with Jones in finance in Denver, Colorado in 1982.Greg Morrow is currently the President and co-founder of PureVideo. Mr. Morrow served as a General Manager of Yahoo! Music International from August 2003 to August 2005. Under his tenure as GM, Yahoo! rolled out music destinations in over 10 countries achieving the #1 music site ranking in 5 countries. Prior to his role as GM, Mr. Morrow served as the director of product strategy and marketing of Yahoo! Musics US destination, since the acquisition of LAUNCH Media, Inc. by Yahoo! in August 2001. Under his guidance, traffic, revenue and site usage increased significantly resulting in Yahoo! Music being ranked #1 globally among music destinations according to Media Metrix. Greg Morrow began his tenure at LAUNCH Media Inc. as the head of business development following LAUNCHs acquisition of the company he co-founded, MUSICVIDEOS.COM. In his role at LAUNCH, Mr. Morrow directed all strategic alliances and marketing opportunities for LAUNCH.com with companies including AOL, Yahoo, Real Networks and Microsoft. Mr. Morrow was co-founder and CEO of MUSICVIDEOS.COM, where he managed all aspects of the company including partnerships, marketing and product strategy. In 1997, Greg capitalizing on the shift in the broadcast media paradigm from television to Internet-based distribution, MUSICVIDEOS.COM delivered more than three million videos monthly to a membership of over 1.5 million viewers in the early years of Internet video delivery. Over the years Greg has been an active evangelist in the streaming media, entertainment and Internet industries. Greg has participated in numerous speaking engagements in his roles including Streaming Media Conferences, Jupiter MediaMetrix: Plug-in, Qualcomm Wireless Developer, WebNoize and Billboard Music Video Conference. Greg earned a Bachelor of Science in mechanical engineering from the University of California at Santa Barbara. Mark Jeffery, Sr. Director, Product Marketing, ICTV: A 10-year industry veteran, Mark joined ICTV as Senior Director, Product marketing after having served as director of product marketing and partner development for Terayon Communications. With Terayon. Jeffery was responsible for overseeing the product definition, development and strategic marketing of Terayon's entire line of digital video products. Previously, Mark held corporate and product marketing director positions with Kasenna, for which he led corporate branding initiatives and was responsible for OEM video server sales, product launches, worldwide sales support and technical training efforts. Prior to Kasenna, Mark was senior product manager for MediaBase at Silicon Graphics and held product management positions at Site Technologies and Etak. He holds a bachelor's degree from the University of California, Santa Barbara. Jay Schiller, Vice President, Business Development, Atlas On Dem and: Jay Schiller is vice president of business development for Atlas On Demand where he is responsible for business activities and strategy with operators, programmers, and technology partners. Schiller is a core member of the Atlas On Demand management team collaboratively setting the overall product and business strategy. Schiller joined Atlas from C-COR where he was most recently in charge of market development for the companys On Demand television and digital advertising solutions, and their convergence. Schiller brings more than 15 years experience in the cable and telecommunications industry, including roles at nCUBE, now C-COR, where he was responsible for product management for their On Demand and digital ad insertion product lines; and at TCI, now Comcast, where he was responsible for advertising sales technical operations for the Western U.S An established patent holder, Schiller earned an M.S. in Telecommunications from the University of Colorado, and a B.S. in Electrical Engineering from the University of Hartford. Israel Drori, President and CEO, Integra5 Communications: Israel Drori has nearly 20 years experience working with early stage companies and established publicly traded organizations. As President & CEO of Integra5, he provides vision and direction to help Integra5 capitalize on the advanced services opportunity with telecom, cable, Internet and wireless operators. Drori has founded several U.S. companies, most recently Legra Systems, an innovator of Wireless LAN switching solutions best known for its development of a Wireless Operating System (WOS). As President & CEO, Drori led the company through two rounds of financing, raising $20.5 million from leading VCs in the US, and successfully merged the company with NextHop Technologies, a developer of IP routing software solutions in October 2004. Prior to Legra Systems, Drori was CEO and founder of MeetU, a developer of Web collaboration software that was later acquired by Polycom (NASDAQ: PLCM), the largest player in the data and video collaboration market, in 2002. He was also CEO and Founder of NetXchange Communications, a subsidiary of LanOptics, identifying the potential of Internet Telephony. At NetXchange, Drori generated over $1 million in software sales during the first year; acquired over 60 International telecommunications customers such as KDD America and GRIC Inc.; and developed strategic relationships with major market leaders such as Intel (Dialogic) and NMS. Drori also served as Vice President of Wireless Business Access at Israeli-based BreezeCom, where he repositioned the company as a leader in the Broadband Wireless and Internet Access market using VOIP technology, from a previously leading position in the Wireless LAN market. He helped take the company to IPO (NASDAQ: ALVR) as a member of the executive team reporting to the board, resulting in a very successful IPO over $1 Billion in valuation. Pat Dunbar is a pioneer in new media and has over 20 years of experien ce developing new media businesses and consumer applications both as a consultant and as an executive at Fortune 100 firms. She co-founded the DiMA Group (Digital Media and Advertising) with Tom Morgan in 2002 and their first project was the ground-breaking DiMAS 1.0 Report, published in April 2003, which reflects the results of interviews with over 35 companies on behalf of the sponsoring advertisers (Best, Buy, DaimlerChrysler and Kraft Foods). It was through this project that Ms. Dunbar received the feedback from participants which lead her and her DiMA colleagues to form the ID!A Program (Innovations in Digital Advertising), a cross industry working group addressing issues in On Demand television. Prior to co-founding the ID!A Program, Ms. Dunbar ran her own consulting practice, Pat Dunbar & Associates, which specialized in the development and implementation of digital strategies. The firms consulting clients have included GMAC; Oracle, where she was Executive Producer of the first annual report on CD-ROM; McCaw Cellular, where she co-authored a Pioneer Preference Application on Digital Data; Microsoft; Pacific Bell; AT&T; Apple; and Bell Atlantic. In 1988 she co-facilitated and authored the Gateway 2000 Project - an industry initiative that addressed roadblocks to the emerging online industry. |
